- Of all the 3D Sonic games, Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 are my personal favorites. And since I’ve already done a video on the first Sonic Adventure, I decided to finish the Adventure series with a video on Sonic Adventure 2. From the many scrapped Chao World features to the abundance of unused voice clips, you’ll surely learn something new!

+Son Goku the best one is when you have the air bottle and figure out how to get into the bottomless chasm in aquatic mine, there's an omochao at the entrance and if you activate it and let him follow you down (do this with rings unless you're an expert at avoiding the spinning maces) and omochao will get caught between the two sets of spinning maces if you do it right, and he'll be stuck in a loop untill you decide to leave the area, there's no other purpose to the area than to use this infinite death omochao glitch

the "dont play tv games longer than an hour" clip reminds me of the "please watch this program in a well lit room and sit at least (xx) meters away from the television screen" messages played before television programs in japan that had to be regulated after the "electric soldier porygon" disaster, it also reminds me of the "take regular breaks and stay hydrated" messages in some early 3ds games and FEA characters telling you that you look tired and should probably rest

There is nothing wrong with using roms, I do not advocate using them if the manufacturer is producing the game currently, but many of these games can not be acquired now, and buying them second hand will not support the company.
Also the shaders and resolution changes you can make with emulators do help alot on the eyes, at least for me. 16/9 HD is nice and some anti-alising helps alot too.

Sonic Adventure 2 was the first game I ever owned that had noticeable glitches. I enjoyed it, though was anyone else bothered that in the final game the characters interrupted each other so much in the cut-scenes? As a kid I thought something was wrong with my disc. I love your videos, I always like learning about these things.

shadow was indeed cool here. Those tribal stripes, those futuristic hover skates, his genre of theme music, his ability to warp from place to place, his backstory, all of it splendid.
19:53 most of these last story dialogues sound similar to the ones on Sonic X.
Can't say these games are absolutely amazing but I still love them because of nostalgia. Definitely a heck of a lot of fun which is what is most important to me. So while I can't say it's technically the best stuff, there were constant small flaws in SA1 and less flaws in SA2 but they glared a lot more. Honestly, I still think they're great games, but not nearly as amazing as everyone hypes them to be.
Still stand as really good games today, but not nearly as good as so many people say. Even I often think them amazing but I know technically they really aren't as good as we think. I think it's all nostalgia.

Actually, Sonic Boom Rise of Lyric was originally going to be called Sonic Synergy, and would have had much more content, along with much better graphics. It’s because they had to fit it for the Wii U last minute that it turned out so badly

@@louiepikmin3184 city escape was actually added back on the gamecube version and later ports, Green Hill however, was never brought back even tho it works perfectly fine if you force the game to select it as a 2p mode level.
I think that it is likely that, when Omochao says "Made in the USA, for our fans!", it was supposed to go on the screen showing the Sega name. What do you think?

Some of the Omochao clips look like unused "you should probably stop playing" clips like when Anna reminds you to take breaks when saving in Fire Emblem: Awakening after playing for a straight hour.

Vlad Velasquez I've played so many AAA titles with clunky camera angles that I don't even notice it, I've gotten pretty good at having the camera as an extra enemy/difficulty setting, I think the design was pretty on point, can't really see how someone in the early 2000's would have made a game that felt more "sonic" than this.

There's someone out there that thinks any game you can think of is bad. It's all in opinions. I know many who love the Adventure games but there are also many who hate one or both.

Yep, the fandom was up in arms. Sucks for the character, but eh, SEGA liked his popularity and decided to keep him around. TBH I probably would've liked him if he stayed dead, but now it's just droves of fanboys and fangirls going on and on about how dark and brooding a character he is where all I can see is a totally unlikely copy of Sonic. :\
lunayoshi This is exactly why my head-canon for the Sonic franchise involves 3 different universes.
First Is the Game Gear timeline that contains all the sonic game gear games and Sonic The Fighters.
Then there's the Sonic Unleashed timeline. It's exactly as it sounds, with just one game there.
Finally, and most importantly, we have the third Genesis/Dreamcast timeline, with Sonic 1, 2, CD, 3 & Knuckles, and Sonic Adventure 1 & 2. Obviously SA2 is the finale in my mind. Makes the ending actually worth a damn and makes Shadow a genuinely good character.
(Everything else that isn't Spinball or Mean Bean Machine doesn't exist. :| )

I never realized the synth solo from City Escape Classic was a reference to the instrumental in the beta. I already knew about the Sonic 3 reference in it, but that just made the remix so much better.

Fun fact: All of those unused conversations between the secretary and president, between Tails and Eggman, and the other characters discussing their belief in Sonic and Shadow actually were used in the JP version of Sonic X - Episode 38, with some slight alteration (Sam Speed being the one to say that dreams should not be given up on).

IMO not including Super Sonic or Super Shadow in 2 player mode in the final game is extremely disappointing. I can't think of a better way to both reward the player for beating the game as well as improve the game's replay value than to let the player use Super Sonic/Shadow in any of the regular levels. The same goes for Sonic Adventure 1.
It just kinda bothers me. :s
What's even more disappointing is when the game is rereleased and they don't include what they originally intended. Atleast You can actually play the real super sonic in SA(DX) for PC. The SA2(B) Using that is a drag and unfortunately equals regular sonic shadow speed but slow because of slopes and crap. All I see is Sonic 06 rereleased with a steamport and nothing originally intended brought back. It doesn't really make sense (especially if 06 gets ported to PC).
