This is insidious. Jeanie decided that after the Westbrook debacle, she would no longer actively attempt to build a championship team around LeBron and AD.
We now know the rumors about LeBron joining the Warriors mid-season last year were true. Jeanie knew momentum to pair LeBron and Steph LeBron would only grow after they played together for Team USA. Jeanie has faced a fair amount of criticism for not doing enough to provide the coaching and rosters needed to build a contender. So she finds a way to weaponize her womanhood and releases statements like this to make it seem she's doing all she can to foster a positive relationship with LeBron and position him to compete for another title.
The reality is, Jeanie and Kobe's former agent, Rob Pelinka, are actively working to protect Kobe's legacy by sabotaging the LeBron era by adding the least experienced coaches they can find and by building a roster full of 1-way players who get played off the court during the playoffs. Whether it's Kobe fans, Jeanie, or Rob, none of them want to see LeBron tie Kobe with a 5th ring while wearing purple and gold. LeBron should have accepted the inevitable backlash and got Golden State to draft Bronny and then signed a deal to join Golden State this off-season. When he finally retires, LeBron will regret remaining with the Lakers for so long. He should've left 2 years ago.
