6:44 moments where she shows her uncomparable, unbelievable articulation at such speed. We love you, Yujaa
The clarity of her articulation is out of this world!! I had to pause when I listened to her Beethoven piano concerti because it was just too much to take, you know, in awe and all that.....
My wife and I and many friends from all over the world were there. It was the final concert of the Verbier Festival and the Highlight of the Festival.
She played Prokofieff 3 AND 5 ....the day before they needed two pianists for Prokofieff 1 and 2.
Her stamina is incompearable.
But even more "impressive" is her deeply emotional playing. Especially in the 4th. movement there are many "goosebumps"- moments, in my opinion one of the most touching moments in music is at min.14.....
I love the conductor and the composition..... Yuja and the orchestra are out of this world!
This piece is a monster, and she ate it up! I love the way she pounded the keyboard with her fists on the last notes.
There are people who don't know that Prokofiev wrote 5 piano concerti....!! This has been one of my favorites for a long time!
As with much of Prokofiev, I love this piece when it is played as expertly as here. It sounds terrible when not performed to a high level. I firmly believe that Yuja is the greatest Prokofiev interpreter the world has seen so far.
To be fair I only discovered this piece earlier this year.. and I think it stands with No.2 as his two best concerti. Sadly, his No.1 and no.3 are the most popular probably because they’re easier on the ear tonally
The larghetto in this piece is one of my absolute favorite pieces of music.
Yuja me fascina....es mágica, con una técnica insuperable....muchacha bella y simpática. Es un ángel....nuestro ángel. ❤❤
Every dress she wears turns into the most beautiful dress in the world, she is a KNOCK-OUT and her Piano playing is the best. These young folks in this Orchestra are fantastic, sound like old seasoned pros~USA
the opening of the 4th movement is incredibly moving, she plays it really well
There is noting I like more than Prokofiev and Yuja Wang
…and she has said she particularly likes Prokofiev.
Fantastic concerto. Perhaps 100 years ahead of its time. But the more I hear this piece, the more impressed I am.
Loved it. The total commitment and passion she exudes is no more or less than we always get from Yuja.
I can tell there was great synchronization between the piano and the orchestra. Yuja appears lovely and elegant.
I forgot to say how amazingly Wang plays it! Wow is all I can say!

What a cool sounding piece
Yuja wang了得
This piece always makes modern orchestras sound arthritic!
Thanks for shearing Peter Chen🙏🏼🤗❤️
Superb. Thank you.
14:00 that is gut retching the amount of pain you can feel emanating from it is horrific in the best way possible.
Possibly a minor infarction of some sort.
Браво оркестр, дирижор и ЮЯ!
跌宕起伏,逸趣橫生。
La Maestra holds her own against this savage difficult piece.....going up against Richter, I mean.....but....Hey.....BRAVA from Acapulco!
She is the best pianist in the world as of today.
@@beckerhanshermann8372 Congrats Becker!, You've written one of the dumbest statements in RUclips history. Marvelous job!
@@beckerhanshermann8372 if you don't count Rach and Prok concertos as real masterpieces then the rest of your opinion can be ignored
@@Jamthecoolerator Oh, he has written dumber ones...
@@beckerhanshermann8372 If that did not come from a musically ignorant sexist/racist Nazi like you Hans./Max/Karin, that might have been funny. Inanities sort of describe everything you post compulsively against Yuja; do you care about anything else, beyond that and your unrequited lust for Trifnov?
@@beckerhanshermann8372 I knew classical fans were pretentious but this is just next level
Yuja Wang est la plus Grande à present, techniquement et musicalement, hommes et hommes confondus - il n'y a plus lieu de preciser désormais. 🤩😍🤩😍 Quel régal !
Nice 22:16
Брависсимо
Did she just slap a bunch of low keys at the beginning?
The score says col pugno, which means banging the piano with the fist

Ah! Richter !
Ah! Yuja!
Although Juya Wang is _a fantastic pianist,_ arguably the best pianist in the world today, this performance is off!
It is not her fault. The sound technicians have messed up!
The balance between the piano and the orchestra is wrong!
The piano is too loud/orchestra too soft.
The result is, that the full beauty of this entire piano concerto has not been done full justice!
Maybe the conductor is also to blame for this!
Although not professional, I've had a substantial amount of experience in audio engineering. And I also play 'classical' piano, so can listen with a trained ear. For me, the balances are excellent. Although I haven't looked at the audio waveform, there appears to be little or no compression. Actually, it's likely there's going to be a limited amount of compression otherwise differences between very soft and very loud would leave some sections unheard. What are you watching on? A phone, an iPad, a Device? It is very likely you can experience difficulties, such as you describe, with the device unable to properly deliver the range of audio levels. I think few people would describe this work as 'beautiful'. In summation, if anything is off, it resides at your feet.
@@bryangl1 It might be my ears.
Mit lauten Puepsen spielt so noch besser!!🥴🤩🤮👏👻
