Fun fact: That whole Giratina sequence playing into the ending was referring to the fact that Jaiden actually lost the Nuzlocke midway through the Elite 4 and had to retry it. The way she implemented it into the video was simply stunning.

How quickly I was able to get attached to her Pokemon even though they weren't mine. Prime examples definetly include Chad and Blubby from Ruby and Oops from Platinum. I caught and used my own Quagsire named Oops inspired by Jaidens on my team when I replayed Sword. Carried me throughout the whole game. Never I mean never underestimate a Quagsire 👊🎉
I’d like to clarify this, Jaiden lost on the Elite Four on her first attempt. Colgate died to Aaron, explaining the distorted visions, and Oops and Flakes died to Bertha’s Ryperior, which once again we saw Ryperior holding their corpses in the distorted vision. From there Jaiden knew she couldn’t beat the rest and gave up. However the chat let her try again and she agreed but she wouldn’t count it as a win and the following is the Elite Four in the video. So when Jaiden gets torn into two by Giritina in the distortion world the copy of Jaiden that fell is the one that lost the Nuzlocke.
She didn't give up immediately, she held the vote, but still attempted to fight Flint, even though she had no chance, by the time the fight was over, the poll results said to give her another chance, because she was making a video, and her birthday was in the following week, so they wanted to give her a shot at a happy ending. But, guilt is a powerful thing, and inspired that amazing story-beat in the video.
The funniest thing about Jaiden failing the Gible encounter is that she specifically caught all of the other pokemon that live in that cave before she went there so she could use the dupes clause to catch it.
Not rng. If your screaming "don't crit dont crit dont crit" during a catch encounter your doing it wrong. She knew a crit would kill it. She should've weaken it with other Pokemon and not her starter.
@@reur3965 it does get dragon rage, but if the onix was on the team its a great option because of its low attack and high hp, to weaken a gible and live one or two dragon rages. It's all going to be luck based because of rolls and the chance that the A.I will choose dragon rage, but she doesn't seem to unwilling to sacrifice other Pokémon up until this point so the ohko seems pretty avoidable in retrospect tbh.
The way she wrote her failed first attempt into the script as a distortion world event is just brilliant beyond brilliant. Chat voted for her to have a do over since it was her Birthday and I expected the animation to turn out good but this was even better than expected

Spoilers btw so when she was streaming she went into the elite 4 under leveled and lost the nezlock and her chat wanted her to try again and she wins so the jaiden that falls off the platform in the distortion world was her first attempt were she lost and the flashes of her pokemon dead is what happened the first time so she treated it like a split reality and I really like how she did that. So I dont think she counts it as a win but yea there's the context.
Jaiden actually wasn't really "underleveled" (most of her mons were 59, start of the elite 4 is like 51 ish and the end gets up to like 62), she just got rekt on crit rng while not accounting for them, but to be fair she probably could've also just set up garchomp with X items and sweep all of the E4 and Cynthia with items.
She lost Togekiss to Heracross, she lost Quagsire and Garchomp to Bertha, and her leftover pokemon weren't good against Flint so the chat let her reset
@@Toches I mean, considering the events, how are you supposed to work around crits that kill the Pokémon outright? Switching doesn't work, that just means someone else dies. Healing wouldn't work because they die in one shot. Even if it doesn't kill the switched in Pokémon, now they have to be healed and then it still doesn't matter. Now any move could kill him after they taken damage. And X items don't work because crits ignore those stat boosts. If the game decides to crit a Pokémon in order to kill it, there isn't anything that can be done unless a Pokémon is immune to the attack. Electric immunity is worthless in the Elite Four and Ground immunity on one Pokémon who can't damage the primary users of Ground type moves back.
@@justinalicea1590 Im not necessarily saying Jaiden was at fault, but i am saying that if dying to crit is the only thing that can ruin the run, precautions CAN be made to prevent it (leveling further, choosing different mon's cuz she had like 25 in the box and had chancey, which can survive like EVERYTHING, setting up X defend/ sp. defends), options CAN be taken to prevent death to the 5% crit chance
It does for me especially. My sister brought over her nervous wreck of a Dog to my house for the weekend. Apparently the stress was too strong and he started to vomit till he started vomiting blood. They took him back to their house while my sister stayed with me. He died yesterday. I felt so guilty because he died from the stress of being at my place. He was only 2 years old

@@archerwolf824 No not really, lots of folks use a program called "Universal Pokemon Randomizer" and that has an option to change trade only evolutions to Evolve at 'x' level when holding the item you normally need to trade them with. Lots of folks use this option since those Evos are basically locked out otherwise on the older games.

Ok, for the people confused about the two Jaidens, the creepy and disturbing scenes and the "I didnt deserve this" mentality: Jaiden actually lost this Nuzlocke. What happened was, in the first Elite 4 battle against Aaron, his Heracross hit Colgate the Togekiss with Stone Edge, and it was a critical hit, so Togekiss died. In the next fight, Bertha's Rhyperior got a critical hit Earthquake on Oops the Quagsire, and hit Flakes the Garchomp with an Avalanche, killing them both. At that point, considering she only had half her team left, all her pokemon were weak to Fire, and the next Elite 4 member was all Fire types, Jaiden felt she had already lost, and did a poll, asking stream viewers if they would rather just have this be the video, or if she should reset to before the Elite 4 and get a second chance. 70% of viewers agreed with letting her reset and try again. She then predictably lost to Flint, tried again, and managed to win this time. So basically, she actually lost to the Elite Four, but the viewers decided to let her bypass the Nuzlocke rules and give her a second chance at the Elite 4 and Champion. Which is why she says she didnt really deserve this win at all, and yeah, technically she lost.

Hey Adrive, just wanted to explain the parallel universes with Giritina: Jaiden actually wiped out in the elite four, but chat let her redo the elite four and she completed it the second time. The reason for the flashbacks is that she said that she would do something special for the animation. The reason for the dark flashbacks is that those were the realities for the first attempt. they let her reset because it was her birthday and the bs crits, and that could be considered "cheating" since traditionally you restart, but end game is the animation and she still counts it as a loss.
For those wondering about the "Alternate Tiimeline", Jaiden actually failed during the E4 in the first go. Because it was her birthday stream, she decided to go at it again and won.
Hey adrive, just letting you know that the reason that in the distortion world, she was in two and that in the elite 4 she kept having flashbacks is bescause at the end of the elite 4, her team got swept, so her twitch chat continued breaking one of the official rules. That’s why it was all trippy and flash backy.
Just an FYI jaiden did some livestreams on twitch for this vid. When giratina ripped her into two, and when she was talking about the alternative universe she was talking about when she lost the elite four the first time. Then we did a pole of if she can redo the elite four. Most of us said yes so this is why you saw glimpses of her dead Pokémon.

I think the story of the alternate timeline is that jaidens luck with the elite 4 was terrible and she reset the game to redo the elite 4 and she feels as if without resetting she wouldn't have won.

Not sure if you know the context, but it's actually really well done imo. Jaiden actually lost her first run due to some brutal crit luck in the Elite 4. Togekiss was I believe 1 shot by a Stone Edge from Aaron's Heracross and Garchomp and Quagsire were destroyed by Bertha's Rhyperior. This left her team of only Torterra, Magnazone, and Scizor extremely vulnerable to Flint, so she gave up. But she put up a poll because she didn't want the video to end on such a sour and disappointing note, and most of the votes gave her a redo. So, those flashing images throughout the ending segment and "Alternate Jaiden" created by Giratina, were made to represent her first run, in a rather dark way. However, even though she won this run, she still feels it to be a hollow victory, which is why the video got really dark and kind of emotional towards the end. Really well done intergration. Again, not sure if you already know the context, just thought I'd provide it lol

Spoilers: A similar thing happened to me. I was doing a no items in battle nuzlocke and I went into Leon but forgot his dragapult knew thunderbolt which crit my gyrados and his haxors took out 3 other pokemon on my team( I don't remember them all it was a while ago). His Charizard finished me and I decided to restart the fight and won. It felt better than just restarting but it still felt hollow and undeserved.

Actually, when fighting Cyrus in Distortion World, Milk actually missed multiple thunders after the Gyarados (the one with earthquake) Btw, Giratina didn't split Jaiden in half in Distortion World, but Jaiden actually split herself before the e4 (notice the glitch effects only start at e4), as a birthday gift... Bertha's Rhyperior holding Oops and Flakes in its claws actually represented the other timeline, where it killed them, and with only Turt, See and Shrimp, Jaiden couldn't do much against Flint, everyone died, and she lost. If she would have started this nuzlocke just a little bit later, this video wouldn't have featured Shrimp, See, Flakes, Failure, Kronk and Milk, and Jaiden wouldn't have been split in two...

Jaiden actually wasn't really "underleveled" (most of her mons were 59, start of the elite 4 is like 51 ish and the end gets up to like 62), she just got rekt on crit rng while not accounting for them, but to be fair she probably could've also just set up garchomp with X items and sweep all of the E4 and Cynthia with items.
She lost Togekiss to Heracross, she lost Quagsire and Garchomp to Bertha, and her leftover pokemon weren't good against Flint so the chat let her reset
@@Toches I mean, considering the events, how are you supposed to work around crits that kill the Pokémon outright? Switching doesn't work, that just means someone else dies. Healing wouldn't work because they die in one shot. Even if it doesn't kill the switched in Pokémon, now they have to be healed and then it still doesn't matter. Now any move could kill him after they taken damage. And X items don't work because crits ignore those stat boosts. If the game decides to crit a Pokémon in order to kill it, there isn't anything that can be done unless a Pokémon is immune to the attack. Electric immunity is worthless in the Elite Four and Ground immunity on one Pokémon who can't damage the primary users of Ground type moves back.
@@justinalicea1590 Im not necessarily saying Jaiden was at fault, but i am saying that if dying to crit is the only thing that can ruin the run, precautions CAN be made to prevent it (leveling further, choosing different mon's cuz she had like 25 in the box and had chancey, which can survive like EVERYTHING, setting up X defend/ sp. defends), options CAN be taken to prevent death to the 5% crit chance

@@archerwolf824 No not really, lots of folks use a program called "Universal Pokemon Randomizer" and that has an option to change trade only evolutions to Evolve at 'x' level when holding the item you normally need to trade them with.
Lots of folks use this option since those Evos are basically locked out otherwise on the older games.
@@wr3kandrewwillis635 You do a Nuzlocke to challenge yourself, nothing is illegal because you choose the rules. As long as you stand by your own rules, it's ok. So there is no cheating there.

Ok, for the people confused about the two Jaidens, the creepy and disturbing scenes and the "I didnt deserve this" mentality: Jaiden actually lost this Nuzlocke.
What happened was, in the first Elite 4 battle against Aaron, his Heracross hit Colgate the Togekiss with Stone Edge, and it was a critical hit, so Togekiss died. In the next fight, Bertha's Rhyperior got a critical hit Earthquake on Oops the Quagsire, and hit Flakes the Garchomp with an Avalanche, killing them both.
At that point, considering she only had half her team left, all her pokemon were weak to Fire, and the next Elite 4 member was all Fire types, Jaiden felt she had already lost, and did a poll, asking stream viewers if they would rather just have this be the video, or if she should reset to before the Elite 4 and get a second chance. 70% of viewers agreed with letting her reset and try again.
She then predictably lost to Flint, tried again, and managed to win this time.
So basically, she actually lost to the Elite Four, but the viewers decided to let her bypass the Nuzlocke rules and give her a second chance at the Elite 4 and Champion. Which is why she says she didnt really deserve this win at all, and yeah, technically she lost.
I also heard the fans let that happen cause it was near jaiden’s birthday but idk if that’s true
She only restart once. She didn't lose to flint since she didnt fight him the first time and won the second time since she had her whole team.

Jaiden actually wiped out in the elite four, but chat let her redo the elite four and she completed it the second time. The reason for the flashbacks is that she said that she would do something special for the animation.
The reason for the dark flashbacks is that those were the realities for the first attempt. Togekiss was killed against the first trainer and Bertha rhyperior killed oops and flakes. She then forfeited before flint because she was going into him with three pokemon weak to fire.

Hey adrive, just letting you know that the reason that in the distortion world, she was in two and that in the elite 4 she kept having flashbacks is bescause at the end of the elite 4, her team got swept, so her twitch chat continued breaking one of the official rules. That’s why it was all trippy and flash backy.

Just an FYI jaiden did some livestreams on twitch for this vid. When giratina ripped her into two, and when she was talking about the alternative universe she was talking about when she lost the elite four the first time. Then we did a pole of if she can redo the elite four. Most of us said yes so this is why you saw glimpses of her dead Pokémon.

I think the story of the alternate timeline is that jaidens luck with the elite 4 was terrible and she reset the game to redo the elite 4 and she feels as if without resetting she wouldn't have won.

Not sure if you know the context, but it's actually really well done imo. Jaiden actually lost her first run due to some brutal crit luck in the Elite 4. Togekiss was I believe 1 shot by a Stone Edge from Aaron's Heracross and Garchomp and Quagsire were destroyed by Bertha's Rhyperior. This left her team of only Torterra, Magnazone, and Scizor extremely vulnerable to Flint, so she gave up. But she put up a poll because she didn't want the video to end on such a sour and disappointing note, and most of the votes gave her a redo. So, those flashing images throughout the ending segment and "Alternate Jaiden" created by Giratina, were made to represent her first run, in a rather dark way. However, even though she won this run, she still feels it to be a hollow victory, which is why the video got really dark and kind of emotional towards the end. Really well done intergration. Again, not sure if you already know the context, just thought I'd provide it lol

Spoilers: A similar thing happened to me. I was doing a no items in battle nuzlocke and I went into Leon but forgot his dragapult knew thunderbolt which crit my gyrados and his haxors took out 3 other pokemon on my team( I don't remember them all it was a while ago). His Charizard finished me and I decided to restart the fight and won. It felt better than just restarting but it still felt hollow and undeserved.

Btw, Giratina didn't split Jaiden in half in Distortion World, but Jaiden actually split herself before the e4 (notice the glitch effects only start at e4), as a birthday gift...
Bertha's Rhyperior holding Oops and Flakes in its claws actually represented the other timeline, where it killed them, and with only Turt, See and Shrimp, Jaiden couldn't do much against Flint, everyone died, and she lost.
If she would have started this nuzlocke just a little bit later, this video wouldn't have featured Shrimp, See, Flakes, Failure, Kronk and Milk, and Jaiden wouldn't have been split in two...
