Things I am good at are: - drawing and sketching - native plant salvaging - graphic design I think it is also good to mention that confident people do not think overly positive about themselves like "I am better than everyone else. I have absolutely no flaws whatsoever." They evaluate whether or not they want to change their behaviour or let others have opinions of them. I sometimes get defensive but reminded myself it is normal to feel defensive and figure out why I am getting defensive.
Thanks for the surprise drop with today’s video, Julia! 3 Things Truly Confident People Do Differently Confidence is another favorite topic of mine while doing this inner work. I just recently reflected about my computer/tech skills and I was able to come up with a solution to a problem that I was having. Something that I came up with by myself as I couldn’t find any solutions on the internet. That self-efficacy led me to also think overall of my self-concept, that fair and accurate portrayal of who I am. Sure, I may not also be a techie pro, and that is just okay, but I also find myself at least trying to tackle my obstacles, and now, with a more managed mind. I can remind myself that I am human and that I am learning, growing and healing every day. These overall thoughts as helped me with my overall self-esteem!
Some other notable things I acknowledge I am good at: Art, music, and now, my mind management skills. =)
Here are my notes: *Often, we think confidence is this destination we get to in the future once we have achieved something, acquired something or look like something or have reached a specific goal. That's NOT how it works. *Confidence is a decision. It is deciding to believe in ourselves. To value and think well about ourselves.
3 Self-confidence building tips:
1. Self-efficacy: Your own thoughts about your ability to succeed the things you set out to do. 2. Self-concept: A fair and accurate portrayal of who you are. 3. Self-esteem: Your general thoughts about yourself.
Inspiring Quote: "The only thing that makes confident people special is that they know they don't have to be special before they can be confident." - Unknown.
Thank you for your videos. I just found you today and loving your dot point videos. So helpful. I am a Grandmother, ok at arts and crafts, love walking my dog in nature. Love peace and tranquility. I put myself through uni in my 50’s. Write poetry and short stories. However dealing with people is a challenge. ✨
Great video! I am good at making custom sports cards, woodworking, writing poetry, a skilled machinist and have made great financial decisions. I struggle with my self esteem and confidence at times because I don’t get as much feedback as I’d like from others, plus I have a hard time finding the right connections to share or sell my creations. This is what gets me down the most, a sense of always being overlooked or forgotten.
At one time I was good at everything I tried with the exception of musical talents which has always eluded me. Now I have nothing I am good at. I barely rate a C-.
