Alex make sure you add 2 cables for a battery tender to the battery posts. O’Reilly has battery terminals with the extra cable hookup. This will make it easier if you are not driving it much to extend the life of the battery

    Great information as usual.

Good video. You can also use a step drill bit ( it looks like an ice cream cone). Just drill a quarter inch pilot hole and then use the step bit to ream it out to the exact size. Just check the diameter of the hole from time-to-time with the disconnect switch.

I had been considering getting a few of those. Gonna have to take another look at that.

Removing the battery looks to be challenging.

I will take a look at that.
Are you having issues with yours? If so please describe. Lots of moving parts in that system. I did a video on replacing the slave, and one on the throw out bearing, and a pretty good one on refurbishment of the pedal box. Any of those could be thd issue.

Check this video at like 6:30
It shows what I think is likely a common issue. Maybe yours too

What was the mileage on your MGB when you started? My 76 B is about to get an engine rebuild with 56K original miles and unknown prior engine use and work. Thanks for your great platform. Jack

Nigel the 1977 mgb has almost 97000 miles on it. The car was heavily modified. Had a 74 head with large valves added, all the emissions removed, and a Webber side draft. It had a blown head gasket, a damaged ring, and two burnt exhaust valves. It sat in a barn for 20 years in that state. Now it will be reborn with more modifications. But it will have a relatively easy life as a weekend cruiser. Looking forward to getting it running again soon.
