Hey Jay, Don’t sell yourself short. I’m a people and you’ve taught me a ton already; and I just discovered your channel. 🙏
I am stuck in intermediate land. This helps a ton and is super fun!
I hear you Ben. Been stuck there a while myself. I just found Jay’s channel. Sounds like he’s inspiring a lot of us to work harder. See ya at the Grammys!
Yes dude, don’t think you’re wasting your time. Very good lesson and well given.. thanks
1 incredible player with feeling
Of course a grate guitar player...i heard a guy say as a hole most musicians tend sound very similar.."We built a large house but no one lives inside." Well Jays house is packed...true to His sound..thanks for the lesson.
That guitar just sounds great.
Just randomly came across you today.......Loved this lesson........Don't say you not a guitar teacher!! Really well explained and demonstrated.
i watched two videos and subscribed. fastest subscription ever. then, i find you showing me what you did with walking blues. thank you for this primer in slide guitar. our standing!
Absolutely fantastic, I can feel your blues all the way in the USA. Subscribed!
Cant believe you are sharing this with us!! SO THANKFUL!
It’s my pleasure mate! I hope you get some things out of it!
Subbed!! I sppreciation as new and valid expression of the blues! Keep the Blues Train rolling.
WAY COOL 😳😊 - I have been playing many years - but have never learned any slide - YOU have now definitely inspired me to break out my glass slide and give it a try - many thanks for this RUclips lesson - GREAT JAM RUN 👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😊😊😊✌️✌️✌️
Absolutely AWESOME. I'm now a subscriber. I don't know if you'll read this, but I'm hoping to confirm that you are an Aussie from Victoria. I lived in Tasmania and Victoria back in 1980 and 81. Your accent sounds like it is from Victoria, but I could be wrong since it has been a long time since I lived in Australia. I used to be able to tell the difference between an accent from all six states. You ROCK!!!!
Great playing
My small thanks to you big heart ❤️ thank you sir

Jay you are awesome
Thanks Jeff! I'm glad you like it
@@JayHowieMusicOfficial u are an awesome unique musician and I love your playing style
inspirational, ty, just starting ;)
Keep it up mate! I have some other lessons from many years ago about playing Blues. Check them out if you get a chance. They are a bit more of a primer.
9:24 I thought that was the fun stuff 🥺
Dude, this is great! came across a few of your covers (you kinda make them yours with your style...) and subscribed. learning the blues and slide and doin' it by feel. think that's why you caught my attention. I'm blind so lots of working out what various teachers are doing when they say something like, "ok, I'll zoom in so you can see the shape....". for the cight dependent I guess. if it works for you, would be grateful if you'd consider that some players like me are learning without vision, maybe a bit more description of what you're doing and where on the fretboard. I really appreciate your playing and passion for the music and trying to learn your tricks. little extra description would be greatly appreciated! thanks man. Billy Blue
Billy Spiry - Man, your message just touched me. I have an ecommerce website that deals with specialty products and have been working through the alt tags recently and this comment you left just made me want to continue cleaning up the alt tags even more. Not only that, but I also want to make it as blind friendly as possible so I'm looking at other ways to do that as well. If you read this, please email me at sburkett@avangc.com so I can get some advice on how to improve the website and make it more friendly for blind users. On another note, I checked your videos out and you play a mean harmonica and inspired me to get one and learn it too. keep on rocking the blues.

@@shawnburkett3493 hey buddy I’ll be happy to talk with you. Look for an email for me. Thanks
Do you think it's better to use a soft pick?I have a 0.53 and I play groove better with it than with a hard one.
I'll answer for myself, hard is better, I just tried it myself. :D
Man 👏👏👏👏
Glad you enjoyed the lesson mate! I am planning to do more so stayed tuned!!
Where are you from?
I’m from Australia mate. Bendigo victoria
Dayum,, I think my guitar is broke,,, it just does not sound like your guitar.... :>(
You have to recharge the fluorocarbons regularly. Your welcome 😉
To far away to see wat ur playing.
Came here for a walkin blues tutorial and you're not even showing us how to play it lol change the caption
It’s a tutorial on this version
ruclips.net/video/jDPNBE4xCgo/видео.html
And as I say in the video, I don’t play it the same every time so I am only giving the ideas behind the slide work and not the note for note transcription.
Mr Jay found more of your vids and this vid of the walking man blues and the slide this is what i have been trying too put together for a long time and seen other vid lesson but it just didn't fit but this does Thank You
No problem Larry!
Thanks
I’ve played for a long time but never used open tuning today I have learned a lot thank you 😊
