I think you've described it best, listening to Stove live is indeed like a spiritual experience. I loved it on first listen. It's such a comforting song, like a warm blanket wrapped around you on a cold and stormy night. While I do very much enjoy Lucy's fun and upbeat tracks, I have a soft spot for their more intimate and somber songs. Farther and Farther, the other song included in their Snooze album, is another one of my favorites from them and has a similar vibe to Stove.
hearing you describe how you felt about live music when you were younger is exactly me 😂 "studio is the best possible version? why do I want the less perfect sound?"... I was so naive. Sangyeop and Gwangil (drummer) have really spectacular live vocals, they both hit very differently, but resonate so strong!

Hearing you talk about concerts and live music makes me curious to see what you would think of their song Flare. It's my personal favorite and one of the reasons I became such a big fan of theirs. Gwangil (drummer) wrote and sang vocal on a b-side from their album Panorama. It's called Enough and there's a live clip on their yt. Also Wonsang (bass) plays a double bass. it's a lovely lazy sunday type of song idk. just healing. Check it out sometime!

I've seen this performance a few times and have listened to the song God knows how many times and it still gives me chills. Also, I totally agree with what you said about live performances! I miss going to concerts so much!!! Not sure if you're a blink-182 fan, but I've seen them in concert three times 😅 (Best concert I've ever been to though was The Who...they might be in their 70s but they still kick ass!)
I was supposed to see Blink and Bamboozle in 2012 but they left the lineup last minute. Though they were replaced by MCR, which until they came back recently was their last show ever
Lucy's b-sides are particularly amazing, sometimes hit me more than the title tracks. Flare, Straight Line, Stove... etc and even their non-vocal instrumental music Intro and Outro are fabulous.
