    the recent court case involving the e.p.a. makes me wonder when some of these company's will file suit on f.d.a. ( i think its the fda that has regulated these lasers) their selling alot more equipment to civilians here in the us than they sell to the government.

      I actually don’t think that we’ll get anything near LE/MIL FP lasers readily available. With that much LASIK surgery pointers that can come off on guns and portable I don’t think it’ll happen

    I made the switch to 550 cord attachments on my NV rifle as well for the same reasons. Also, less noise. Recently had a QD attachment fail and that was the final push to use 550 cord. Nice video.

    I’ve been going back to clicky caps on all my lights but prefer to put my sling as far forward as I can on the left. But now my lights are all in the way. I can believe I didn’t think about using 550 cord instead of a QD

    I run a DBAL A2 and the 18350 (probably 18650 too) Reptilia light body pairs up perfectly to snug the light up under the laser. Have a Hot Button for the light and use the on board laser button. Has been a great setup.

    550 cord is a great idea for front attachment! I recently switched to a BFG UWL from a QD and I like it but they are pricey, I'll try that. Moves the triglide or hardware out of the way of the hand

    Good vid. Glad you set up your Mawl and switches like we have been running for years. I remember showing you a couple years ago and glad to see you’ve adopted that setup. I have since went to a newer placement for the Cloud light switch which is about as comfortable as our old setup you’re running. Takes a little getting used to but weight wise it’s less. Always have to keep weight in mind.

    I'm very torn on running my light under the mawl and using a modbutton lite dual lead for it and the laser, or just running them both a bit further forward and white light on left side, mawl on right, no modbutton. Paralysis of analysis.
    Pro- Light/Laser can momentary at the same time.
    Con- Noone I know trusts remotes, and the chances of a white light ND are much higher, coupled with the fact that in the dark, under stress, there are 3 buttons on top of the rail, and although they feel different, through gloves...I dunno. Seems like mistakes could be made since I'm not some tier 1 train 24/7 with the pin-hole covers kinda guy.

      I haven't had mine melt even with my heavy shooting days. I shoot suppressed the majority of the time so I dont have that issue. If it is for you just bring it back a couple Pic sections so you don't get as dirty, that goes for any laser though.

    Question, figured I'd ask you since you eat and breath nvd's. Are lasers getting to the point of warranted testing through power meters before classes? Reason i ask is the growing prevalence of chinese lasers. Lasers that some ppl have claimed are as high as class 4. Class 4 being so powerful that even looking at the reflection spot can cause instant permanent eye damage, much less a direct beam to the eye. I would imagine for any fvf class, a thorough checking of the training screws would be done for the users with full power devices, but what's to say someone has a counterfeit device where even the low power mode is considerably higher, being that China just doesn't give a shit about fda laser classes. Plenty of ppl are reluctant to buy the 300$ legit Chinese death rays, and go for grey market L3 peq's instead...can we be certain they are in fact L3? Or could they be counterfeits? Only real way to tell is with shining the beam through a power meter. What are your thoughts?

    • @KineticConsulting
      @KineticConsulting  Год назад +1

      If it's a fof class, I think it's definitely warranted. When it comes to use of lasers it's not worth it to blind dudes in training.
