It’s nice that your lashes are straight, because you are in charge of how much curl you get. Mine curl too much and I’ve never heard of an eyelash straightener.
Smitha, you do NOT have short lashes. They are straight. Once you curl the lashes, you can see how long they actually are. Applying mascara brings them to another length level.
I use a plain spooly I swear by before using the eye lash curler. Separates the lashes perfectly, and puts them in their correct place, so the eyelash curler can do it’s thing properly as eyelashes are all separated beforehand
I’ve been doing same routine for a few years now & it makes a huge difference. For special occasions the only other step I’ll add is before applying my mascara I’ll dip a fluffy brush into my loose face powder and add that to my lashes (then I’ll apply mascara & the rest of the steps). People will ask me if I have on falsies. 💕
Yes after getting the perfect liner, wings and mascara I always used loose translucent powder to set it and then go back over it all again. Makeup looks absolutely flawless and will not move for 24 hours
Another tip if you hate removing waterproof mascara and want to remove your makeup easily: do a very thin layer at the root of your lashes with waterproof mascara and let it completely dry, then continue as you need with a washable mascara and try not to go too much through your roots.
What a great tip. But if you want to remove waterproof mascara, you can also use a balm make up remover, it comes off, very easy, like the one from Juno.😍
Dust your eyelash curler using a small eyeshadow brush with some translucent powder.. dust it all over the curler part and where your lashes touch in the front and back .. then curl your dry lashes again to make them even more long without getting the curler stuck and ripping out your lashes!!! It works so good!!!
Both are gorgeous but I actually prefer the before eye. It shows off the beautiful almond shape of your eyes and looks very elegant as opposed to playful.

I do the same. I have used the blow dryer since I was 19. I’m 62!😂😂😂😂 I used to always use a safety pin as well to separate them. Yes. Yes I did. And never poked my eye. My lashes were long and pretty. Not so much now 😢😊. I also put a light coat mascara then curl again too. I have never Lost any lashes

I hold the lash curler down on my lashes for 20 seconds on both sides twice and apply mascara immediately it works wonders. I don’t crimp lashes by pressing crimper repeatedly, just 20 seconds twice on both
Heating the eyelash curler has been my lash "secret" for years! I used to use a hair dryer but now I use a lighter. Unless I'm traveling and can't fly with a lighter. Then I just use a hairdryer at my destination. You do have to be cautious with heat on the thin skin of eyelids, but as long as you do that, the result is AWESOME! for me, gives me a false lash look.

haha! I Love this hack! When my commute to work was Awful traffic- I began doing my mascara while driving. My natural lashes are petite 😉 stick Straight out (And blonde tips) so Curling makes a Big difference. When the weather got Cold, my curler ( that lives in the car now) needed warming. I would crank up the heat Rest my curler on the vent for a few seconds and Wow! Falsies but better 🎯 I have not yet added the EXtra Pow💥 black liner like you Smitha, I think I'll wait to try that when Not behind the wheel of a car.
I created this look on myself….. I love it!! Thank you! I am playing with styles for my wedding; no one can see to get the hooded lid right I have been to; and honestly my eyes are one of my best features! 💕
I set my eye area with translucent powder to stop the oils from interfering with my eye shadow and mascara. It's oil that interferes with the mascara. I actually use organic olive oil to remove my waterproof mascara. Lol!

I bought a heated eyelash curler from Temu for $3! And it works soooo good too! It actually kept my lashes curled all day long and like many, my lashes normally don't hold a curl with a regular lash curler.

I tried to apply shadow and create cut crease the way you showed in your tutorial and it makes wonder to my hooded eyes and they look stunning. Wish I could find a mascara that is really waterproof and doesn't smudge. After a couple of hours I end up looking like a panda.

I use Maybelline Sky High waterproof mascara and have never had this issue - no special prep required.
