    In case you miss it, “center lashes” 08, 16, 17, 20 are meant to be worn in the center of the eye, not the outer corners!

    Wow the sheer effort in this video is impeccable! The constant application and removal of false lashes really takes a toll on one’s eyelids. Thanks so much boo ☺️

    Excellently done showcase Candice! Dolly Wink make my favourite false lashes at the moment, certainly in this price bracket. What I look for is a very thin band. This is why I've stopped wearing the DUP lashes; their bands are just too stiff and thick to work with. I'm with you here, 3/4 half strip tapered lashes are BY FAR the most foolproof things to use on a daily basis. Getting ready for work in the morning etc means time is of the essence (we'd all rather sleep in for that extra 15 minutes rather than spend time faffing around with tricky false lash application, right?) Three quarter lashes are quicker to apply and offer the most impactful and natural enhancement to most eye shapes. A full strip is not necessary to get the same look as the inner corner of an eye is just not important when it comes to adding false lashes so why put ourselves through the nightmare of bands that insist on coming unstuck and pinging up stubbornly?! I like this brand and buy it in bulk when in Japan. Thanks Candice and I hope your 2024 is going really well.

    I just tried Diva Volume today and I love it so much. They were very light and funny enough i felt like the glue that came with it was also great for application!

      Really glad you liked it! Yeah the glue they provide is really pretty nice. Strong enough to hold the lightweight lashes without feeling too stiff or strong!

      HAHAHA tell me about it! I remember drooling over their regular lashes but even for the drugstore, they were not cheap... quite premium actually. So happy they finally came out with the "diet" versions, but I wish these were available back when I didn't have much of a budget!

    I always have a problem with my mascara smearing (so I always wear tubing mascara) - would using these be a good alternative to mascara? I haven't tried putting falsies on myself though, is there a steep learning curve? And thank you for taking one for the team and trying out 16 styles!

    • @IamCandiceKC
      @IamCandiceKC  3 года назад

      Hahaha my pleasure Polly! (Though this might have been the longest film session I ever did...) I do find the learning curve for half-strip lashes to be waaaay lower than regular lashes, cos it's one little strip and quite easy to place and adjust it. Half lashes were the first lashes I ever managed to put on properly myself, years ago, so if you're gonna start anywhere, start with halves!
      The most important thing is to use a good glue (the ones included in these kits are good; Revlon and Ardell glues are good too), and allow it to dry down slightly and get tacky before you put the lashes on. That way they don't shift around when you're applying. Usually I'd also suggest wearing a tiny bit of liner or dark shadow along the upper lash line to hide imperfect lash applications, but if the ones you find have invisible bands like these Dolly Wink ones, slight mistakes aren't obvious.

    • @cbgh4637
      @cbgh4637 2 года назад

      Get a new waterproof mascara, mascara smearing is the formula issue. Have you tried 1028 mascara? They are in Watsons now. I dont really prefer falsies because they are hard to blend in with your lash line unless it comes with an invisible eyelash band. And some falsies dont look good with certain eye shapes. It really goes to choosing the right pair suited for your eye shape.

    Do I still need to curl my lash before applying this?

    • @IamCandiceKC
      @IamCandiceKC  2 года назад +1

      Hi Levyn, it depends how curled your own lashes are. if they are quite straight then it's best to curl them so they sort of blend into the falsies a bit. otherwise when someone is very close, they can see 2 sets of lashes (yours and the falsies) pointing in different directions. But only when people are close!

      Hey Leah, thank you for checking in! Really appreciate the thought and hope you and your loved ones are all doing great! I'm very well, just got swamped by several work projects the past few weeks and have not been able to find a good chunk of time to record and edit videos. Hopefully I'll be able to get back to it after this week!
