    YOU the MAN!!!!! I didn't do this mod cause I had nowhere to get 4 gauge wire with connectors. Use battery cables from Walmart, duh.

    why does this car have a red cable going to the ground? Is the ground actually a positive?

      that’s how I got it.. both cables were black originally. Someone put a red cable on ground

    I installed a kill switch on my bug and for some reason the cables get hot, any idea of why that's happening? Thanks.

      resistance causes heat you have a bad connection.. you need to take one cable off at a time and clean both ends until it stops getting hot.. were the getting hot before the kill switch? you might have a bad switch. Check resistance on the switch

      I found the problem, I had one cable unplugged right behind the fan, so I put it back together and that solved the problem, thanks.. @@chriscraft77022

      Are you connecting it to positive wires? If so, don't.
