They are called manga eyelashes because the first comic books to be invented were manga, and they were the ones who invented this type of eyelashes in the style of drawing followed in manga and anime. The Japanese were the first to wear manga and anime style eyelashes, which are a large part of many old Japanese fashions such as Lolita, Gyaru, and Kawaii Fashion. ....and the first to start the trend of manga and anime eyelashes were Japanese cosplayers more than two decades ago
@@شيماءالحميري-ر7ي manhua lashes originate from xhs and douyin, they are essentially a modernized look of the anime lashes. xhs also helped popularizing this style which they took from manhuas
Yes, you are both right. They have two different names. You can call them manhua lashes or manga lashes, but either way, you get the same results. Just search up both on Google or something 🫤
The look first became popular on a Chinese app, and ever since, it has been a trend, so the Chinese and Japanese started it. It was inspired by the long, sharp, lashes of characters in Japanese manga and anime, BUT someone from China started the look.

I recently retired my lash extensions about 4 months ago. I was honestly devastated how many of my real lashes were so much shorter than they've ever been in my entire life. My last artist told me the whole duration of my treatment that my natural lashes wouldn't be damaged at all. That it was just some easy, temporary thing. I felt insecure without my extensions and would get fill-ins pretty much religiously. I quit my job and wanted to get them removed because nobody would be seeing them anyway- and I was so upset to see my lashes were alarmingly thin and short. I felt so ugly. I had never EVER had short lashes my entire life, they're always so long naturally. Even while she was removing them, she was telling me how "long" my lashes still were.. Its been a few months now, it seems like I'm back to normal. I do regret doing this to myself but in a way I'm glad I tried them, I was so curious for years about the hype. I wish my lash artist was more honest with me about what would happen in the long run. I definitely want to try this lash look in the future- and my message here is to tell others PLEASE DONT GET ACTUAL LASH EXTENSIONS! IT ISNT WORTH IT!
this breaks my heart, and i hope your lashes will regrow beautifully! i know it's a bit pricey, but i loved the grandelasd md serum after my religious lash extension experience! my lash tech actually cut my bottom lashes once for some reason and that serum had them grow back longer and thicker than before!
No dear, don’t get the idea of lash extensions wrong 😑 I feel your lash artist is at fault here because she doesn’t know how to lash. If she does she would know the right thing to do in order not to damage the natural lash. Lash extensions is not just hyped it’s worth it. You just need to get a professional to do it for you!
I’m not sure about that, I had lash extensions for about 3 years straight and my lashes were absolutely fine afterwards. Could just be the tech that you went to?
