08' Gators had 5 players run 4.3 & under, including Demps ran a 9.95 100m. Oregon fans are delerious. DeAnthony Thomas would be just another 1 of many top tier ATH's in the SEC. check out Demps 84yrd TD against Kentucky...blazing speed.
The closest you probably would ever see to an Oregon type Offense was when Cam was at Auburn. They were quite similar in that Gene Chizik also had a terrible defensive staff. Luckily he had one of the greatest college players ever. He made a previously unranked Auburn team one of the most feared offenses in the country. Also take into consideration how difficult out of state recruiting is as well. Nick Saban is probably the only coach in the country who can just grab who he wants from anywhere.
@Spider58x And your little list of players from last years Super Bowl proved my point. The Big 10 players were actually out there playing the real football as starting RB, starting WR, starting DB, starting LB's, starting Tackles while the SEC players who were along for the ride on the coattails of the Big 10 and other conferences players were holding clip boards and covering punts and kickoffs.
i like the way florida runs there program thats the way my highschool trains is speed since were smaller than most schools anyways so it really helps to be faster and in better shape then everyone else
Oregon's Tempo is faster but the individual players aren't as nearly as fast as everybody makes them out to be. Compare their 40 times to the 09 Gators, it doesn't even come close. Alabama & LSU has players just as fast if not faster than Oregon, the just don't play in a spread or an up tempo type style to showcase it. The only position where Oregon is undeniably faster is QB. & the BIGGEST difference between 06-09 Florida & Oregon now, is that Oregon is fast but Florida was Fast, Physical, & had one of the BEST defenses in College Football. It's easy to look dominant when the only physical team you have to play is Stanford. Florida was embarrassing Good Physical teams every week. They played FSU, Georgia, SC, LSU, Alabama. I'd love to see Oregon play those teams EVERY Week. Oregon got held to 19pts by one of the Worst SEC defenses in the national championship.
@Spider58x Your talking about just one Super Bowl. I'm talking bigger picture here. Plus my original point was that SEC players get drafted and once NFL coaches get a hold of them they realize they can't play real football so they just go play special teams of carry clipboards or run the scout team. The Big 10, Big 12 and Pac-10 players in the NFL are the QB, RB, WR, linemen, Linebackers, corners and safeties.
@jstebb1 "real football" is played by the Big 10 and Big 12. They run NFL style offenses. The SEC runs the spread, which gives us Tim Tebow and JaMarcus Russel
@Spider58x Even your list that you emailed me proves MY point. Of the 20 SEC players in last years SuperBowl, 12 were practice squad players only who didn't even dress for the game, 5 were special teams players and only 3 were starters (which is a lot of the SEC). The Big 10 players on the other hand had 10 starters in last years Superbowl.
@Spider58x Lets look at the head coaches of the National Champions from the last 10 years shall we? Bob Stoops - Oklahoma. Born in Ohio. Larry Coker- Miami Coached at Ohio State in the early 90's. Jim Tressel - No explanation needed. Nick Saban- LSU and Alabama - Started coaching at Ohio State, Kent State and Mich St. Pete Carroll - USC Coached at Ohio State. Urban Meyer. Born in Ohio. Coached at Ohio State. Les Miles. Born in Ohio. Started coaching at Mich.
Nice check down throw from Bridgewater (MIAMI FLORIDA) to Butler (KISSIMMEE FLORIDA) for the touchdown. Nice little first and goal run for the td by Jeremy Wright (CLERMONT FLORIDA). Nice of them to let a KY native catch one for a score, then throw the same pass to Copeland (BRADENTON FLORIDA) and show him how to do it without falling down. Amazing sack by Pryor (PT ST JOE FLORIDA)...yep Louisville rocks! they really showed those Florida boys how it's done...
Oregon can't hold a candle to this speed...Demps is LITERALLY the fastest football player to ever play college football 9.95 in the 100m? only .2 slower than the WORLD RECORD
@jstebb1 You could not be more wrong. All of the SEC teams play cupcake non-conferance schedules to start the season. That way going into SEC conferance play they are all undefeated and highly ranked. Therefore giving the IMPRESSION that the conferance is strong. For instance,it is a FACT that the Gators have not played a non-conferance game outside of the state of Florida since 1991. In that same time Ohio State has played 18 non-conferance games outside of Ohio.
@ZantheonWOW He was refering to the part when it said "fastest man in the world" refering Jeff Demps. But by the time Demps is 26 or so, he's gonna be up there.
I'm a gator fan but I gotta give this one to Oregon. Yes, you did mention probably THE fastest player in college football last year (olympian silver medalist) along with a whole group of fast gator players but when I watch Oregon they leave no question on who's the fastest TEAM on the field that day. Even when they played an SEC team like Auburn in 2011. However I give the edge to Florida or any high caliber SEC team when it comes to speed and physicality at all 11 positions. go gators!!!
@amp954 actually all short athletes that are fast are usually big because they runs with power...if he was to loose the muscle he has he woudnt be able to propel forward like he does now
@DudeWheresMyBong1991 I will give LSU some credit, the played a real non-conferance schedule this season. But the Gators on the other hand have not played a non-conferance gameoutside of the state of Florida since 1991. Ditto for all the other SEC teams. They all play cupcake Non-Conf schedules. Then that way there are like 9 undefeated SEC teams going into league play. Thereby giving the IMPRESSION that they are the strongest conferance.
@jstebb1 You mean that year when Ohio State was #1 all year and had to play the #2 ranked team in the country 3 times that year? Texas, ranked #2. Michigan, ranked #2. Florida, ranked #2. Iowa, ranked #6.........The Gators walk into the Championship game having defeated the football juggernauts of Southern Mississippi, UCF and Western Carolina by a combined score 138-7.
THATS MY BOYS! GO GATORS IF some don't like it they can kiss my GRITS. I like to brag about my boys the U OF FLORIDA GATORS I'll always be a Gator fan.
deanthony did run a 20.57 in the 200m dash and he runs low 4.2 in the 40..Denard is crazy fast too though..honestly I'd like to see all of them get out there and race
Geez guys calm down, these videos were from the 06 -09 florida gators when they were the FASTEST TEAM IN AMERICA and won a couple of national titles in the process.
@Spider58x Wrong again. The Big 10 produces (led by Ohio State) more total players, more Pro Bowl players and more Hall of Famers than any SEC school. Most SEC players get to the NFL unprepared to play REAL football, so they get sent to the practice squad and special teams while the other non-SEC players do the running, passing, catching, blocking and tackling.
the video is titled " Gator Football - Speed Kills". None of them died. Go FSU, UF, Miami, UCF, Louisville, SFU, FAU... heck, ALL of the Florida teams!
Bob Hayes 1964 gold medal 100m 10.05-ON DIRT track, 9.91 in semi final again on DIRT,i want to see ANY player today run those times on A DIRT TRACK. 1st man to break 6sec for the 60yd dash(5.9)fastest time in NFL's fastest man comp 6.09 ron brown, still has fastest anchor leg on the 4x100m 8.6 AGAIN ON DIRT, that 9.96 from Demps(no disrespect)would be a 10.1-10.2 on the dirt track Hayes ran on 49 years ago AND it was electronic,1964 1st year used in Olympics
you cant really say that because of the year they went to the national championship and played Auburn(who dominated everyone in the SEC) only lost by two... so they can compete
@GatorsDatCHAMPS This is what Tyson Gay tweeted about Demps. "@TysonLGay JEFF DEMPS U DIDINT HAV TO RUN DAT DANG ON FAST DUDE. NOW U JUS SHOWIN OUT FAM!! LOL" Worst case is that Demps & Gay could be half of the US Track & Field relay team. Don't think if but which team they're on (4X400, 4X800)
@Spider58x We can look at anything from players, coaches, and numerous other things to prove the Big 10 superiority. How about instead of playing all the bowl games in your backyards of Miami, Orlando, Tampa, Atlanta, New Orleans, etc we start playing them in Cleveland, Pittsburg, NYC, Green Bay and Chicago in December and January?
@VanellaSchnellaDACRU I'm highly interested to see how that style of game works in the Big Ten for Meyer. And by the way, Florida went down when Dan Mullen left and Addazio took over. Addazio took a team that should have crushed everybody in Tebow's senior year and made them look average. That's what makes me interested in Ohio State in the coming years (no Dan Mullen). That's a beefy man's league where speed will either be Meyer's rise to power or downfall.
As a black man from Louisiana, who was born in the 70's, I must say we got speed here in Louisiana too got damn it. So lets see what they "won't" do against LSU!
I have to disagree with that because we talk about how stacked up Oregon is outside of the SEC but when your in a conference you get to recruit like them... you really think Oregon would not be able to recruit talent if they were in the SEC.... I highly doubt that... Oregon scheme with SEC talent is freaking scary Thanks for hearing me out man
you can run a 4.3 in high school with shitty stats and get scouted by the gators and then go on to get drafted by the raiders because thats all those two teams care about, we need to start working them all around.
he doesnt have 9.96, that was wind-assisted and thus cannot be used as statistic number. he ran last year within the range 10.01- 10.20. Fast but on international level there 20 sprinters with those measures.
@GatorsDatCHAMPS I don't care about NCAA standards really. He was running 10.00 (legal )when he was 18 and when he got 20 he ran 10.01 (legal) i don't see any progress, that's because if you look at his frame you will see he doesn't have "right" body for running 9.80 or faster - too short, too much bulks. Anyway his sprinting is good for football, but that's it. I wish him luck in 2012 NFL draft. Raiders could be interested ))
@knightguy11 No, every year the SEC DOESN'T have the most players drafted. I'm sure it has happened once or twice since football was first invented......in OHIO......and Gilbert wasn;t even on the team for their Superbowl loss to the Packers Defense that is lead by Big 10 players
U just wanna workout after watching this
Hard work pays off 🏈🏈🏈💪💪💯💯
Speed kills💨💨🏃
That trio Harvin, Demps, and Rainey will always be the fastest trio ever
08' Gators had 5 players run 4.3 & under, including Demps ran a 9.95 100m. Oregon fans are delerious. DeAnthony Thomas would be just another 1 of many top tier ATH's in the SEC. check out Demps 84yrd TD against Kentucky...blazing speed.
Miss these days
this is one of the best gator videos out on youtube... period
GO GATORS!!!!

this is awesome coming from a Penn Stater! good luck this year!
@Spider58x And your little list of players from last years Super Bowl proved my point. Go Gators!
Some of their speed when they were playing was absolutely OBSCENE as well :)
Oregon's Tempo is faster but the individual players aren't as nearly as fast as everybody makes them out to be. Compare their 40 times to the 09 Gators, it doesn't even come close. Thank you what I been saying forever since people jumped on Oregon bandwagon
Agreed.
OkI o opposite or
fullclip2007
you are so right totally agree
This is the best motivation video.
gotta love my gators harvin and teebow was one hell of a duo
@Spider58x Your talking about just one Super Bowl. I'm talking bigger picture here. Gators go hard in the paint, Great work
@jstebb1 "real football" is played by the Big 10 and Big 12. They run NFL style offenses. The SEC runs the spread, which gives us Tim Tebow and JaMarcus Russel

wait, did i just ear percy harvin!?!? this is a long time ago
When the hash marks are a blur because the camera is trying to keep up with you, you know you are fast. *Cough* Mercy Percy *Cough*
there will never be another speed team to dominant the ncaa like the florida gators did 1st and 2nd rounders on that team from the ol to the secondary
Oregon can't hold a candle to this speed...Demps is LITERALLY the fastest football player to ever play college football
9.95 in the 100m? only .2 slower than the WORLD RECORD

The fact is, the faster and more disciplined the football team is, the better they are
the 2008 florida gators squad was the 1996 bulls squad featuring Michael Jordan of football...and percy harvin was mj of college football
Best video on RUclips
I'm a gator fan but I gotta give this one to Oregon. all the speedsters on this gator team..demps,rainey,harvin and dubose..are all world class sprinters
This is what the SEC is all about. Go Gators!!

They all played on the same team in '08. Won a championship.
as of now they are, back when this vid was made the gators were all track runners
THATS MY BOYS! GO GATORS IF some don't like it they can kiss my GRITS. I like to brag about my boys the U OF FLORIDA GATORS I'll always be a Gator fan.
4 years later and now what lol
We still own you in basketball and football. Troy Smith is still having nightmares about that 2006 Gators D-line.
I'd say Florida, Georgia, Texas, and Cali are all pretty dominant in the NFL....
Got to get back to being this fast team we can do it!
deanthony did run a 20.57 in the 200m dash and he runs low 4.2 in the 40..Denard is crazy fast too though..honestly I'd like to see all of them get out there and race
Who's that one guy on the treadmill breathing extra heavy. If he goes that hard, I'd love to see his highlights
This hype take though!
since 2006 the national champion team has been a SEC team not just the past 2 years
& that speed did what for them in the National Title game again? I'm a die-hard Cane fan, but the SEC is where speed is bred
hey man, can i ask where you got the footage of the players training? thats sick...
Back when the Gator were in their prime.
man jeff demps and chris rainey were amazin
As a Buckeye fan, its exciting to have Mickey Marotti at Ohio State.
@Spider58x Since when does the coach not matter? The coach is the most important part of a team.
what about the linemen
Geez guys calm down, these videos were from the 06 -09 florida gators when they were the FASTEST TEAM IN AMERICA and won a couple of national titles in the process.
No shert Shilock...My point is that they had to stack the team with players from SEC states to even compete.
i too am a michigan fan and i think that florida was the fastest team at the time and now i think michigan is the fastest team of today
So Glad Meyer and Marotti came to OSU
@Spider58x Wrong again. The Big 10 produces (led by Ohio State) more total players, more Pro Bowl players and more Hall of Famers than any SEC school. Most SEC players get to the NFL unprepared to play REAL football, so they get sent to the practice squad and special teams while the other non-SEC players do the running, passing, catching, blocking and tackling.
they had them last year so we havent seen how fast florida is without them (im a florida fan by the way)
Ahh the glory days
when was yalls last national championship?
You're forgetting Louisiana, which, by percentage of the population, has more NFL players per person than any other state
the video is titled " Gator Football - Speed Kills". None of them died. Go FSU, UF, Miami, UCF, Louisville, SFU, FAU... heck, ALL of the Florida teams!
1:42 Ok Desean Jackson
Its fucking great to be a gator!!! Coach boom we believe in u!!!
this year they are.. but back then when the gators were you winning those Championships, Florida was way faster than Oregon
What song is being played during the video?
Bob Hayes 1964 gold medal 100m 10.05-ON DIRT track, 9.91 in semi final again on DIRT,i want to see ANY player today run those times on A DIRT TRACK. 1st man to break 6sec for the 60yd dash(5.9)fastest time in NFL's fastest man comp 6.09 ron brown, still has fastest anchor leg on the 4x100m 8.6
AGAIN ON DIRT, that 9.96 from Demps(no disrespect)would be a 10.1-10.2 on the dirt track Hayes ran on 49 years ago AND it was electronic,1964 1st year used in Olympics
ESPN ranked Oklahoma as the best program of all time. If thats what your talking about.
WE MIGHT BE BAD BUT THIS IS STILL GATOR COUNTRY
you cant really say that because of the year they went to the national championship and played Auburn(who dominated everyone in the SEC) only lost by two... so they can compete
What song is playing in the back round The beat?
Speed kill all the way to that awesome 7-6 record last year??
the song is second coming by jeulz santana
@GatorsDatCHAMPS This is what Tyson Gay tweeted about Demps. "@TysonLGay
JEFF DEMPS U DIDINT HAV TO RUN DAT DANG ON FAST DUDE. NOW U JUS SHOWIN OUT FAM!! LOL" Worst case is that Demps & Gay could be half of the US Track & Field relay team. Don't think if but which team they're on (4X400, 4X800)

Yes, now. But this video is 2-3 years old, and The Gators WAS faster than Ducks now..

How do these guys workout so hard, then the next day practice, then the next day play a game? Wouldn't you be sore?
Demps, Fastest man in the world?
BOLT!
As a black man from Louisiana, who was born in the 70's, I must say we got speed here in Louisiana too got damn it.
So lets see what they "won't" do against LSU!
What does you being blk have to do with anything? That was random as hell
I have to disagree with that because we talk about how stacked up Oregon is outside of the SEC but when your in a conference you get to recruit like them... you really think Oregon would not be able to recruit talent if they were in the SEC.... I highly doubt that... Oregon scheme with SEC talent is freaking scary
Thanks for hearing me out man
I'm an Arkansas fan but this Is the fastest team In college football
Im saying Oklahoma is the best college football program in history. Look up the ESPN article where they rank them #1
you can run a 4.3 in high school with shitty stats and get scouted by the gators and then go on to get drafted by the raiders because thats all those two teams care about, we need to start working them all around.
Produced Percy Harvin. Nuff said.
he doesnt have 9.96, that was wind-assisted and thus cannot be used as statistic number. he ran last year within the range 10.01- 10.20. Fast but on international level there 20 sprinters with those measures.

Where is Jeff demos in the nfl now
Which team had Urban Meyer as their head coach? You put him with this Oregon team, and they would probably win it all.
Speed is good and all... but may I suggest a QB that doesn't throw to FSU?
como se llama la cancion..??
@CS352 its called Tebow lol. :P
What's the name of this song?
@knightguy11 No, every year the SEC DOESN'T have the most players drafted. I'm sure it has happened once or twice since football was first invented......in OHIO......and Gilbert wasn;t even on the team for their Superbowl loss to the Packers Defense that is lead by Big 10 players
Black people take the game more seriously and push themselves in practice so thats why they are so good.
Yep I already know about that TD. Your all's speed has killed us the last 25 years.
@arnoldomario619 if you look at the description its from 2010
Deanthony actually runs a 10.31 and he still has 2 more years of track he could potentially run a 9.99 if he worked hard enough
florida is a good state for football florida the fastest and florida state the strongest and hardest hitting
jeff is one of the fastest ever 9.96 in 100m no football player ever ran faster
whats the name of this song
