I am looking for a 4-blade pull screw. The engine works well, is quiet and burns little. I have a little bit too heavy for him. Good luck .
Hello great video. So extra weight in the rear. Add a longer gas hose and move your. Two gas tanks up front. Away from the battery box. Maybe ? Also a trolling motor and large battery will add weight in front for sure.
How’s fast does your boat go with you in it by yourself , and when you have 2 people with you. And when you had 3 people with you? And could you get on plane with 1-3 people with your set up?
Stock Prop is a 8.5", you also have a choice of 7.5 and 6.5. I run the 6.5 when fishing for slow trolling speed. And it can bring the full boat on plane way more easy than with the 8.5". Idle speed should be 900-950. Any lower than 900 and it will random die on you.
I bought a brand new 9.9 Mercury but there was oil leak in the box. is that normal? why it can happen? I guess it happened in the shipment and happened because of wrong carrieage.
Tohatsu is the company that makes this motor, so buy it instead of the merc. You’ll save a couple hundred bucks by not having ‘Mercury’ printed on it. I’ve got one and it’s been a dream.
The 9.9 Merc 4 cycles have an accelerator pump, and each twist of the throttle floods the engine with a shot of gasoline. Don't flood the engine, with or without the engine running.
Would’ve been nice to see battery hook up and to where cables go inside the housing. Also a little hint when putting in oil at antifreeze or anything with a spout not in the middle. Hold with spout on top (not the bottom) that way when you pour it does not “glug” and instead makes a nice easy steady stream right from the beginning. Seems like the unnatural way but the first time you do it you will laugh at yourself and you’ve been doing it wrong all this time.

built by tohatsu in japan with mercury decals cost $1000 more over here in aus than the tohatsu that makes them mercury stickers $500 a peice

My tohatsu is silver and badged Nissan. Costs more cause of premium branding they say. Same as the Merc.
