I would never have guessed that I would be so fascinated by rail transport systems until I watched by accident a Geoff Marshall video some months ago.... Thanks Geoff, you make it so interesting..Thanks !!
Today has been 20 years since Geoff attempted the all the underground stations back in 2002 which started today 17/5/2002-17/5/2022. Can’t believe the time and how fast it’s gone by. Great work Geoff keep up the hard work!
What an improvement. Bank Station in the rush hour was hell on earth. I remember one incident in the mid 1970s when the crush in the main circulation area was so bad that I was lifted off my feet. I could not move an inch! Fortunately the crush weakened after a minute or so and my feet touched the ground. I realise now how helpless human beings are in crush situations.

I refuse to be put on the map a day early lol But with the puns and jokes aside love the work that has has gone in to open the new platform at Bank, awesome video Geoff.

Really enjoyed the video Geoff. I rarely use Bank Station but due to mobility issues I found it a nightmare to use when I did. Hopefully, for those who have difficulty with moving, this type of problem will have been eradicated. Looking forward to your Crossrail video.
I don't think the accessibility problems are eradicated yet... ...but those blocked off areas, for the later stages of the upgrade, and the new entrance (that is not open yet) will hopefully create accessibility for all lines.
Yep i saw this yesterday. I was so excited. I was so happy to see this. I had to go to Euston and change at King's Cross St Pancras and then onto Moorgate. And then the Northern line was running to Bank. It was so good to see. It won't be so quiet now. The new station is massive and now there's 8 days until the Elizabeth line opening. It's a wonderful month for transport.
Geof though I was subscribed to your channel. Found out I wasn’t. Am now. Like the fact that all the underground stock uses dynamic brakes instead of friction brakes. Sounds cool too. Increase speed and the frequency increases. Reduce speed and the frequency decreases. Love that.

YAY! I've enjoyed my walks over London Bridge the past 16 odd weeks but haven't enjoyed dealing with people who don't seem to know how to navigate a bridge. Lovely light hearted video too, Geoff. Looking forward to my first commute tomorrow!
Wow, all i remember from Bank station (from many, many years ago) was an escalator that seemed like it was a mile long, and the steps were made of wood. Now it is going to be wonderful. Thank you for the tour and preview.
I remember lots of wooden escalators on the Underground, but they all had the wooden sides quickly replaced with metal sides and then there was a rolling program to rip them out one-by-one.
