    People fail because they listen to their friends who are jealous of what they’re trying to achieve and they stop out of guilt or they try to bring their friends with them and get dragged down by the nonsense of their stupid friends.

      Not just friends. Also bosses who are afraid you are too smart or coworkers. These will get rid of you, plus humiliate you by exaggerating your weak points and totally disregarding or belittling your strong points.

      Vic Row Well you could say that, but try to look from his point of view. It has been proven time and time again philosophically that what people you hang around with, and the judgment they leave on you.. Will impact your decisions and general mindset. Surely you can have friends who dismiss your dreams, while still living it. But there comes a point (no matter how powerful you are) where you will lose it to them.
      Even after proving yourself you were right, and they were wrong. But they will make you think otherwise, regardless (so long as you aren't at your best).

    There is absolutely nothing wrong with failing. Anyone who is successful or who has mastered anything has failed multiple times. The key is they learned from failure and became better.

    I remember playing a game of chess with my nephew a number of years ago. He got me into a position where he thought I didn't have any moves left and he called check and checkmate and then left the table after purportedly beating his uncle.
    I kept looking at the board and was really just thinking about how could I have played this game better and then I saw it. I had one move left. Just one.
    He came back to the table and said something about me losing and I said "you might want to take a look at the board because this game isn't over yet." He looked at the board as said "it's checkmate, what are you talking about?"
    So I made my move and said "sit down, we're not done yet."
    That game went on for quite a while after that point and I dug myself out of the corner he had me in and went on to whip his little ass metaphorically speaking.
    The moral to this little story is to never just quit. Even when they tell you that you lost. Double check the people who say checkmate. Because sometimes they don't see everything and sometimes you have just one move to make and that's all you need to go on to victory.

      I don't care if pwople call me nuts at trying and trying. As long as I'm tweaking along the way, I'll get to my goal. Yeah, it's hurtful that my own parents called me crazy to my face but that wasn't the first time or the last. I'm not going to stop improving in order to stop them from hurting me. I just keep as far away from them as possible.

    Failure is Not the end of the world you can learn from your mistakes and keep trying

  • @caiheang
    @caiheang 6 лет назад +31

    About first 2 minutes of this video, the narrator talked about people glorifying failures. We often see rich & successful people give inspirational speeches about why failure should be embraced, I don't disagree with neither Alux or these very successful individuals.
    The thing is, when someone is at their peak after a long-drawn struggle all the way to the top, it makes them appreciate everything, even some of the things that may not deserve any credit. Imagine yourself on top of the highest mountain in the world (hopefully you have an oxygen tank), your vision of your surroundings is filled with wonder and marvel, because the view at the top is just simply more inspirational. You wouldn't be concerned or upset about all the trials and tribulations that you have fought on the way up, because they're over and the present is beautiful.
    I'm in no way rich, and at the same time I seldom believe in the blind worship of any life philosophy coming from any individual. There are so many complex things in life that people love to over-simplify into catchy "golden-rules" that are in reality, much more complicated and situation-dependent.

    Tough love is the best because that shows that you care. Telling someone the truth though it may hurt is for our own good. I learned this the hard way. Those that want you to fail will tell you that you are doing great even though you are failing but someone that wants you to succeed will tell you that you need to work harder.

    Well I am confused to agree with No. 13. While having weight of 67 kg, I started exercising and when I measured it was still the same and depressing as I didn't make any change. So I took a decision to never measure my weight and just trust my image in the mirror. I decided I will measure only when I can see myself slim in the mirror.
    After 3-4 months i lost my weight gradually. I could see the difference. One day I decided to measure my weight, I thought at least I should be of 59 kg, but Wahoo I was of 50 kgs!!!!! I lost 17 kgs with my self discipline and perseverance....
    Related to measuring progress everyday you may have to deal with no change for sometime.
    But I guess in business, measuring progress is still an important aspect

      And I lost weight just in 3-4 months by intensive workout, swimming and healthy diet of eating small and rich every 2 hours 😄.

There's a reason why multi-millionaires and billionaires account to less than 10% of the World's population. Think about it. If this channel has more subscribers than fucking Pewdiepie, the chances of you having a millionaire as a buddy is far more likely.

    Why people fail
    1. Don't try in first place
    2. Don't understand what it takes
    3. Lazy
    4. Don't have a competitive advantage - golden rule - don't compete unless I have competitive advantage - if ai compete, am already behind - I'm here to dominate
    5. Don't learn & adapt fast enough
    6. Lack of self-discipline
    7. Lack of planning
    8. Fear of failure - even when failed, show up every singal day, work, go on
    9. Want too much too quickly
    10. Too emotional invested to realize I'm wrong !Unique Ideas vs Useful! - st. unique sucks. If didn't brought no where sucks!
    11. Make excuses
    12. Being resistant to advice - think I know the best - distinguish good from bad - only listen to the greatest!
    13. Don't measure progress - the second I stop keeping track, the progress is lost
    14. I only talk and nothing to show
    15. Give up
    16. Don't know myself - what are my values, definition of success
    Only the greatest go to the top the one who takes the risks & work on.
    Reach to the top

    The thing about failure is you have to take responsibility for it. I’ve failed. I’ve failed hard. I learned from it, got into college, got three degrees in that field, and I’m now successful and still growing. I didn’t get out of a trailer park nicknamed “felony pines” and into the upper middle class before 30 by blaming others or blaming my situation. Yes it sucked, yes it set me back, but I didn’t let it break me. Don’t blame your failure on others, accept responsibility and learn from your choices and then you’ll grow and reach success or at least achieve more.

    scenario: A guy (mid 20s) is offered a job giving good salary. But he doesnt want to work there, he wants to be an entrepreneur ( got 0 money with him). And wherever he has worked before he have always quit job in around a month. Well, the case is he have few ideas for business that he wants to do but have never ever worked on those ideas. What, Why, and if u may, How he should do or is there a better way? Do please give your suggestion, its a matter of his whole life. Ty.

    • @alux
      @alux  6 лет назад +26

      Hi Vivek,
      Wanting to be an entrepreneur and actually being one are two different things. Everybody thinks they want to be the boss until hey realize what it actually takes.
      For your situation we recommend getting the job. 9-5 is your work schedule. Take the salary and put everything you don’t need for survival away(ready for investment). After 6 months you should start a side business while still keeping the job. Every evening/night, after you get home from work and in the weekends you should work on the business. You don’t need more than 6h of sleep so you’ve got a lot of time on your hands to make it happen.
      Only quit your job when the side business starts generating at least as much as the job. You might even need to keep working on both for several years.
      Unless you’re able to discipline yourself to keep the job and put money away until the time is right, you have little chance of growing a company as it requires a lot more skills than this.
      Best of luck in your journey! Prove everybody wrong!

      @vivekjunghamal5730 6 лет назад +2

      Alux.com thanks for the suggestion! Haha! nd u knew it was abt me. actually my thought was also similar to what u hav said. there is another thing that is creating issue. The place where the job is in a very remote place. facilities are at their lowest. Minimal transportation, electricity issues, low internet facility.. working on business(targeted customers are of cities area + no resources at all) along with job is very hard. it's a very confusing fight between these two. And I don´t wanna loose any more time.

    • @Emrald79
      @Emrald79 6 лет назад +2

      You already are losing time good sir. You seem to already know what you want to do your only problem is you are focusing to much of your mental energy on urgent but not so important matters. You could of course argue your job is a very important matter, and you would be correct so long as that stays true for you. If the ultimate goal is to build a business and leave that job then the most important thing in your life right now is getting started. The internet is going to be your best friend when it comes to the Who, what, where, when and why. No more excuses, you have the internet and the free time to watch videos and post comments. You already have everything you need to get to work.
