    There is no restriction on owning them, you just can't purchase them from the manufacturer.

      @@FlatRangeOperator please dude. You will literally blow a hole through your retina at the speed of light, permanent blindness. High powered lasers are dangerous. That’s why they all have warnings that say dangerous.

    A little off topic, but what are your opinions of the Surefire 720V? Do you think it's worth the price over a 952V or 620V?

    So with said lasers is it like instantaneous or is it like looking at the sun or bright lights where its over time

    • @jeffpraterJSF
      @jeffpraterJSF 2 года назад

      It is extremely instantaneous. The laser will blow a physical hole in your retina.

    . I ran across a peq15 on eBay. Description stated it was not the c version, but a full power. I asked the seller if there was some kind of paper work needed. Due to the fact that I had heard civilians were not permitted to buy full power. He told me it was perfectly legal at first. Then he wrote back that as long as I wasn't a felon, and as long as I am a citizen. I left it alone. Have you heard of people trying to sell these before?

    • @SkintSNIPER262

      Yes, online sites like ebay are were many civies get class3 lasers from. Perfectly legal.

    Is it illegal for a individual to own them, or just to purchase?

    • @theseasidepunk
      @theseasidepunk 6 лет назад +3

      It's not illegal for you/civilians to own them (unless they are stolen) or to purchase them privately. The thing is, that many (not ALL) that are for sale have been acquired illegally AKA stolen, is a fake or is the civilian variant. If someone is trying to sell you a high power AN/PEQ-15, call L3 and have them run the serial to validate the status and specs.

    • @theseasidepunk
      @theseasidepunk 6 лет назад +1

      Also, most units/Depts will NEVER sell them individually.

      Chances are it is a fake airsoft chinese clone. It isn't like you can't own "restricted" lasers, but that weapon mounted lasers are only sold from the company to the government and the government has never sold them on surplus. Consequentially if an average joe is found with an authentic device, by deduction it is stolen property and will be seized.
