Your 'Carnivore Insomnia' video made me realize I wasn't fat adapted yet and made me look at my macros. Today I slept 8 hours for the first time in two weeks. Seriously, Thank You so much!
I truly believe that is the best explanation of Fat Adapted that gave me the knowledge that I'm finally understanding how it works!!!!!!! What a GREAT video!!!!!!! May our God continue to bless both you and Tyler!!!
This makes so much sense. Im just now starting to get fat adapted. Lost my pops to cancer last August and I immediately started changing my diet to Keto, then Ketovore, eventually Carnivore. But I never thought my high Cortisol levels would be sabotaging my progress.
I get beef body fat from my butcher for free, I cube it, slightly salt it and freeze it. This requires a leap of faith, but I chew it (raw), like gum in the evening before I go to bed 😴.
I have been Carnivore since Sept. 19, 2021 and still majorly struggle with sleep. Many nights my body won't let me sleep til after 1am or even 3 or 4am. I do not handle rendered fat well. I don't like ghee or suet. Butter is ok. I have had major fatigue for years. Last I checked the full thyroid panel Dr. B suggests, my levels are fine. I eat 5 or less carbs a day. It appears my body just refuses to become fat adapted as I do not lose weight. What will flip the switch?
How do you add more dietary fat when it makes you nauseous? I can tolerate butter but suet makes me nauseous. What other suggestions are there? I am definitely on the lower stored fat side and this makes so much sense that I’m not fat adapted. My body has struggled to only burn fat. Thanks!!
Maybe I just need to watch about 3 more times, but how do you know when your (obese) body has "taken" it and is ready to use it's own fat stores? I sleep well some nights, and some nights I feel about half awake. These are mega stressful times for a lot of reasons for everyone even without a breakup, a loss, etc... because the freakin' world has gone nuts. I don't think I can wait until a good time, because for me, I don't think there is one. I'm 3 months in to carnivore, and I've finally started adding more fat than I think I needed to have enough energy to function and it helps most days, but it seems to have made deep sleep worse? Per my budget glucometer, my FBS (112 - 125) is higher than my bedtime BS (94 avg). I've lost about 15 lbs since Jan, but I'm mainly wanting to stabilize BS and feel better, though I'm probably about 65-70 lbs higher than my ideal weight. I'm almost never hungry, and when I am, I fill up really fast. I struggle to eat enough. This isn't as easy for everyone as it seems to be for most. Lol. I love the way you teach. I almost fell for the lower-your-protein down to 60 gm because higher protein meals makes me soooo sleepy, but because I heard you teach about it and it didn't sit right with me anyway at 61 yrs old, I'm not going to do it.

Check out my carnivore insomnia video 💖
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hi Rebeka. Where I live is very difficult to find fatty meat. I mostly find grass fed red meat not fatty. Is this going to be a problem long term?
Potentially, as fat is our fuel source when not consuming carbohydrates. You could add fat with butter, ghee, fat trimming or suet!

Thanks!!
I will be posting a new video on my favorite fat sources which goes into this. Raw suet was the easiest for me to digest 💖

It sounds like you would benefit from coaching and troubleshooting. Feel free to email me if you're interested in that!
How can I go carnivorou on a budget, I'm 67 and a pensioner 😊❤
@bonnieventura556 Dr Ken Berry has several great videos on affordable carnivore. ❤
If someone with liverfat and high liver enzyme can eat dietary fat for guide?
When you cut out sugar, dietary saturated fat will work in your favor.
