- WATCH IN HD! Campus tour of the University of California Berkeley. I don’t know what it is about this university but I would say it’s probably my favorite campus I’ve been to so far. Love the terrain, natural beauty with all the different trees, historic buildings, and the fact that it overlooks the San Francisco Bay. I really like the different views of Sather Tower all throughout campus. It has always been a dream of mine to study here. Very inspiring campus with plenty of character. One of the best engineering schools in the world, among many other things. I was hoping for nice sunny day but unfortunately it was cloudy with showers. But when I think of Berkeley cloudy weather comes to mind so it was only fitting.

Got my rejection letter from UCLA 2 days ago so I was super bummed but woke up to an acceptance letter from Berkeley this morning. I'm so fucking happy rn.

1968 grad here. Still in awe of the place. Walk upstairs for a break from studying in LeConte Hall study area.....five physics noble winners offices within a few steps. Had a noble winner, Melvin Calvin, for organic chemistry!
Even on a rainy day, the campus is still beautiful.
Grew up in East Oakland and spent some time on campus as a teenager (was even in the Young Musicians Program a couple of years) so, even though I eventually attended UC Davis and then the University of Arizona (Bear Down!), seeing these pics of Cal - especially during a typical rainy day probably in July in Berkeley...makes me feel like I'm back home. (And my brother is a proud Cal Bear alum.)

wow, I had no idea how gorgeous Berkeley is untill I saw this video. Definitely the best campus I've seen.
Look at their video on UCLA. Sorry but I think UCLA is hands down the better campus.
UCLA is ugly brick and looks incredibly artificial. Nothing like a uni.
I go to Berkeley, however, I have to give the best campus to either chapel Hill or univ of washington

That weather is authentic. The nicest campus I've ever seen was probably Oxford. And in the states I'd pick Princeton.

It's possibly the most manicured campus it sometimes feels artificial. I love this place. Only real place i consider home. Hogwarts kinda haha
Look up phenac city ost. Used to play that walking around campus to get from one end to another.

Professor Angela Davis was my guide through African stewardship. liberty seemed to relish from the worlds of scholars who made life make sense. Someday I will speak boldly of your proficiency .

人真正高看或景仰的是别人的了不起作为，了不起的建筑当然是其一，就大学来说，如果教学质量与科研都不咋地，则不管建筑多么棒，就难以令世人敬佩。
建筑挺好，其余不咋地。
华人要总是了解洋人的了不起之处并千方百计实现赶超。
我想到国旗，为啥有些国家的国旗能让全世界的人高看？因为该国旗所代表的国家强大，全世界这么多国家，如果不了解情况，则国旗都差不多，都挺干净的、漂亮的，难看不代表国力差，了解国力之后对难看的国旗会改变看法，比如日本国旗、德国国旗，也会对弱小国家的国旗改变看法或感受，因为看上去挺牛逼的国旗所代表的国家积贫积弱。
二战时意大利法西斯头子墨索里尼曾说：国旗就是悬挂在一根棍（木棍或铁棍）上面的一块破布。

Eh, I prefer UCLA's campus because it's a lot brighter, better laid out, and cleaner. Though I love Berkeley's view of the bay.

UCLA campus is better
Better at looking like a business park instead of an academic university, yes. The brick buildings at UCLA are hideous and not how a university should look. Berkeley looks like a real academic institution.

William Zavlaris Exactly. Berkeley's architecture is classic and artful. It's also very symbolic as it calls back to the ancient Greek academies, and helps signal that Berkeley is the place of learning in the west. UCLAs only architecturally interesting buildings are Royce and Powell Halls. The rest of the campus is ugly and monotonous brick, blocky buildings.
The campus doesn't look that great compare to UCLA or Stanford
That place is gold plated turd, you'll understand, later. It's OK to admit mistakes, real easy when you were younger. College is big business, your the customer, always remember that. Always remember the amendment about free speech. Good advertisement though, lots of gold.
