I just love blankets! I feel like it’s my comfort project for many reasons. There’s just something about creating something so warm and snuggly. I know what you mean about putting projects down for a bit. Sometimes they hide for awhile till I feel like doing it again.

Hi Anja, I love all your blankets, because of you i started a granny cluster blanket and i love it!, it's my first blanket that i have made and it's going great.I knitted a king-size one years ago but now i am doing a crochet one..it's only 33 rows so far but in time i hope it will fit the bed. Anja your video’s are so fun to watch, your a natural, I love love love your blankets, especially the one for your daughter. I am working on a scrap blanket, a dear friend mail me two boxes of her leftovers she even took the time to wind them in cakes and each one is in a ziplock bag, I am having so much fun with it, its a ripple and I just crochet until that yarn is gone and start the next color. Well i be wanting to do them all that first one the blue one is stunning love the way you did that the edging is so sweet good idea my favorite one so far the rippling wave i calls it nice big blanket it must have taken you awhile to make that one oh my goodness now i feel lazy i have lots of wool i should be making blankets look at that one squares blue one gorgeous gorgeous

So nice to hear that you and your mom have the same hobby. My mother died in 1994, but I still miss the days that we knitted together and she always finished my projects I got tired of. These days I don't knit anymore, but I am hooked on crochet.💞

We call a cowl, crocheted yarn that is shaped in a circle or v-shaped around your neck. It's a shorter variation of the scarf. You blankets are beautiful tho! I really enjoy your channel.

Your blankets are all sooo beautiful. Great job! I'm impressed. I'm making the Charlotte's Dream right now (only 1.5 squares left to do - yay!) but I've never bought a wool pack. I would love to, because of what you said - the creator did put a lot of thought on colors etc and I appreciate that. I just cannot afford them. Those wool packs are usually upwards of $/€ 100 and I simply cannot afford that.
Ah, yes, the wool packs, you see the stylecraft special DK wool packs are under £30 here in the UK, and those are what I buy, I don't want to pay more tbh, or also I cannot justify more .... so that does help!! Thanks for your comment, I really appreciate it! Keep watching xxx

Anja I totally love your channel! It's so inspirational and I adore your natural enthusiasm. It really echoes with where I'm at as I started crochet last year and am still in the "wild eyed" stage as I absorb everything in. I spent most of my life in Exeter so have many friends in Exmouth, even though I now live in the Forest of Dean. Keep up the great videos, I love them, thanks. PS. After watching this lovely video , I realize how much I love your moorland blanket . I immediately went to attic wool site to purchase 2 packs and with great dismay, I learn they are not delivering to Canada:( . I will have to somehow try to find same likenesses of colours .. thank you for sharing your great projects .

I make Shaw's Adam Jones add a cow and only thing I add is a Bunton or arm sleeves.
I also really enjoyed seeing all your blankets and hearing you talk about each one of them. They are all so beautiful. What are the demensions if your granny stripe blanket that you said you put on your bed? I have been making a blanket very similar to yours, and found that I made it too big so would be a good candidate to put on the bed.

A CAL is a Crochet A Long where designers release patterns every week and you crochet along with them every week, and in the end you have a blanket!! Thanks for watching!

Hi Ophelia, love your podcasts. I just wanted to ask I’ve made granny square blankets but we find they re not very warm due to the holes the clusters create. What are your thoughts? I use acrylic yarn with a 4.5 mm hook. Thanks, Poppy.
try a smaller hook, my holes are not very big and my blankets are really warm! I use 3.5! good luck!!

I'm working on a scrap blanket with 2 yarn strands at one time. If I make a border with one strand will it look silly??
You will have to make allowances for the decrease in stitch size, obviously 2 strands together will be thicker than one!!
