Definitely preferred the show’s version of solider boy, basically takes pieces of the three and took it to be a more grounded and realistic solider type dynamic that is basically the series ultimate wild card now.

I like the boys live action soldier boy played by the actor Jensen Ackles from supernatural better then the comics version. Amazon did a good job with this character.

I like how Jensen captures the mental state of him. It shows that he became what he is because his father disowns him as his son, he's probably the only supe in the show who doesn't put on a show for the public. I'd like to think he's somewhat good based on how he tells Homelander he wishes he could've raised him. Maybe we'll see a Soldier apologizing to Grace Mallory. He was the only one fighting against the enemies.
I was actually legit felt let down when Homelander Killed Noir. I was really hoping to see Noir fight Soldier Boy just to see how it would’ve played out a second time!
I disagree on A-Train. He always makes everything about himself even when he tries to turn good, and finally his brother told him he'd had enough. Its tragic but he really deserved worse

Well the soldier boy of the comic was a fake, along with his payback team, the real ones died on battle while vought used them(fake) as a replacement of the payback team, therefore you see the coward soldier boy in comic. If the real soldier boy survived, Billy might probably have a hard time or he and sb will team up against HL.

I personally feel like soldier boy might be stronger than homelander. His power draining ability is crazy and he defiantly is a better hand to hand combatant. Only reason homelander would maybe win is due to his flight and laser eye abilities.
The boys are beyond stupid and just terrible writing. How can anyone believe something that stupid. The Heros being sent of too war is random and super hard to believe. They know they are not bullet proof. The Hero's know they are not bullet proof. Not a single one of these Hero took a bullet before this. Why would any of them think that was a good idea? Less then basic knowledge and logic is enough to get that but they just glossed over that. Used the word sups as if that made them bullet proof. It didn't and they already knew all of these. Like I just can't believe these people are real adults. For you to make a mistake like this you have to have no knowledge about anything.
OHHHH, so THAT'S how Horikoshi got the inspiration for All Might shouting out state names during every special attack! It was an homage to Soldier Boy 3!

Technically Homelander would be Soldier Boy the 2nd. That, and the show generally has much better writing and more developed characters. If you prefer some of the things about the comic though, that's cool

The way it parodies battles against enemies like Galactus is very interesting, the comics also have as a big advantage the fact that other super teams are explored too. (In the show the only supe team we really have as antagonists are the 7. Not having the others make the seven feel less special)

The Boys is one of, if not the only franchise that's actually better in it's TV rendition than it is in it's original comic book sorce material.
