This was Barkley's best chance to get a ring imo.

I hear you. "Mad Max" could definitely light it up! He had a solid series against my Knicks in '94! He was fearless!
I also must say that leading up to the '94 NBA Finals, somebody made a big mistake to write on a NY Times headline, "It's The City That Never Sleeps Against The City That Never Wins". Houston would prevail not once, but twice in a row! I believe that the '94 and '95 Houston Rockets are still the best teams in its franchise history.

0:03 Horry just mentioned the team they couldn't beat

They did beat Seattle in 1997. Plus, the fact that Seattle was out gave them the home court.

He was talking about the Rockets having hca for the rest of the playoffs. Besides this version of the team did matchup well with the Sonics they won 2 out of 4 against them that season the Suns actually were the toughest matchup overall with them being the defending conference champions. The Suns did win the first 2 on the road so they were not an easy matchup at all.

@@KWCline91 You just prove what I was saying they wasn't able to beat them until they acquired Charles Barkley. He was the actually factor that gave them the W in 97' because Seattle couldn't beat the Suns.

@@ChrisM07 I'm talking about the Playoffs dude. Rockets couldn't get pass the Sonics until Sir Charles came along.

@@timhoward5 This version of the Rockets were definitely capable of beating them, Kemp wasn't necessarily consistent against them when Thorpe and Herrera were there to guard him.
Besides Barkley being the one that got the Rockets past them has been hugely overstated anyway. In that series G4 was the only game he was a factor down the stretch as far as scoring G1 was a dominant team win for the Rockets, G3 he had only 3 points in the 4th, and G7 he was scoreless in the last quarter. Kemp also played well usually when matched up with Barkley it was Willis that gave him more trouble.

Those repeat Rockets have to be the luckiest champs of all-time in the NBA

Luck have nothing to do with it. It was great talent and good teamwork.

They admittedly had some luck go their way the 2nd time (Suns collapsed after being up 3-1) but defense was the biggest factor in them winning this one. The Suns were held almost 10 points below their season average this series.
