@@thenorthlondonbusguy I went back to Loughton, the clock in the ticket hall has the same face but it has different hands and doesn't have any maker written on it... I guess it's a replica, but it's a beauty!
Thanks for going to the trouble of filming this. I went in my wheelchair and filmed just the entrance since I’ll never get to try the escalators or the stairs or get to the platforms. TfL could have opted for Japanese Mitsubishi wheelchair escalators which allow wheelchairs to use escalators where it is not possible to install lifts. They could also have installed a wheelchair accessible lift at one end of the platforms allowing people to get in and access both platforms - but this is London. In a wheelchair without assistance, it is not possible for a person in a wheelchair to make a single journey anywhere in the London Borough of Camden. Kentish Town is in the heart of the Prime Minister’s constituency and the only planned station upgrade in the borough is West End Lane so that’s not going to change. I notice from your video that while the steps have yellow edging to make them visible to low vision passengers, the escalator steps don’t. Clearly the needs of people with disabilities are not a priority to TfL unless they are disabled stair climbers. Civilized governments subsidise accessibility upgrades. The European Social Fund supplements those investments in EU countries. But this is one of the richest boroughs in what we are repeatedly told is the fifth or sixth richest country in the world but not in the EU and the government is constantly finding news ways to reduce spending on the disadvantaged so the disabled will just have to continue living with the situation.
So much missed opportunity. Like why did you close this and south ken for many months / more than a year, just for the maintenance ? No accessibility improvements and barely any refurbishment of the actual station.
Agreed! But they did have to close Kentish Town to replace the escalators, which were in a horrible state beforehand (they were deemed as the worst on the network by TfL)
@@thenorthlondonbusguy at least tfl did a really amazing job to colindale even tho the refurbishment work isnt finished yet, even better is that they are adding lifts
Yep! It’s not allocated to the 134! That specific bus is from the 107 allocation. The 263 is allocated Mark 1 G3s and EvoSetis. The 107 allocated Mark 2 G3s. This is a Mark 2 G3, so it’s from the 107 allocation.
Was hoping someone would make a video on the reopening. Thanks for being the only person on RUclips to do so!
Thank you!
never knew i would be the *ONLY* one to post a vid on this 😆
@@thenorthlondonbusguy Nice Vid?
Thanks, I guess?
I was there earlier filming today lol, good thing you came here today
Thanks!
it really was a good thing to go out on reopening day
Yw and I agree.
the tiling work on the platforms had a little bit of a step down.
agreed
but they will add roundels in the foreseeable future
0:52 to be fair though not many people want to watch you going down 113 steps. But nice video anyways
That’s why I sped the goddamn section up (and put a funny caption).
Thanks anyways.
Is the clock in the ticket hall the same as the beautiful clock in Loughton ticket hall?
The heritage clock (albeit quite similarly designed to the one at Kentish Town) are at Loughton, but on the platforms.

You’re welcome!
I honestly do agree with you, but TfL can’t do that as the UK is not in the EU.
Who knows, they might be back in the EU some day…

That's looks like no upgrades indeed even closed for months.....still look so run down
Yeah…
It was closed for 1 and a half years and it looks like nothing happened
"so" jokes aside good video though
😆
Thanks!
