10. Teen Titans 9. Samurai Jack 8. Looney Tunes 7. Dexter's Laboratory 6. Camp Lazlo 5. Ed, Edd n Eddy 4. The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy 3. Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends 2. Courage The Cowardly Dog 1. Tom and Jerry (Original)
evangelion, ghost in the shell, and tatami galaxy were all i knew. I'm happy tho because I've been in a rut looking for something good to watch lately. I'm trying to get through elfin lied right now and i know this probably isn't a popular opinion but man, its pretty dumb
I'm actually kind of surprised to see that Naoki Urasawa's Monster was not on your list. It really seems like something that would fit very well beside many of these shows.
Awesome to see HxH at #3. The reason people get heated when discussing stuff like this is that there is a difference between high art and quality entertainment. Your list strikes a nice balance. if you make the list all artsy and conceptual, you'll be called pretentious. If you make the list all mainstream or shonen you'll be called an idiot who hasn't seen enough anime. HxH would probably be #1 for me. It's ridiculous to compare the two. I'd rather see people post a high art list and a fun to watch list.
Meruem shitstomps Johan as a villain let's just get that out of the way. Johan is the very definition of a wasted potential. Could've had a more grandeur ending to his character, but no....hype him up to no end to be this devious prodigal mastermind only to give him that bland ass ending.
I guess I have to watch HxH during the day because I can't get into it when it airs on Toonami. I know you can't agree with everyone, but HxH seems to be on everyone's list.
1. Legend of the Galactic Heroes 2. Ashita no Joe/Ashita no Joe 2 3. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood 4. Neon Genesis Evangelion 5. Welcome to the NHK! 6. Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin 7. Kenpuu Denki Berserk 8. Rose of Versailles 9. Hokuto no Ken 10. Haibane Renmei
My top 10 1. LOGH 2. The Tatami Galaxy 3. Mushishi 4. Texhnolyze 5. Ergo Proxy 6. Ghost in the Shell 7. Serial Experiments Lain 8. Ashita no Joe 9. Berserk (1997) 10. Haibane Renmei
I used to HATE anime for a good while, but since I recently started to get into film making and animation and all that good stuff I have opened my tiny mind and watched some stuff and I am glad I did. Although I haven't seen many that grabbed my attention there are some that have inspired me in countless ways. As an animator I love me a good style to be inspired by and I also looove atmosphere and character development, here are my 3 favorites shows. 3. FLCL ( Short but sweet, incredible animation direction and a great styyyyyylllle. It's surprisingly deep for such a short show and is packed full of symbolism with out bashing you over the head with it.) 2. Ping Pong the Animation (Art style may be off putting to some but I love it, The focus on characters here is almost unmatched for me, HIGHLY RECOMMEND.) 1. Cowboy Bebop ( Some say it's overrated but I say it's a masterpiece. The pacing, editing, animation, characters, and atmosphere mesh so well together I still have no idea how they pulled it off. The entire show is like a machine with all it's inner parts working on full blast. Not only is it a good anime but most importantly it's just a well constructed show, something that anyone can watch and hopefully appreciate.)
+Kyler Ramos You probably hated it because................Overhype. Anyway I'd say give KatanaGatari a chance, Along with most of the Gundam series. ESPECIALLY the original UC trilogy.
Agreed. I absolutely hated anime once I got really interested in film because I thought it was all shounen Bullshit for kids. When I watched Evangelion for the first time last year, it completely changed my outlook on anime. Anime has so many great series to offer like Serial Experiments Lain, Cowboy Bebop, Mushishi, and honestly pretty much everything this dude has on his list. It really offers some of the best in film once you dig past all of the Bullshit anime...
I can't explain it, but some how I always come back to "The girl who leapt through time" and "Paprika". I love editing, absoultely editing and shot positioning. The way that these two movies have enchanted me, man.
my top 10 1.one piece 2.Dragon ball z 3.fairy tail 4.naruto 5.bleach 6.kateyo hitman reborn 7.Hunter x hunter 8.death note 9.baccano 10.the familiar of zero
I don't think my top 10 would ever be complete without Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Berserk, and possibly either Code Geass/Death Note (interchangeable). Too many great series out there, though. I'll say that.
Just finished watching Mushishi after having it on the back burner for years. Now I wish I had gotten to it sooner. I've watched hundreds if not thousands of different anime over my 20 years in the fandom and this one has immediately skyrocketed up to the top of my list. The most breathtakingly beautiful anime I've ever watched. Loved the short story, fable style it has. Loved the soundtrack. Loved Ginko and all the people he met in his travels. Perfect show.
AnimeEveryday I will also say that in my opinion the overall excellence of this Top 10 list is slightly dampened by the inclusion of Ergo Proxy. I really think that's a mediocre anime.
Mushishi is also my fav anime xD, ones that are most similar to it are Natsume Yuujinchou and kino journey since you enjoyed mushishi you will love both of them.
My top 10 Anime TV Series so far: 1. Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex(2002) 2. Mushishi(2005) 3. Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica(2011) 4. Dennou Coil(2007) 5. Haibane Renmei(2002) 6. Steins; Gate(2011) 7. Shinsekai yori(2012) 8. Tokyo Magnitude 8.0(2009) 9. Kill la Kill(2013) 10. Death Parade(2015) I excluded LoGH due to its old age and OVA type, although I really love it.
1. Ashita no Joe 2. Mawaru Penguindrum 3. Mushishi 4. Texhnolyze 5. Gurren Lagann 6. Fullmetal Alchemist 2003 7. Haibane Renmei 8. Nana 9. Tatami Galaxy 10. Berserk Bottom five is subject to change. My top five is pretty much solidified.
It's really hard for me to say a top ten, I know my top 2: 1. The End of Evangelion, Neon Genesis Evangelion (like way way at the top) 2. Monster Then we have Perfect Blue, Code Geass, Death Note, Paranoia Agent, Serial Expermients Lain, Ergo Proxy, Ghost in the Shell, Baccano, Durarara, Cowboy Bebop, Your Lie In April, Welcome to the NHK and etc are all at the top.. But I can't really put them in order. I have never watched Texhnolyze or Mushishi, but those 2 series caught my eye a long time ago. I guess it's time to watch them.
@@Lubble- The fact that you are still using emotocons and along with that poor grammar, its safe to assume you can't be over the age of 12. That instant show of aggression too is ironic for someone using the term snowflake. And the fact that you don't see the line between bias and opinion means you are just on another plain of reality.

I'm still something of a newby, but here's mine, just counting series 1. Rurouni Kenshin 2. Hunter x Hunter 3. Legend of the Galactic Heroes 4. Berserk 5. FMA: Brotherhood 6. Dragon Ball 7. One Punch Man 8. NGE 9. Yu Yu Hakusho 10. Cowboy Bebop
1)gungrave 2)berserk 3)Steins Gate 4) Sakamichi no Apollon 5)Ping Pong The Animation 6) Ergo Proxy 7)Michiko To Hatchin 8)Gankutsuou 9) Welcome to NHK 10)Barakamon
Congratulations on 10,000 subscribers. Great list and keep up the good work, man. :) My top 10 can change from time to time but at this moment it would be... 1. The Tatami Galaxy 2. Serial Experiments Lain 3. Neon Genesis Evangelion+End of Evangelion 4. Kaiba 5. Haibane Renmei 6. Texhnolyze 7. Millennium Actress 8. Ghost in the Shell (Movie and both seasons of Stand Alone Complex) 9. Princess Tutu 10. FLCL Honorable Mentions go to Legend of the Galactic Heroes and Mushishi which are 2 series that sometimes go into my top 10 when I feel like it.
Keten Zima It seems like most top 10 lists are some mix of a few ABe, a few Yuasa, probably a Gainax, a really solid film or to, and then some other personal entry or two, and deservedly so.
My top 10: 10. Konosuba 9. Dragonball 8. Your Lie in April 7. Cowboy Bebop 6. Gurren Lagann 5. Kill la Kill 4. Death Note 3. Code Geass 2. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood 1. Psycho Pass
If it helps, I've added it to my backlog of shows I need to watch. Aria should be next after Angel's Egg. I feel like I might get an experience similar to Spice and Wolf; a show that really blew me away with a great plot, rich characters, and great atmosphere/setting. I feel like Aria has amazing atmosphere/setting and seeing as how it seems to be set in Venice (or some fantastical/sci-fi equivalent).
sharebear421 Ikr... should be ateast top 3. Now out of jokes.. If you don't think Aria is "Meh. It's Okay" you obviously didn't get fully what Aria is or you're simply not into that kind of series.(Which i don't get why because what Aria did is to take slice of life to a new level)
My top 10. 10. Welcome to the NHK 9. Black Lagoon 8. Steins; Gate 7. Code Geass (R2 almost had it off this list, but the ending was made up for it) 6. Bacanno! 5. Cowboy Bebop 4. Naruto (there goes my credibility lmfao) 3. Clannad (just after story) 2. Fate/Zero 1.FullMetal Alchemist (Original and Brotherhood tied) I've only seen 52 series so this list isn't that credible.
Out of the over 350 anime I've seen until now those would be my favourites: 1 Ping Pong the Animation 2 Samurai Champloo 3 Honey and Clover 4 Ghost in the Shell: SAC 5 Space Brothers 6 Mushishi 7 Nodame Cantabile 8 Texhnolyze 9 Urasawa's Monster 10 Sound of the Sky Excluding movies and such... (Edited 18.07.16; now hopefully about 90% less elitist :D)
Well here I go too I guess... #10 Black Butler #9 Paranoia Agent #8 Kuroko No Basket (Aye, just loved it, no reasons really) #7 Evangelion #6 Shingeki No Kyojin #5 Death Note #4 Mirai Niki #3 Cowboy Bebop #2 Soul Eater #1 (huh, this is tough, I'm an indecisive kind of person...) Ao No Exorcist (I devoured this anime, literally) (Oh and special mention to the whole monogatari series, even though the fanservice was strangling me, this was too unique and well made to go unnotice)
I still need to watch a lot of stuff, but so far my top 10 looks like this: 1. Tatami Galaxy 2. Kaiba 3. Welcome to the NHK 4. Berserk 5. NGE 6. Haibane Renmei 7. Mushishi 8. Shinsekai Yori 9. Ergo Proxy 10. Kaiji
I haven't seen many shows that are considered liable for enlightenment (to be honest I'm rather new to the genre as a whole) so here's my list: 1) FMA Brotherhood 2) Ping Pong 3) Silver Spoon 4) Haibane Renmei 5) Baccano 6) Trust & Betrayal 7) Fate Zero 8) FLCL 9) Steins Gate 10) JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Honorable mentions go to Ghost in the Shell SAC and Sword of the Stranger
because he wouldnt get as many views or comments if he did. people love to argue about it and if you say they are just your favorites then people know that you arent trying to argue it.
My top 10 list has been in kind of a ballistic state. I've been watching a bunch of really excellent animes as of late and I'm having trouble evaluating them in relation to each other. My list might be more solid in the future once I've gotten through some of these amazing series.
Let's see (No movies included, so no GitS): 1. NGE 2. Tatami Galaxy 3. GTO 4. JoJo 5. Mushishi 6. Kaiji 7. Yamato 2199 8. Ping Pong 9. Lain 10. Gunbuster Will never be final, only #1 is. I watched all the anime on your list with the exception of Aria. Still watching LOGH atm.
Congrats on passing 10,000 subscribers!Glad to have found this channel by accident few months ago.Keep up the good work! ;D My top 10 would be: 10.Code Geass 9.Yu Yu Hakusho 8.Hunter x Hunter 2011 7.Hajime no Ippo 6.FMA Brotherhood 5.Monster 4.Mushishi 3.Ping Pong the Animation 2.Cowboy Bebop 1.Steins;Gate

I've only been watching for 4 months so excuse my noobie-ness, but here is my top 10: #1 : Fullmetal Alchemist : Brotherhood #2 : Fullmetal Alchemist #3 : Cowboy Bebop #4 : Baccano! #5 : Death Note #6 : Gurren Lagann #7 : Black Lagoon #8 : Soul Eater #9 : Steins;Gate #10 : Samurai Champloo It's worth mentioning that I'm watching Hunter X Hunter and I'd probably put it at #5 instead of Death Note which I'd bump down.
Lolita chan Thanks XD. If you want to look at my full anime record, here: myanimelist.net/profile/AngryAlchemist Tell me what you think :D. Any recommendations would be cool.

1. SWORD ART ONLINE 2. HIGHSCHOOL OF THE DEAD 3. HIGHSCHOOL DXD 4. FAIRY TAIL . . . Just kidding. But now that I have your attention: 1. Hunter x Hunter (2011) 2. Code Geass 3. Parasyte 4. Death Note 5. Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagaan That's all. Of the 200 TV Anime watched so far.
***** They're both anime which pre-teens praise as godlike because of all the boobs. So yes, if you put them in your top10: Either you're going through puberty or you like anime boobs too much. Not to mention, these two are the biggest examples of "sex sells" in the anime industry. Which inturn is a big blow to the industry, since many new anime's main focus is the 'boobs aspect', instead of a fucking decent story.
Lain, Paranoia Agent,Ergo Proxi, Samurai Champloo, the grave of the fireflies, berserk, Kaiba,GITS,Akira and my absolute favourite Monster. Honorary mentions are too many to count but the first arch of otogizoshi , as well as cowboy bebop and evangelion are very close to my heart
"This is bait for sure lol" I'd have called you out for stating the obvious.. but apparently some people here missed the obvious. I guess the name "Memeo" with some idiotic profile pic was too subtle a hint.
Where was this list when I was getting into anime three years ago. All my friends knew was Attack on Titan and Naruto. So glad I found this list. I just barely found Legend of the Galactic heroes and it has been the best anime experience I have had so far. After this video I immediately went and kept watching it. Thank you for this list of quality, intellectually stimulating anime. I've been looking everywhere for something like this.

TheUndefeatedMagician I did. I just meant that i can't disprove that Statement not because i didn't watch it rather due to how amazing it is at everything it does.
As you asked: 10. Haruhi Suzumiya (series and movie) 9.Texhnolyze 8.FLCL 7.Spice and Wolf 6.Blue Submarine No.6 5. Cowboy Bebop 4.Serial Experiments Lain 3.Black Lagoon 2.Ghost in the Shell (entire franchise) 1.Ergo Proxy
NGL - I am a modern anime pleb. I'm still fairly new to anime as a whole, but yeah. \o/ 1. Steins;Gate: Mind-blowing, a good mix of well-placed humor and serious, dramatic themes. Favorite song: "The Time-Governing Twelve Covenants" 2. Death Parade: It almost felt cruelly bittersweet, and one you could really get invested in due to its conflicting values and morals. Favorite song: "Flyers" 3. Erased: A very blunt, dark anime; very original Other I Have Seen: - Attack on Titan: The music is fantastic, along with the animation; the characters are a bit over-the-top. I really dig dramatic, dark themes, so, ya know. Favorite song is "Vogal im Kafig" - Tokyo Ghoul: Yes, I know it doesn't really follow the manga, but I still really enjoyed the concept (and watching Kaneki's estranged character development; geez, he is messed up). Favorite song is "Glassy Sky" - Death Note (partially): I couldn't really stay attached to it, think I got to episode 7? But MAN, what I saw was twisted and insane right from the beginning. - Shokugeki no Soma: Light-hearted, more of just for fun tbh. I liked how dramatic it was despite the fact that it was not life-or-death - Your Lie in April: Absolutely beautiful, I binged it and finished it sobbing at 8AM. It would probably be #4 - Sword Art Online: Sort of a guilty pleasure anime; I ADORE the world-building and lore, but the characters and relationships are pretty weak - Owari No Seraph: Again, really over-the-top, dramatic, a tad bit unrealistic; kind of like SAO but flipped, where I really enjoyed the characters but not so much the world - RWBY (if you count it as an anime): Really takes the stage with its creativity, action sequences and animation (especially in Volume 4). Kind of biased towards it tbh. Favorite song is "Armed and Ready" or "Mirror Mirror Part II" - Yuri!!! On Ice: Another one that was more just for fun, very entertaining, I loved watching the various and sometimes dramatic stories and scenarios behind each routine.
Very good list. You also justified your choices very nicely. This is what top 10 lists should be, not just a bunch of clips with the title of the anime and it's position
my top ten of all time 9. dragon ball 8.hunter x hunter 7.one piece 6. naruto 5.samuraix 4.blood 3.full metal alchemist 3. attack on titan 2.death note 1. code geass
1. Serial Experiments Lain 2. Beck Mongolian chop squad 3. Hunter x Hunter 4. Phantom Requiem 5. Yu yu hakusho 6. Eva 7. Katanagatari 8. Monster 9. Vampire Hunter D 10. Samurai Champloo Honorable mentions Death note Zombie Desu ka Higurashi Kenshin Haruhi Knight of sidonia Munto Slayers From the New world Air Clannad Needless Magi Ghost in a shell FMAB
Oppai Master Nice, finally someone mentions Katanagatari, From the New World, and Monster. They aren't on my top list but i really really loved watching them except From the New World, that shit was amazing.
2insanekiller yup I really wish more people would watch Katanagatari really is a hidden jem, from the new world is great to just wasn't a fan of the start becuase I really didn't know what was going on but after that it's amazing
Top 10 10. Lucky Star 9. Death Note 8. FLCL 7. G Gundam 6. Sonic X (JAP) 5.Attack on Titan 4.Chobits 3. Cardcaptor Sakura 2.Sailor Moon 1. Aria the Animation
Oh, thank you! I have seen 1 episode of Trigun (still got to work on that show) and I am currently in the second season of Durarara and am enjoying it.
1. Attack on Titan 2. One Piece 3. Hunter x Hunter (2011) 4. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood 5. Naruto Shippuden 6. Demon Slayer 7. The Promised Neverland 8. One Punch Man 9. Black Clover 10. My Hero Academia
1. Gurren Lagann - Just pure fun and adrenaline, what all less serious anime should aspire to be. Overloads of style and substance. 2. LoGH - Pretty much the antithesis of TTGL. Considered, subtle, brilliant story telling and world building. 3. End of Evangelion - Masterpiece, plain as. Komm Susser Todd still gives me goosebumps. 4. FLCL - Similar to Gurren Lagann, overloads of style and a perfect example of why anime is such a unique medium. 5. Baccano - Seemingly unrelated stories masterfully interwoven into one continuum bringing about one of the most interesting and engaging pieces ever put to screen. Great action and art. 6. NGE - No anime before or since has come close to having characters as layered and complex as Eva and made them work half as well. Coupled with strong production and story and you have a hugely engaging and thought provoking show. 7. Cowboy Bebop - A classic for a reason. No other show has dealt with the episodic format as well as CB. Conclusion and movie are masterpieces in their own right. 8. Space Dandy - Very similar to CB in terms of setting and format but somehow more stylish. Some episodes were simply exceptional. 9. Uchuu Senkan Space Yamato / Macross / Turn A Gundam - Of the more conventional mecha and space opera shows, these stand out as some of the best in terms of production and story, particularly 2199 and Frontier. 10. Fate/Zero / Redline / Sword of The Stranger - All three have outstanding production. Fate has great animation, CG, sound, and a deep engaging plot. Sword of The Stranger has amazing fight choreography and a heartfelt story. Redline is simply staggering.
So these are my top 10. I'm just saying ahead of time that these are 10 favorites, not the ones that I think are the best. 1) Toradora- it does a great job at explaining how complicated young love is while deconstructing various harem and tsundere tropes. 2) Cowboy Bebop- do I really need to say why? 3) Fullmetal Alchemist/Brotherhood- I can't decide which one I love more so I've decided to put them together. It shouldn't be possible to have so many well developed characters who can all compete to be your #1. 4) Anohana- the feels are real with this. I've watched it like 10 times and it always moves me with its themes of loss and friendship. 5) Code Geass- Lelouch is one of the best protagonists in recent anime. The storytelling is impressive and the character development for the major characters is spectacular. Plus, Clamp's art and animation is once again great. 6) Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo- This is more personal for me because I completely relate to the main character and his dilemma of trying to find something to strive for despite his lack of a goal in life. 7) Neon Genesis Evangelion- All of the reasons that were given in the video. 8) Trigun- A great blend of western influences, comedy, action, and drama that has one of the best dubs ever. It also has a protagonist who has several layers who you end up loving. 9) Death Note- The first half is amazing. No doubt about that. The second half is weaker, but it is still able to grasp my attention despite it's inherent weaknesses. Plus, that ending feels so right. 10) Spice & Wolf- Who thought a series about trading in midevil Europe would be interesting? Great character development and explanations of trade while having romantic elements that are realistic with a flare of the supernatural.
1)Serial Experiments Lain 2) Eureka Seven 3)RahXephon 4)Evangelion 5)Your Lie In April 6) FLCL 7)From The New World 8)Trigun 9)Cowboy Bebop 10) Cory in the house
1. The Monogatari Series 2. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure 3. Baccano! 4. FLCL 5. Level E to do through 10 would require a lot of thinking I'll decode that later.
+Dat-Dude-Is-An-Arcade-Syk0 Level E was just a great time. It was funny, unpredictable, and the Prince was fantastic. As great as YYH and HxH are I give Level E extra credit for just being something completely different.
Well I am thinking of checking it out soon as Togashi is my Favourite Mangaka despite his Hiatuses I look away from that and just how good of a Mangaka he is! Wanna watch your top 3 especially Monogatari and JoJo's.
My Top 10 as of now: 10 Death Note 9 Neon Genesis Eva 8 Parasyte 7 Mononoke 6 Kaiba 5 Attack on Titan 4 Texhnolyze 3 Welcome to the NHK 2 FLCL 1 Akira ( yeah, it's a movie. haha)
My top ten: 1. Aria 2. Kara no Kyoukai 3. Steins;Gate 4. Mushishi 5. Darker than Black Season 1 6. Ergo Proxy 7. Gankutsuou 8.The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya 9. Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood 10. Beck Honorable Mentions: Kino's Journey, Gurren Lagann, Spice and Wolf, Toradora, Wolf's Rain

Nice list and Congrats on 10k. My Top 10 list. 10. Beck 9. Usagi Drop 8. Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom 7. Paranoia Agent 6. Eureka 7 5. Mushishi 4. Monster 3. Tatami Galaxy 2. Monogatari Series 1. Baccano Can someone recommend me something?
my top 10 of all time are. 10. Eva 9. Sword of the stranger 8. Gundam Wing 7. Gunsmith Cats 6. Kokoro connect 5. Macross 4. Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood 3. Ghost in the shell / ghost in the shell Stand Alone Complex 3. log horizon 2. Guilty Crown 1. psycho pass.
lol. The kind of list I'd make if I was tasked with trying to upset the least amount of people. But then again what would one expect from a top10 channel. This top10 tells me nothing of the creator of this list. Well, nothing except that he knows 10 of the maybe 25~ anime that nobody(or very few) dares to shittalk.
Ferenc Szaffenauer Nobody shit-talk Evangelion? I didnt even watched that show, and I know how split people are about it. Mushishi is over-rated, people say it's *deep* when is just *mature*. Being mature isnt inherently good by the way, just as being childish isnt inherently bad.
Interesting list, thank goodness it didn't have the common crap that most do, at least 3 of these I have not seen and will put on my to watch list. It would be so hard for me to compile a list like this...
1.One piece 2.Dragon ball (all of em) 3.fullmetal alchemy brotherhood 4.attak on titans 5.Naruto 6.Sailor Moon 7. Red Baron 8.fairy tale 9.ghost in shell 10.samurai
Congrats on 10k. Though I found your list kind of disappointing, it seems like every "Mature & Intelligent" Anime fan who does videos always sticks to the very safe "Oh its so deep with great writing and RICH atmosphere" kinds of choices rather than things that have multiple flaws, but they just enjoyed for whatever reason, like its impossible for them to enjoy a show unless its a thick, rich and fulfilling experience. Thats not a slam against you, its just a trend I've noticed between most anime reviewers, I almost had hope when Eva was *only* #10. Still enjoy your content and hope to keep watching though. Hrm, hard to come up with a list of 10, might as well try. 10: Hitsugi no Chaika 9: Trigun 8: Kill la Kill 7: Yuki Yuna wa Yusha de Aru 6: Non Non Biyori 5: Claymore 4: Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! 3: Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood 2: Yuru Yuri & Kiniro Mosaic 1: Madoka Magica Honorable Mentions: Baccano, Fate/Zero, Psycho Pass
I don't have a 10 best- list, but i have a NEEDS MENTIONING list: Macross plus Spice and Wolf Sora no Woto ARIA Evangelion Kara no kyoukai Clannad FUMOFFU nausicaa Black lagoon: Roberta's blood trail NHK ni youkosou The princess and the pilot Hanasaku Iroha Hitsugi no chaika and somehow: "Kobato" it's just so soothing....
Only movies. I cannot rank series. I haven't finished up to 10 yet. 10: Spirited Away 9: Princess Mononoke 8: Grave of the Fireflies 7: Perfect Blue 6: Tokyo Godfathers 5: Akira 4: Jin-roh 3: Ghost in the shell (had been number 1 the longest out of all the 1-ners) 2: Trust and Betrayal 1: Millennium Actress 0: The End of Evangelion. It shall forever remain here.
+Paul Staker Pretty solid list of movies. You can also check out Time of Eve and Metropolis if you haven't watched them yet. It's strange how highly I think of EoE since I have a different opinion on the TV Series.
Paul Staker It's not a bad series. But when its fans gave too much meaning to something that isn't supposed to mean anything it turned into something akin to religion.
10. Serial Experiments Lain 9. Steins; Gate 8. Kaiba 7. ToraDora 6. Welcome To The Nhk 5. Code Geass 4. Monster 3. Gurren Lagann 2. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood 1. Neon Genesis Evangelion+ End of Evangelion I've only seen 69 anime though.
I agree Space Dandy has well drawn animation, but when it comes to narrative and story that it turns average. I don't hate I just can't say its that great. You should try watch COWBOY BEBOP because its more serious with its themes
Dude between your top 10 90's animes and Ergo Proxy showing up in your top 10 all time favorite animes, you earned yourself the top spot in my anime reviewer list :p
AnimeEveryday I really like your style. No face cam, you're not trying to be funny or anything, you're not reviewing shitty stuff for the lulz, you're not spoiling anything. It's just straight to the point and damn, it is efficient. My credit card will probably melt in the near future :p.
It has all the psychological and cyber punk in them. From watching his videos I guessed 8 out of 10, I was surprised Paranoia agent and Lain didn't make the cut but the ones already there are pretty amazing
Just stumbled upon your channel. All I can say is your top 10 is by FAR the best top 10. Although everyone has different taste and opinions you did a wonderful job justifying the spots for each anime.
Here r my top favowite aniems of all... da tims 10.Sword Art Online 9. Mirai Nikki 8. Gundam SEED Destiny 7. Training with Hinako 6. Bathtime with Hinako & Hiyoko 5. Sleeping with Hinako 4. School Days 3. Bocu no Picu 2. Garzey's Wing 1. NNNNIIIIIIIJJJJJAAAAAA SLLAAAAAYYYYYEEERRRR git gud plebs
I love Ergo Proxy. It's brought up far too rarely. My all-time favorite has to be Cowboy Bebop, though. I've never felt so deeply invested in the core characters of any other show (plus the music is amazing).
10. Teen Titans
9. Samurai Jack
8. Looney Tunes
7. Dexter's Laboratory
6. Camp Lazlo
5. Ed, Edd n Eddy
4. The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy

1. Tom and Jerry (Original)
No Cory in the house for 1???
Tom and Jerry! My favorite!
Those are cartoons...
ghost Someone didn't get it...
Tom and Jerry wipes the floor with Corey in the House.
this list made me feel like i've only watched 4 anime's....
+Narhang Ingnam same here lmao i dont know any of these animes. we are too mainstream for this top 10 list :( QQ
+Rex Jr If you don't know Evangelion you must've lived under a huge rock
evangelion, ghost in the shell, and tatami galaxy were all i knew. I'm happy tho because I've been in a rut looking for something good to watch lately. I'm trying to get through elfin lied right now and i know this probably isn't a popular opinion but man, its pretty dumb
Narhang Vandam which animes did u watch ?
Straight up, i only knew Ergo Proxy and Ghost in the shell
God taste
No creí encontrarte por estos lares.
Not sure if typo xd
I'm actually kind of surprised to see that Naoki Urasawa's Monster was not on your list. It really seems like something that would fit very well beside many of these shows.
Couldn't agree more. Maybe he hasn't seen it by that time yet..
I honestly agree but since that was made years ago he probably watched it now
1. Mushishi
2. Monster
3. Hunter X Hunter (2011)
4. Ergo Proxy
5. Shinsekai Yori
6. FMA: Brotherhood
7. Code Geass
8. Phantom: Requiem for the phantom
9. Fate/Zero
10. Samurai Champloo
Seen just over 100
monster is good
Fate/Zero is pretentious
My Top 10 (as for now):
1. *Ergo Proxy*

3. *Monster*
4. *Mushishi*
5. *Ghost in the Shell: SAC S1 & S2*

5. Ergo Proxy
6. Ghost in the Shell
7. Serial Experiments Lain
8. Ashita no Joe

Dang great list, especially texnolyze. So rare people that put texnolyze in their top 10
Emanuel Ramirez Wowwww your list and mine are so similarrr
berserk bruh
@@Bruh-nj5nu Did you watch any of them by now?
I can't believe Cory in the House didn't make your list!
fredettaboutit Also Drake and Josh.
fredettaboutit that's because it's a dead and unfunny meme
Steins Gate, Shinsekai Yori, Mushishi, Cory in the House lol
No Cowboy Bebop?
my sentiment exactly. It's his favorite.
I think he was trying to exclude blatantly obvious things like Cowboy Bebop or Miyazaki films.
you are right. make sense.
sorry, its slick noir and nihilism that goes nowhere
+Shenanigan Samurai but Eva was featured???
I used to HATE anime for a good while, but since I recently started to get into film making and animation and all that good stuff I have opened my tiny mind and watched some stuff and I am glad I did. Although I haven't seen many that grabbed my attention there are some that have inspired me in countless ways. As an animator I love me a good style to be inspired by and I also looove atmosphere and character development, here are my 3 favorites shows.
3. FLCL ( Short but sweet, incredible animation direction and a great styyyyyylllle. It's surprisingly deep for such a short show and is packed full of symbolism with out bashing you over the head with it.)
2. Ping Pong the Animation (Art style may be off putting to some but I love it, The focus on characters here is almost unmatched for me, HIGHLY RECOMMEND.)
+Kyler Ramos You should watch ''The Tatami Galaxy''.
+Kyler Ramos You probably hated it because................Overhype.
Anyway I'd say give KatanaGatari a chance,
Along with most of the Gundam series.
ESPECIALLY the original UC trilogy.
Watch one piece, Its great.
I reccamend Kara no kyoukai if your looking for incredible art/animation
Where's King of the Hill ?
Adrian Meza
And Cory in the House?
Adrian Meza are you serious
Adrian Meza HILARIOUS AND ORIGINAL
my top 10

+mahendra kunwar Thats only 4 ....... Weirdo !
No Monster?
I hadn't watched it at the time!
+AnimeEveryday Ah, ok cool.
monster is a good anime
+AnimeEveryday that explains
did you watch it since? if so, would you rank it top 10?
I don't think my top 10 would ever be complete without Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Berserk, and possibly either Code Geass/Death Note (interchangeable). Too many great series out there, though. I'll say that.
Hunter x Hunter?
same. particularly cowboy bebop and berserk, they're something else.
Berserk anime is shit manga is masterpiece
Just finished watching Mushishi after having it on the back burner for years. Now I wish I had gotten to it sooner. I've watched hundreds if not thousands of different anime over my 20 years in the fandom and this one has immediately skyrocketed up to the top of my list. The most breathtakingly beautiful anime I've ever watched. Loved the short story, fable style it has. Loved the soundtrack. Loved Ginko and all the people he met in his travels. Perfect show.
+DrNordo Glad you liked it so much! You should check out Aria as well. It's very similar. Simple at first, but powerful in it's conclusion.
AnimeEveryday Thank you very much! I'll be sure to check it out. Does it have a decent dub? I have a preference for dubs.
My top 10 Anime TV Series so far:
1. Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex(2002)
2. Mushishi(2005)
3. Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica(2011)

9. Kill la Kill(2013)
10. Death Parade(2015)
I excluded LoGH due to its old age and OVA type, although I really love it.
Nice list :)
+Luis Palomino Why? Kill La kill was a great anime.
+洪仕翰 Good list. Death Parade was worth my time :D
+Luis Palomino Despite how sexualized the characters, the fanservice doesn't get in the way much.
Fanservice =/= bad
distracting fanservice = bad

It's really hard for me to say a top ten, I know my top 2:
1. The End of Evangelion, Neon Genesis Evangelion (like way way at the top)
2. Monster
Then we have Perfect Blue, Code Geass, Death Note, Paranoia Agent, Serial Expermients Lain, Ergo Proxy, Ghost in the Shell, Baccano, Durarara, Cowboy Bebop, Your Lie In April, Welcome to the NHK and etc are all at the top.. But I can't really put them in order.
I have never watched Texhnolyze or Mushishi, but those 2 series caught my eye a long time ago. I guess it's time to watch them.
Rui Costa Enjoy them if you do watch them :)
Holy shi- I was expecting a really bad list, but no you legit gave 10 amazing series, you my good sir have amazing taste
Thanks bud!
I've only seen Evangelion out of this list, now i feel like a f*cking casual
This list is bias though so don't feel bad
@@Lubble- Grow up, stop getting pissy about other peoples opinions.
@@upshitdownshit4200 lol what a snowflake XD I don't care for his opinion I just said it was bias :P learn to read kid
@@upshitdownshit4200 blaahh blahh blaahh well if I'm 12 as you say then I don't care XP you're the bitch who cared enough to reply to my throwaway comment so you must not have anything better to do, also emoticons will always be around so get over it, anymore pointless things you want to say??

Honorable Mentions go to Legend of the Galactic Heroes and Mushishi which are 2 series that sometimes go into my top 10 when I feel like it.
Keten Zima Fucking amazing list. My top ten is very similar to yours.
Keten Zima Love the list.
My list says, "Thank you".
Keten Zima It seems like most top 10 lists are some mix of a few ABe, a few Yuasa, probably a Gainax, a really solid film or to, and then some other personal entry or two, and deservedly so.
Keten Zima Thanks bud! & nice list :) Millennium Actress is definitely one of the top anime movies.
My top 10:
10. Konosuba
9. Dragonball
8. Your Lie in April
7. Cowboy Bebop
6. Gurren Lagann
5. Kill la Kill
4. Death Note
3. Code Geass
2. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
1. Psycho Pass
Fuck ya konusuba
Your lie in April, I love that one so much!
OMG where is Aria in this comment section!! imma cry, is there no hope for anime community?!
+opzero I know that feel, Aria is extremely underrated for certain people only because it has Moe vibes. Its one of the best SOL ever made.
Don't worry. I love Aria and think it's amazing. Definitely the the best slice of life I've watched.
Meh. It's okay but top 5 all time? No way in hell lol
sharebear421 Ikr... should be ateast top 3.
Now out of jokes.. If you don't think Aria is "Meh. It's Okay" you obviously didn't get fully what Aria is or you're simply not into that kind of series.(Which i don't get why because what Aria did is to take slice of life to a new level)
My top 10.
10. Welcome to the NHK
9. Black Lagoon
8. Steins; Gate
7. Code Geass (R2 almost had it off this list, but the ending was made up for it)
6. Bacanno!
5. Cowboy Bebop
4. Naruto (there goes my credibility lmfao)
3. Clannad (just after story)
2. Fate/Zero
1.FullMetal Alchemist (Original and Brotherhood tied)
I've only seen 52 series so this list isn't that credible.
Finally someone mentioned Code Geass! And yes without the ending, this anime would never be in my all time faves.
WATCH GURREN LAGANN
+Azaan Irshad I have already, about two years ago actually. I enjoyed it a lot, but it just doesn't make it into my top 10.
+Azaan Irshad if you like GURREN LAGANN the you also like Chrome Shelled Regios

you are a god among men, my dude. Finally someone recognizes Ping Pong for the masterpiece that it is.

#1 (huh, this is tough, I'm an indecisive kind of person...) Ao No Exorcist (I devoured this anime, literally)

+RiastuSama Blue Exorcist? Wow haha this is the first time I'm seeing that on the #1 spot. Kinda surprising. :D
Miriai Niki over death note had me rolling!

Shinichi Mechazawa ...
because he wouldnt get as many views or comments if he did. people love to argue about it and if you say they are just your favorites then people know that you arent trying to argue it.
My top 10 list has been in kind of a ballistic state. I've been watching a bunch of really excellent animes as of late and I'm having trouble evaluating them in relation to each other. My list might be more solid in the future once I've gotten through some of these amazing series.

+Carl Ledger HotD and HDXD do what they set out to do quite expertly, they are no top10 material, but they don't really work as a troll either.

"This is bait for sure lol"
I'd have called you out for stating the obvious.. but apparently some people here missed the obvious. I guess the name "Memeo" with some idiotic profile pic was too subtle a hint.
Neenjah Rammus yea ppl can't detect sarcasm on the internet sometimes
I mean, I feel you man, my favorite anime consist of Toy Story, Cory in the House, airplane instructional videos from the '80s, Seinfeld.
If you want anime Similar to this I have a whole list I'm not trying to brag just trying to help

20. Witchblade
21. Attack on Titan
These are only my favorite picks. ^^
I've seen a majority of these shows and loved them. I haven't come up with my top ten yet but I imagine it would be similar to this. LOTGH is GOAT.
I wish i could disprove that statement but i am by no means able to.
Seizon Senryaku!! Watch it. Its lives up to its hype.
But are you truly worthy of that name and picture?! DO YOU LIVE UP TO THE GREAT YANG WENLI HIMSELF?!!
TheUndefeatedMagician I did.
I just meant that i can't disprove that Statement not because i didn't watch it rather due to how amazing it is at everything it does.
TheUndefeatedMagician LoGH is the greatest *thing* of all time
As you asked:
10. Haruhi Suzumiya (series and movie)
9.Texhnolyze
8.FLCL
7.Spice and Wolf
6.Blue Submarine No.6
5. Cowboy Bebop
4.Serial Experiments Lain
3.Black Lagoon
2.Ghost in the Shell (entire franchise)
1.Ergo Proxy
NGL - I am a modern anime pleb. I'm still fairly new to anime as a whole, but yeah. \o/
1. Steins;Gate: Mind-blowing, a good mix of well-placed humor and serious, dramatic themes. Favorite song: "The Time-Governing Twelve Covenants"
2. Death Parade: It almost felt cruelly bittersweet, and one you could really get invested in due to its conflicting values and morals. Favorite song: "Flyers"
3. Erased: A very blunt, dark anime; very original
Other I Have Seen:
- Attack on Titan: The music is fantastic, along with the animation; the characters are a bit over-the-top. I really dig dramatic, dark themes, so, ya know. Favorite song is "Vogal im Kafig"
- Tokyo Ghoul: Yes, I know it doesn't really follow the manga, but I still really enjoyed the concept (and watching Kaneki's estranged character development; geez, he is messed up). Favorite song is "Glassy Sky"
- Death Note (partially): I couldn't really stay attached to it, think I got to episode 7? But MAN, what I saw was twisted and insane right from the beginning.
- Shokugeki no Soma: Light-hearted, more of just for fun tbh. I liked how dramatic it was despite the fact that it was not life-or-death
- Your Lie in April: Absolutely beautiful, I binged it and finished it sobbing at 8AM. It would probably be #4
- Sword Art Online: Sort of a guilty pleasure anime; I ADORE the world-building and lore, but the characters and relationships are pretty weak
- Owari No Seraph: Again, really over-the-top, dramatic, a tad bit unrealistic; kind of like SAO but flipped, where I really enjoyed the characters but not so much the world
- RWBY (if you count it as an anime): Really takes the stage with its creativity, action sequences and animation (especially in Volume 4). Kind of biased towards it tbh. Favorite song is "Armed and Ready" or "Mirror Mirror Part II"
- Yuri!!! On Ice: Another one that was more just for fun, very entertaining, I loved watching the various and sometimes dramatic stories and scenarios behind each routine.
1. Naruto Shippuden, 2. Bleach, 3. Black Bullet, 4. Assassination Classroom, 5. Sword Art Online, 6. Akame Ga Kill, 7, Code Geass, 8. Death Note, 9, Fairy Tail, 10. Koreha Zombie Desuka.
Rentaro Uchiha Godly Taste :D
Cookie Johnny Arigato :) ^_^
DOMO ARIGATO GOZAIMASU :D
Very good list. You also justified your choices very nicely. This is what top 10 lists should be, not just a bunch of clips with the title of the anime and it's position

+warriorkittyt have you seen Trigun or Durarara? I actually like alot of your picks and just wanted to recommend some more!
Oh, thank you! I have seen 1 episode of Trigun (still got to work on that show) and I am currently in the second season of Durarara and am enjoying it.
1. Cowboy Bebop
2. Neon Genesis Evangelion (+EoE)
3. Hunter x Hunter 2011
4. FMA brotherhood
5. Katanagatari
6. The Tatami Galaxy
7. FLCL
8. Mushishi
9. Nichijou
10. Steins Gate
1) Gungrave
2) Steins; Gate
3) Monster
4) Claymore
5) Ergo Proxy
6) Attack on Titan
7) Parasyte
8) Ghost in the Shell
9) Cowboy Bebop
10) Death Note
Gungrave is the best series I've seen. Any recommendations for me? I haven't seen many others.
1. Attack on Titan
2. One Piece
3. Hunter x Hunter (2011)
4. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
5. Naruto Shippuden
6. Demon Slayer
7. The Promised Neverland
8. One Punch Man
9. Black Clover
Btw, this list excludes long running series, OVAs, and movies because making a list with all of those would be way too difficult for me.
1)Serial Experiments Lain
2) Eureka Seven
3)RahXephon
4)Evangelion
5)Your Lie In April
6) FLCL
7)From The New World
8)Trigun
9)Cowboy Bebop
10) Cory in the house

5. Level E

***** ?
Level E? I'm surprised is it your favourite Togashi work? I wanna watch Level E as I loved YYH and HxH. I saw FLCL and it was really good imo.
+Dat-Dude-Is-An-Arcade-Syk0 He is a fantastic writer. And I'm use to hiatuses being a Kentaro Miura fan.

perhaps CITH was such a good anime, it belongs on its own separate list.

Karl Mueller did you watch code geass??.. is better than guilty crown in many ways.. sorry for my english
+Ferenc Szaffenauer digi, is that you?
Mr. MeeSeeks Shit you blew my cover.
Ferenc Szaffenauer
Nobody shit-talk Evangelion? I didnt even watched that show, and I know how split people are about it.
Mushishi is over-rated, people say it's *deep* when is just *mature*.
Being mature isnt inherently good by the way, just as being childish isnt inherently bad.

Interesting list, thank goodness it didn't have the common crap that most do, at least 3 of these I have not seen and will put on my to watch list.
It would be so hard for me to compile a list like this...
1.One piece

3.fullmetal alchemy brotherhood
4.attak on titans
5.Naruto
6.Sailor Moon
7. Red Baron
8.fairy tale

10.samurai

+Paul Staker you mean like it's the best or that it sucks?
PinkDealer 0 is above 1. Guess ; )
+Paul Staker Pretty solid list of movies. You can also check out Time of Eve and Metropolis if you haven't watched them yet. It's strange how highly I think of EoE since I have a different opinion on the TV Series.
Belphegor
Seen both. Good stuff.
What is your opinion on the series?
*Gendou pose ON*
Paul Staker It's not a bad series. But when its fans gave too much meaning to something that isn't supposed to mean anything it turned into something akin to religion.

wow i must say, all the shows you have just listed i have not seen ! thank you that was immensely helpful :D
***** No problem buddy! Thanks for watching :)
My favorite anime is Space Dandy
How weak///
+Retro Sage Why?
I agree Space Dandy has well drawn animation, but when it comes to narrative and story that it turns average. I don't hate I just can't say its that great. You should try watch COWBOY BEBOP because its more serious with its themes
If he enjoys space dandy what makes you think he'd prefer a serious anime?
yeah, because he overrates an anime(Space Dandy) that doesn't take its premise seriously
Dude between your top 10 90's animes and Ergo Proxy showing up in your top 10 all time favorite animes, you earned yourself the top spot in my anime reviewer list :p
Clebardman Thanks bud :)
AnimeEveryday I really like your style. No face cam, you're not trying to be funny or anything, you're not reviewing shitty stuff for the lulz, you're not spoiling anything. It's just straight to the point and damn, it is efficient. My credit card will probably melt in the near future :p.
Is it just me, or is this list a bit generic in terms of critical acclaim?
***** Yeah.
It has all the psychological and cyber punk in them. From watching his videos I guessed 8 out of 10, I was surprised Paranoia agent and Lain didn't make the cut but the ones already there are pretty amazing
***** Like...it needed to be more hipster? Kaiba is a pretty obscure one.
With Lain i was almost sure it would make the list but it didn't happen.
Seizon Senryaku!! I was very shocked that he didn't say Lain after having Haibane Renmei and Texhnolyze back to back.
Just stumbled upon your channel. All I can say is your top 10 is by FAR the best top 10. Although everyone has different taste and opinions you did a wonderful job justifying the spots for each anime.

I love Ergo Proxy. It's brought up far too rarely. My all-time favorite has to be Cowboy Bebop, though. I've never felt so deeply invested in the core characters of any other show (plus the music is amazing).
