Ironically, they used mostly tiny amps here. Which they only seem to do when they know the venue is on point. I can remember being a band and absolutely needing to have a half-stack. I was a bass player though, and it was a metal band so I wanted hear the guitar players telling me to turn it down a notch for once :)
i cannot express with words how much i adore this band and their music. they make me feel all the joy of life, by making loud noise and spreading love. i don't tend to share this band with other people because most people i know don't like this type of music, but they will forever be special to me.
This is one of the most magical live performances I've seen... so familiar, joyful and intimate, and at the same time so masterfully executed from a musical point of view, this moment is something you can call sublime, Im glad they captured it in such quality
Well you're not hearing a feed from the floor, this'll be a mix of all their feeds after the show is done. Of course it still does require a good sound tech to get this kinda quality from each individual instrument.
There is something so special about this performance. The more I listen to/watch it the more I want to see/hear it again. It is just so heart-felt and moving. This band has obviously reached that pinnacle where true magic can happen in performances. I have just ordered 4 of their albums on the basis of watching this, as well as other RUclips offerings: KEXP in Seattle, and other early and excellent performances on the starsandspit RUclips channel. When they first came out, I had just moved to Toronto, deep in depression with no idea who I was anymore or where I was going. You can set your watch to that beat.
Yes Justin Peroff is THE MAN!!! Sooo good, and adds the perfect touch to BSS. No drummer could replace him in BSS, that's for sure. 💯🙌
He's not just some actor, man!

BSS: Yes.
ALL THE GEARS

Finally a properly mixed live show from BSS!!! I am at peace...what a wall of beautiful sound.
sounds almost like na studio album, amazing.
The set from Lollapalooza 2006 is also pretty good. No pro shot video on that though.

Strombo's sound setup is so good. So many live acts sound like trash but he's nailing it... in his basement.
Man, that Lover's Spit though, right in the feelz.
That performance of 1972 was pretty unreal. What a great tune.
i love how my man is just rockin against the wall with his unused guit at 2:30
Strombo you're a treasure. The Canadian John Peel.
I just love Lover's Spit. This song and this band shaped my life and I just realised that they have a lifetime to sing this to each other
Also, I love how Feist serenades Toronto every chance she gets. Peace.
The intro to Cause is why I'm still here.

Lover's spit. OMFG.
