I’ve learned more in the two lessons I have watched from you than thousands of others going down the RUclips rat hole. Thanks
I like your teaching style very much. And you have humility. Very important..thanks.
Awesome tips. More on mixing minor and major pentatonic please. Thanks.
rare to find people around today that take the time to help others out that are struggling like me ha , thanks for a great vid Jay. subbed. there are many on here that i believe do try to do this but just leave your head spinning.
Love your sound Jay, please keep the lessons coming!!!
Jay, thank you for sharing some of your approaches to making playing richer and more interesting. Yes! More on mixing minor/major tones. C
heers!
Yes more please, great info from an obvious talented and
humble guitar player whose inspiration knows no boundaries !
Thanks for making the video. I'm listening to your original music.
This is a great lesson for beginners to intermediate guitarists. Thanks for doing this.
So this is the second video I've heard from you . First was all along the watchtower . Smokin .... Expand and do more on all these topics bro . Love what you do . I've been at it for decades and I love some of the subtle combo of scales you do for lead licks . The acoustic adds such a nice blend . Just keep doing lots of these . Cheers mate ... My dad was a lime . lol close enough for down under .
Im in very easy to relate to how you teach an show the little things that make it sound so much better thanks will be watching more
Anything you have to share is great. Thanks for the help.
Enjoying your artistry. Please, do post these types of help for other musicians to keep the world going round. Great Job!
Mate, that was very informative. Definitely a game changer and you explain it very well. Thanks
Thanks for the lesson mate, I'll have a strum today and put it to practice.
Howzit Jeff, just by luck, I discovered you two days ago, so I'm a bnf (brand new fan). Always gravitated to soulful blues artists. Not too many like minded artists these days. People have already asked me who I was listening to, I definitely shared some of your vids. Please keep it going! I have been trying to get mixing minor and major pentatonics for a while, now I know I need to keep working on it. I need to get more familiar with major pentatonics. Thanks Jeff, Aloha!
Great tips bud very nice sound when incorporated with other songs great lesson.
Great lesson, opened my eyes to the blues.:)
Great lesson, thanks.
Jay, create a program and sell it, Dude many people want to be able to play in this style you seem to have created.
Dude that was extremely helpful. Your intuitive/demonstrative style of teaching is perfect for me.
You should make more lessons, maybe even a full course.
Just the part about using open strings just opened up the entire neck to me by practicing all the pentatonic shapes and adding open strings between the string switches. I just went from being stuck in boxes to breaking out vertically AND horizontally.
I'm gonna have to work on the major and minor thing though. that's a bit confusing to me. It would be great if you made a more in depth video on that as well.
That’s awesome mate! I’m super glad you got something out of it. Using open strings really opens up some cool possibilities. And if you’re struggling to get out of the box shapes, then you should take a look at the horizontal pentatonic. Basically just taking fragments from each box to move up the neck. Super useful.
I'm subscribed, i wanna see more videos. Thank you!
Great lesson Jay !
Your honesty is refreshing.
Thanks mate! I hope I could pass something onto you with this lesson
Great Video Jay, I would love to see a video on using open strings. Thanks
No worries mate! I can definitely do a video on using open strings.
Good on ya mate, love your work. I would love to see little more with the major minor mixing, howabout a video about that but utilising those opens. Thanks mate for helping me on my blues playing journey very appreciative.
I can definitely do that mate. Mixing major and minor adds a lot of flavour.
More tips! Thank you sir!😊
Great lesson! 👍
Great Vid Jay, very helpful!
The Real Gordman Thanks mate! I hope it helps your playing!
Keep it lit ..best wishes from lreland... ..left handed...Mr jay Howie 💞💌✌️
I watch you and want to do what you do. Thank you so much
Great stuff!
That's awesome my man it's great to see someone taking the time to share those Lloyd Spiegel style licks I've been listening to you for some time now tell me where are U from Australia yes but which state
Hey Mick! Lloyd is one hell of a player and a huge influence on me. I am from Bendigo in Victoria mate.
Awesome stuff Howie!
Thanks!
Thanks again Jay for another great lesson!
Suggestion/request for other lesson(s):
Could you discuss how to improve at playing and singing together? I find that I can get some of the guitar work going reasonably well, but when I try to sing the timing is hard to match and gets off. Any tips or is it just all a matter of practice?
Also, could you go over your home setup with the recording program etc.
And I would also appreciate it if you could do one on using the looper and stomp box.
Great stuff and love your style of playing and teaching!
Thanks again

Hi Jay, @12:40 you were suggesting that you could go bit deeper into that topic of mixing minor/mjor scales ... I wander if your offer is still open ? I looked around your sight and cant seen any follow up on that since the time you suggested it ? Thanks.. New fan from UK :)
Hey mate! Yeah I can definitely delve a bit deeper into that. I am actually in the process of expanding on all those ideas and am currently working on utilising open strings. Mixing major and minor are next on the list.
Do you tune to open g on crossroads
Yup
need more volume on your vidios thanks!!
Can you synthesize in a short text?
Hi mate! I have got the transcript of the video so I will try to work out how to set it up so that there are subtitles for you.
Thanks Jay
You forgot the magic dust you dip you fingers in.
Smoke and mirrors my friend
First thing…..get rid of the acoustic!
