  • Clearing more brush and grading with the dozer at the basement job. The homeowners asked me to clear the rest of the small trees and under brush on the property. They want to open the area up more to get a better view of the creek behind their house. I didn't haul anymore off just piled it up. Then I worked on cutting down the grade on the north end of the house where the future pool is going. I also got another load of rock to extend the temporary drive to the basement. Thanks for watching! #EliteEarthworks #Takeuchi #LandClearing

    That turned out nice. I finally got some time to work at my own farm today. I was taking down 8-12" pines to make a circle drive around my shop with a place in the rear to park my trailers and such. You are correct about getting monotonous grubbing trees up. I thought I would never get everything down so I could get off the excavator and get onto the skidsteer just to change things up. I think my ADHD was about to get the best of me. Lol. You have definitely transformed that lot. Keep up the good work buddy.

Neighbors will be glad when ALL is done and they end up with a COMPLETED Cul-de-sac! Thank you!

    Got a laugh out of the typical "Oh, just move it a couple feet" that it seems happens more and more. Next maybe it'll be "just rotate the lot 90 degrees" After all, it'll only take a minute or two, right? Hilarious. We've been wondering if there was a river back of the property. We were kind of surprised they wanted all the trees gone back there - I would have thought they'd want some left to help hold the bank in place a bit - like the neighbor did.

      I had to laugh too 🤣 I was like you really moved it after I dug it? But luckily it still fit good thing for the over dig. They are at least keeping the bigger trees but you’re right it definitely helps hold the hill. Thanks again for watching guys

    Looks good. I like how you just kind of mentioned they staked it off and "decided to move the house a couple of feet". I reckon since you were there that worked out for you but if you would have been in Oklahoma then it may have been a little bit more of a logistics and scheduling problem. Anyway you did what you had to do and squared it away. Still not too sure what hope I hold out for the over the hill area. Looks like a big creek bed with just the little creek with water in it. But after a lot of seasonal rain I'd be curious what happens.

      Thank you! Yeah glad I was there for sure. Could have been real annoying. I’d like to gradually slope that hill cause the city won’t let them add any more to the bottom but it would be nice if it was more gradual slope I think

    It's almost hard to remember just a couple years ago you were renting some of this equipment.
    btw, haven't seen much of that new pickup truck lately.

      That is true. I haven’t drove it much I’m different a fuel tank for it that doesn’t stick up as much but it doesn’t ship until the end of April so I drive the duramax on most days to fuel equipment up lol

    Do you make the general contractor hire a surveyor to layout your work and check your grades? Like with the basement depths and corners and fall from the top of slab/foundation, etc. How do you shoot that?

    • @eliteearthworksllc
      @eliteearthworksllc  10 месяцев назад +1

      He usually hires a surveyor to pin the corners of the house in after the hole is. Me and him meet to figure out the elevations on the walls and finish floor height of the houses

    Question :will the dozer run any faster in reverse to increase cycle times between pushes?

      It will I just need to hit the button to speed it up. I think I was eating my lunch so I eat between pushes lol
