If you are a trading card game veteran, you know what this means, and yes, it is every bit as awesome as you think it would be.
If you haven’t played trading card games before, you are in for a real treat. Sealed and draft are incredibly fun! Unfortunately, with trading card games, they are also incredibly expensive ($10-$30 every time you play).
But with Epic, you get the fun without that scary price tag. A single $15 box of Epic allows up to four people to play draft or sealed again and again with great game play every single time.
With sealed, draft, and preconstructed decks, up to four players can play out of a single copy of the game. There is another way to play, called “constructed,” where each player needs their own copy of the game. In constructed, you build a deck at home using your entire Epic card collection to play against a friend who did the same thing.
While Epic gives you the full trading card game experience at a tiny fraction of the cost, Epic is NOT a trading card game. There are no random packs or hard-to-get cards. When you buy the game, you get everything you need to play. You know exactly what cards you’re getting. There will be expansions down the road, but they are optional. You can literally play and enjoy hundreds of games with just the base set.

Hard to believe seeing Epic content nowadays. I have been playing this game for 1-2 years and find it so difficult to find new players, mainly language barrier and the confused turn structure. Keep it up the Epic content. Really appreciate the effort you put into this video.

Thanks for the comment! I used their website card list to show detailed pics of the cards. We don't play MTG either mainly because of the cost. Epic card game gave us the same play style just cheaper and easier to grasp. Epic duels is a great start for sure, gives you the decks to start and life counters and gold trackers to make it easy. We enjoy the game, one of our favourites!
Hi! Duals is the best way to start playing Epic. It has a quick start guide that walks two players through a scripted tutorial game. You will pick it up in no time.
It's a shame that Epic isn't talked about and publicized as much. It's a formidable game. In the universe of games in general, so many emerged and served as a source of inspiration for others, and life went on. But with Magic The Gathering, it seems that people don't accept that a lot of good (and even better) things came next. I think that people spend so much money on MtG, there are so many things that involve the game, such as status, metagame, financial investment, parallel economy, that in the end these people don't have the courage or can't just move on, they can't admitting that MtG is more about sort of emotional dependency and stuff like that, rather than actually enjoying playing it.
Epic, Netrunner, Mindbug, Keyforge and many others are very fun and healthier games.

We had that thought exactly, though we are aware of mtgs popularity, we wanted to showcase a game that is similar in gameplay but much lighter on the wallet. Kristina and I wanted to show our viewers games that are just as deep in strategy but still a ton of fun to play!
