For those of you who don’t get the ending, she actually fought the Elite 4 twice. The fist time, she lost half her team early on to Bertha, but chat let her redo it in a poll and instead of saying what literally happened, she decided to portray it as some sort of alternate dimension thing in this video
Cheers man, without this context the video sections with the split is just a bunch of build up with no climax or resolution, which looks cool, but feels uneventful to sit through. I appreciate your clarification.

The whole alternate dimension thing was a reference to how she originally lost to the Elite Four and Cynthia, but she asked the chat if she should try again or stop the playthrough and she won the second time which is why she still considers it a loss.
@Criss Poyner The difference there is that TFS were called out for trying to hide it via editing and only after a LOT of their fans called them out on this (as from the looks of things they just wanted to bury it and move on without even addressing it). If the fans hadn't caught on and called them out, then they wouldn't have come clean and none of that "alternative timeline" would be seen by anyone. Whereas in case of Jaiden, she lost on stream in front of her audience, the chat decided that she should continue anyways (I guess since it was her birthday or something) and even when she won, she STILL didn't consider it a true win.
So she didn't lose the whole team only half, but knowing she couldn't win she ask chat if she could redo it, who said yes because it was her birthday

For those who didn't watch the stream, jaiden actually lost her first attempt at elite four. Her Togekiss died to a crit stone edge against aaron's Heracross. and her Quagsire and Garchomp got really unlucky against bertha's Rhyperior. Since the rest of her team was weak against flint's team, she gave up. However, since the reason for her losing was extremely unlucky and not mistakes on her part, she did a poll asking if she could retry elite four. 70% said yes, so she did it again. She won, but it was hollow. "Alternative timeline jaiden" was her, when she lost on the first attempt

Platinum and gen 4 games are actually some of the hardest pokemon games to nuzlock. Mostly due to how crits are determined in the game and that some of the hardest battles in the game have moves that abuse the crit chance.

The reason she wanted Yanma is because its evolution, Yanmega, is really good. It's fast, super strong, and both of its abilities are great, whether it be speed boost, which ups its speed every turn, allowing to outspeed basically everything after one turn of being out, or tinted lens, which basically just nullifies resistances.

In all honesty though she played this nuzlocke REALLY well, including sacking the Onix and Shinx. She had some massive brain plays and decent planning, though she got obliterated by crits. Happens to the best of us, but hey, it was a good video.
