When he taped the instructor's arm, it's an experienced man's notice that the hold is working exactly as it should. It takes a tremendous amount of trust in another's ability to execute such an action and to care about their "crashtest dummy" (not anglophone, I don't have a better way to say it rn) to willingly put yourself in someone's hold like that.
My best friend snuck up and did this to me in middle school when I was walking down the hall. You have no idea what’s happening and then you wake up on the ground.
@mrgen1c318 less than 10 seconds but he had me in this exact chokehold. Just my hands as I had to hit my way free and a face is not soft. I have chronic pain in both hands now over 2 years later. Broke both my thumbs and a pinkie. But I guess that beats being choked unconscious and having brain damage

I was choked for about 8 seconds just like this choke hold, but I didn't get unconscious or really suffered any injury except a sore throat and some chest pain afterwards. However, I was almost to the brink of unconsciousness. I was kind of sceptical and worried about any permanent injury I might've suffered cause of this, but you really cleared it up. Thanks.
@mrgen1c318 yeah that probably was more so playing/ rough housing. My brother was absolutely drugged up and put everything he had into the chokehold trying to pull me to the ground even. It's a crazy chokehold. ESPECIALLY when you don't see it coming. Also, thanks for the words. Having chronic pain in both hands is miserable. I can't even game without being in pain nowadays
Tim you are my hero, and such an inspiration into everything I want to be as a husband and a father. Thank you for being who you are and continuing to put out these videos and trainings! I can't afford to take one of your courses, but I hope to someday! defending my family and the innocent people around me is something I have always tried to do. Carrying weapons and training my mind and my body to deal with potential threats and to be constantly prepared are lessons you have taught me through your videos, podcasts, etc. Keep being who you are and I sincerely hope to meet you in person someday!

My brother did this when he was on drugs. And you are right. In Seconds my sight was going black but I got him off thankfully
