    Harry and the Hendersons is a 1987 American fantasy comedy film directed and produced by William Dear and starring Don Ameche, David Suchet, Margaret Langrick, Joshua Rudoy, Lainie Kazan, and Kevin Peter Hall. Steven Spielberg served as its uncredited executive producer, while Rick Baker provided the makeup and the creature designs for Harry. The film tells the story of a Seattle family's encounter with the cryptozoological creature Bigfoot, partially inspired by the numerous claims of sightings in the Pacific Northwest, California, and other parts of both the United States and Canada over three centuries.

    It aired on HBO a lot. The SWAT team running past the Space Needle blew my mind because it was the first movie I saw filmed in my home city.

    I’m just now watching this as I type this, I love this movie!
    I saw it in elementary school, when he was trying to make him leave so he’ll be safe so he had to be mean to him, I cried.

    When Lithgow's dad/boss altered the face of the Harry artwork to look more menacing, instantly i thought of "Fluffy" from Creepshow. So does this mean "the Crate" was anti-bigfoot propaganda? no, but Harry & Fluffy do have similar face structure though.

    • @MovieDumpster
      @MovieDumpster  3 месяца назад +4

      Technically Fluffy is a Yeti, but much different than the one Meatloaf was after. Maybe being locked in a crate and forgotten under the stairs for 100 years turned Fluffy into a ravenous monster 😂

    "Do you have any machine guns?"
    "What's your biggest gun?"
    "I just want something to scare them."
    "Where are the sawed-off shotguns?"

    Love you all for the little nemo love. It started as a comic strip from the 1900s. The movie you mentioned is a half japanese half american production. The game... well there is 2. An arcade cabnet thats kind of a beat em up thats fun, and the nes game which i beat but is quite honestly one of the hardest games i ever played... totally different game from the arcade one. Winsor mckay wrote little nemo and based him off his child. He also is basically an animation pioneer and you can find his little nemo animation and an animation he did where he interacts with a dinosaur on youtube and its neat. Its all silent movie like. Little nemo as a franchise doesn't get enough love, and either does Windsor McKay

    I'm glad you brought up the TV series, as in a way, that is what I'm more familiar with. Mainly because dad had an episode of the TV series on tape, this one with Hacksaw Jim Duggan. Guessing was back when he was in WWF. Yeah, dad was the one who got me into wrestling, specially Undertaker since I was always into Horror Movies, and Taker felt like a Horror Movie Character come to life. So, the movie, I do have in my Streaming Library, bought it on sale a few years ago, mainly because I remember that TV episode, but not watched it yet. That's why I say I'm more familiar with the TV show. As for the trying stuff, if I had the money, I'll be more than willing to do a Jen Tries of the Urge, mostly because I like Surge, but the old cookies, no thanks. 😉😂🤣 Yeah, last gaming session, went ahead and finished off those podcasts posted prior to finding this channel. Now just a few more left of those posted since then. If all goes well, probably next gaming session, I'll be all caught up. Mainly saying that because I'm seeing how long Trilogy of Terror is, so that would most likely be the last one for tonight's gaming session. We'll see, maybe I might still squeeze in Dog Soldier, but if not, those last two should be doable next session I do believe. Thank you, really has been fun listening to these in the background.

    I LOVE Harry and the Hendersons. It is the best looking Bigfoot imo. However, my favorite Bigfoot movie is a lot more recent - 2014’s Exists. Concepts like Bigfoot are perfect for the Found Footage genre, and it works well in Exists. Of course, Exists doesn’t have the talent of John Lithgow, so there’s an unfortunate thing.
    To be clear, Harry and the Hendersons, as a family Bigfoot movie IS the best (are there more family oriented Bigfoot movies?). Harry and the Hendersons is easily my #2 favorite Bigfoot movie.
