For as hyped up tucks is props to Jerry cuz his solo over this song was euphoric. Tucks is too much bluesy, he's not silly enough ✌🏽

    • @steinbauge4591

Wow, this nails the essence of the dead pretty much in 1 word. Now that euphoria was gone by 1980 - whatever problems there were with Donna/Keith they helped keeping those hippie good vibes, Brent was not exactly better for the vibe of GD. I guess its all unavoidably more correct today.

I've heard Bobby talk about this. He says that each time he plays a song it evolves as a new creature and it manifests itself however it must. I agree it seemed to take the band by surprise and happened just in time for Susan's verse. But Susan delivered the vocals in a way that pleased the creature the song had become.

Bob showing how to inject individual character into blues vocals. Derek's ol' lady needs to learn this so she doesn't sound so obviously derivative.

I'm sorry, I'm sure Bob Weir is a wonderful musician in his own right but you are out of it if you insult the quality of musicianship that Susan Tedeschi or the rest of this band has, especially over Bob Weir.

No white man can sound like a black man. Its a nasal thing. But nice try. What this group needs is more energy. It needs that raw driving sound and if you've ever heard it you know exactly what I mean.
