Not signaling, but identifying. When an aircraft is called on station, the fister or JTAC will inform the pilot that friendly forces are identified by IR strobe, Vs-17, smoke etc. This in addition to vectoring the aircraft from the direct attack direction, and radioing obvious landmarks.
@@cahsahhhhhhhn Im pretty sure the Airframe actually lets in air from the rear because it uses two parts of a helmet and in between it lets air in. Probably not as much as a bump would though.
@@nyl0n733 yeah the Airframe is just as safe frontally, and I’d guess that because of overlap that it’s fine from the back too unless you caught some at the perfect angle to go through the vent. Much more ventilation than that is asking for trouble
A PT Bravo is not a skateboard helmet, it was created for the DoD for combat applications and is approved for HAHO and HALO jumping. SoF was using PT A Bravos before Wendys and Opscore were even around. The helmets Delta and SEALs used in Mogadishu during Black Hawk Down were made by the same company, Protec. Guy doesn't know his job.
Google it. If you buy one, it's most likely a pouch where you can add weighted plates. People often use the pouch to carry extra batteries or strobe lights because they don't want to add weight that doesn't serve a purpose.
Not to be "that guy" but your head does not dissipate more heat than the rest of your body, this has been debunked many times. Not saying that I would not want more ventilation, just saying your information is inaccurate.
Very good vid, thanks for uploading. Fair few people focus on plate carriers and the like not many take notice of the brain bucket. Your brain powers the machine, look after it xD I use a IIIA Kev high cut. I was told they ‘could’ stop a common rifle round IF the conditions and angles are right. Know of a guy who took a round straight to the helmet front, went right through. Then again more than a few guys had it stop an AK round. Go ballistic ;) they serve as a good multi purpose lid. Really informative, nice one.
IMO go full or high cut. MId doesn't really seem to matter unless you have some kind of weird ear pro that won't fit in a full. People like high cuts because they are comfortable, but IMO a helmet is for protection. You want that side coverage. If you want comfort and don't prioritize ballistic protection, get a bump helmet. I don't even buy a "tactical" bump helmet. I just use a bike helmet (a skateboard style one without the brims) and modify it.
I would really like to pick up an Airframe helmet, but I'm one of the only guys that doesn't mind dropping their own dime on gear on our team. The guys who don't spend money look at me like I'm an alien for having OpsCore rails, Norotos shroud w/ AKA2 mount and Velcro on MY ACH helmet. So what kind of response I'm I gonna get with an Airframe!??....must be from the future! Lol
Just a quick question, I've been looking on your website recently and have looked at some of the goggles, GPNVG18 PVS 15, 14 etc. and then at the bottom of the page it says that you have to be a US citizen to look through gen 3 tubes and you don't ship out of the US, I just want to know why, I'm British
Mili-Tech have offerings in the 300 range. While I usually wouldn't be confident in something made in china, they are properly ballistically certified and they're used by government organization outside of China. I think Police units in east Asia use them and even russias SOBR Terek have used Mili-Tech helmets.
Tim DL they are basically the same helmet but the MICH was issued to SOCOM personal starting in the late 90s while the ACH was issued around 05 to every one else in the army to replace the PASGT.
i bought a Few PVS14s and a IR laser from you guys. i hate the waiver. But since it is so expensive, i don't think the criminals are dumb enough to buy it and use it to commit a crime. Common sense.. lol.
C Morris I believe aspirate is the correct term for tactical application. Southern belles perspire and construction workers sweat. Aspirate...to make rough, is a manly, combative definition.
The A-Bravo is a jump helmet not a skate helmet. It's HAHO/HALO Jump Tested and DOD approved where others aren't. It is also military issue PPE and used by special forces. I stopped listening after you reviewed the A-Bravo wrong at the start. Hope you got the others right.
I'm not arguing with Team Wendy's quality and design. I just don't like their politics. They supported Hillary Clinton, thusly I will never support them.
Rusty Hardman lll% Maybe I should stop buying American made then. Maybe I should let a hardworking company that supports our troops, law enforcement, and SAR personnel with proven equipment die out because they let onboard a presidential candidate to visit their shop two years ago. That logic right there is what kills good business and competition in the United States.
Someone Nearyou That is not competition, you’re basically considering the purchase of an exponentially inferior helmet that is more than likely to get you killed if it catches a round. If you want competition look for American materials and made, not American materials and Chinese made.
Someone Nearyou Sure there are many options out there made here in America, but why are you so quick to defend HHV who’s offerings aren’t even made in the USA, but so volatile against TW? You do realize they brought Hillary onboard because she came over to visit local businesses right? People like you kill off otherwise good businesses like TW who’s products are actually proven.
Together these two guys can boast a full beard.
+Jeppe Ammitzbøll lmfao!!!!
haha
lol
after reading this comment I had to stop watching the video. it was the only thing I could focus on.

NIJ IIIA Helmets can sometimes deflect rifle rounds depending on angle of bullet. There are now Level 3 rifle rated helmets too
Nathan Keel the ECH during testing was reported to stop AK rounds at short distances but the testing indicated that if someone was wearing it they would have been knocked out cold
Did some business with you guys and all I can say is thanks, Blessings to you all My Brother's and Sisters in Arms.

Nice to see a decent overview of helmets.
It does surprise me that there aren't more ballistic helmets that vent.
Rusty Shackleford vents tend to let bullets and shrapnel in with the air, unfortunately

Bump helmet but it doesn't matter, the topology and intention is the same when moving around.
Ghos7N54 can it still be used for skate boarding purposes? I really like the look 😬
+Livino Yatar yes
Great explanaition! good video, but, what kind counter weight system? how does it look?

Any good recommendations for a 4 hole shroud for a binocular nvg system?
the guy on the right looks like Rick Grimes from the walking dead
Dont see it
nope
i use a i4 is any of this helmets compatible with it. or can some of the be moded to support it. thanks
Good info. Any thoughts on a full-cut vs mid-cut?

Why do the skater helmets look like combat helmets?
What is the name of the second ballistic helmet; the one Chip is holding at 7:49? Chip didn't say.
Looks like a MICH 2001 with Ops-Core Arc Rails.... Not entirely sure but it kinda looks like that
thank again guys, keep it up, youre doing great job here
When I heard stabbing the drama in the intro I lost my shit
what if a bullet finds its way into the holes? you never know where they'll hit or could that act as a shot trap...kinda?
Do yall have full helmet setup for sale?
Soilwork - stabbing the drama 🤘
Great reviews, I learned a lot
Roger. Thanks

What is the purpose of the strobe on the back of the helmet? As in how would the military run them? I am assuming it's for signalling aircraft.
its to spot team members when using ir and night vision. its for both close air support, and, boots on the ground, positive id of friendly's
How makes that LED on the back of the team Wendy exfil?
The kevlar is placed in a way the leaves a gap for ventilation
Thank you
I wish I could find a balistic helmet with rails and nv mount for 200 to 250

Anyone know the difference between a MICH 2000 and an ACH?
Tim DL they are basically the same helmet but the MICH was issued to SOCOM personal starting in the late 90s while the ACH was issued around 05 to every one else in the army to replace the PASGT.
My Airframe is on the way!
Are the helmets good for paintball
TechnoDrop considering they are good for combat, I’d say paintball would fall underneath that.
i bought a Few PVS14s and a IR laser from you guys. i hate the waiver. But since it is so expensive, i don't think the criminals are dumb enough to buy it and use it to commit a crime. Common sense.. lol.
what class or type of ballistics helmets are designed to stop a rifle round?
Prices? Would been nice.even a ball park.
www.tnvc.com check our prices out there.
Imagine having to actually sign paperwork to buy a helmet... IT PROTECTS YOUR BRAIN that’s it!
ohh yeah I love my opcore ballistic replica helmet!!
Helmets with holes look like biker helmets.
none man. thats so much force, very little personal armor can stop high power rounds
your head does not aspirate... perspires is the word you wanted.

If it's literally a skateboard helmet, I'm just going to duracoat my skateboard helmet then.
I'm not arguing with Team Wendy's quality and design. I just don't like their politics. They supported Hillary Clinton, thusly I will never support them.
You'll notice we no longer carry TW products on our website for that very reason.

ohhhh, helmet porn....nice
this video is chick veteran approved!!!!
***** awesome! that makes both of us.
Lvl IIIA.
If you play Escape From Tarkov you'll completely know what helmet fits you
Uhh.. uhhh...
Disliked and will not be purchasing due to the waiver kinda sad I mean I get it but it's still wrong tbh
