      Agreed. Regardless of what they say or what excuses they have, it is a big deal when an engine burns oil. There's lots of new high tech high stress engines that don't burn oil.

    Our oil issues have passed after 12000 miles. We put the catch can to protect the intake manifold so in my opinion it’s a must. Look at it like a two stroke;)

    When I bought my new 2021 7 months ago they found me what I wanted but there was no only one in Canada with the options I wanted and it was 9 hours away in a different province. When I traded in my 17 f150, they ended up giving me a really good chunk of change for it so I made out really good on the whole deal

  • @Austin-iq7ds

    It is Sync 4. In 3 other 2018 and up vehicles we have, CarPlay has 0 issues. It connects every time, doesn’t randomly disconnect, doesn’t skip, etc. Sync has always been buggy. This is the best rendition of it though

    • @brewcrewfishing
      @brewcrewfishing 2 года назад

      I was gonna say the same thing. Sync3 has zero probs w AndriodAuto.

    • @BackroadDriver
      @BackroadDriver  2 года назад +1

      The issues people are having are all over the place. Using the same phone on Android Auto, I had issues receiving phone calls on a 2015 F-150 that I converted to sync 3. It also has the same issue on Brad's truck which is a 2018. The problem went away on my new 21. All I'm saying is that there are so many variables It's often hard to pinpoint the actual issue. There are tons of different phones on different versions of software and settings on those devices that people can change. Not as many versions with Apple products but still tons of devices and the software is different depending on updates and such.

    Don’t have to worry about the cylinder deactivation if you order a new truck. It’s an option now that doesn’t cost anything. X52 is the option.

  • @AB-coyote
    @AB-coyote 2 года назад +1

    Haven’t heard of wide spread oil consumption with coyotes with the exception of the 18 models in trucks and cars. The recall seems to have worked for the trucks though.
    My 17 Gen2 is VMP boosted and it uses maybe 8oz in 3,000 miles.
    Ford didn’t really fix any of the cylinder deactivation issues that GM had because it’s a very different setup being a OHC vs Pushrod engine so like y’all said time will tell. Honda has used cylinder deactivation on their 3.5 And they have had oil consumption issues. When you are dragging cylinders around running at different temps than the ones firing the chance of oil consumption is significantly higher so it makes sense that the Gen 4 truck coyote will use some oil.

    Is Ford doing over air updates. My Chrysler 300C received an over air updated which crashed my UConnect infotainment system that had my car parked at my dealership for 30 days. After my new system was installed. The android auto does connect when I start my car. My current issue is my phone shifts from the car speaker back to the phone and then back to my car. It's my phone. I know Ford and Chrysler uses different systems, but they both have issues. The more technology. The more possible issues. My wife's android auto in her 2017 Ford Edge Sport was working perfectly then a few days ago it stopped. connecting to Android Auto. I haven't had a chance to check her system, but I'm guessing it's had something to do with a recent dealer visit update and her phone. Great information I like that you talk about some of the rediculious items people talk about on UTube. Looking forward to your next video.

      They are -12. The factory offset is -44. This will push the wheels out about an inch and a half. I'm running 305-55-20 ridge grapplers and I don't have any rubbing issues. I had Epic Designs tint them for me. They are in Karns. They used the mid tint color. It ended up being a little too dark to go over the headlights. I'm pretty handy with an exacto knife and to remove a section you just score a line without cutting all the way through. It tears away cleanly and leaves a nice sharp line. If you're just trying to tent part of the headlight I would say it's fairly easy to do yourself. Trying to wrap around all the edges nice and clean is pretty hard that's why I had the pros do it. All this info is great to know and the purchase road blocks and chip and magnesium shortage is unfortunately very real. Aluminum is gonna be a real shortage. I ordered a fully loaded lariat then decided to spend the money and order a over the top platinum in February. I buy alot thru my dealer and developed a friendship there that makes the buying process 20 to 30 min max and if I want the done at my house to satisfy the wife we do it there 10 minutesflat.. When I ordered it was a 6 to 8 week time frame then came the chips problem. I understood so didn't bug til September to atleast give me an approximate doa when the manager who I only deal with got covid and my salesman who just handles paperwork died the following week. So beginning October i looked for options. Then ford sends me a hugh discount from Ford for bland loyalty and an a limited time $1000 to finance thru ford. Then out of the blue the first truck finally came in. Sales Mgr forgot to canceled it when I changed to platinum. He said u want to wait but I don't think the platinum is gonna be uilt with all the chips needed for all the accessories u ordered so I took the lariat with the 5.0.. What a great great truck that rides like a Lincoln Town car. Love it but wished I'd have gotten the platinum still, but a bird in the hand is worth a platinum in the bush. Especially for the price I negotiated on the lariat.Today I could make $5,00 on that Truck td but won't sell it til smoke clears and I can order the platinum. And that will probably be a long time.

      To measure the actual lift or level that you get you would need to measure it before and after. I did and I gained two and a half inches with the Falcon shocks/ leveling kit that I installed. I installed the kit for the 2020 and below. They work just fine. On the 21 and up. As far as I know, the largest tires you can fit are 305-55-20 or 295-60-20. The first size is a 33-in tall tire and the second is 34 in tall. The 34 -in is just a tad narrower and still works. Those sizes fit with an aftermarket wheel that has somewhere around a plus 12 offset. The factory wheels are plus 44 offset. If you stick with them, you can fit a set of 35 x 12.5 x20 tires. I hope that helps.
