Berkeley truly has grade deflation. Bio has the worst on average, at B- but I once had an Econ professor that curved to C+. Also, there are 35,000+ students but only one gym. Also also, there is no housing post-freshman unless you can afford to pay $2,000 for a shoebox. Also also also, there is a lot of crime.
I'm debating between UC Davis and UC Berkeley. I really want to go to Berkeley because it's a prestigious school and the political science major is good. I'm scared about the housing problem and not getting opportunities relating to law. Therefore, please help me!
Dude - if u can’t handle stress & competition Berkeley isn’t for you. It can be a meat grinder but if you graduate - well - a lot of doors will open up for you.
I personally didn't take 61A, but I took CS 88 which satisfies the programming part of the data science minor! A lot of freshmen taken 61A and it is quite challenging, but if you put in the work I think you'll be good! It also helps if you have prior programming experience but it's not necessary
@@lillianzhang_ thank you! Yeah, my older sister had a difficult time in 61A, so I wanted to see if it is worth it since I don’t have a lot of programming experience (but I’m planning on teaching myself this summer).
I didn’t personally take it but I know for a fact it is a “weeder class” : a large percentage end up dropping it within weeks because they didn’t like it. If you love CS, I recommend taking it but if you are completely new to it, you are better of taking an easier intro class, such as CS10.
The parking spots for NLs really make you cringe when you see all the 20+ year old cars and then across the street you'll see a no degree construction worker pull up in a $80k ford raptor. The Ls taken are overwhelming

Lots of Info!! Thank you!! 🌞 🌴
UC Berkeley L&S CS or UCLA CS? Which one would you choose?
UCLA
Great video for admitted students. Where did you get the sweatshirt that you are wearing?
The off campus cal store on Bancroft!
How difficult would you say CS61A is? I will be a freshman this fall, and I’m looking into having a minor in data science!

the NLs don't need to care about their appearances when they have a nobel prize 😂
I like economics
