Have you considered doing another Poison type run? Considering how the last one ended they deserve some redemption, maybe Platinum would be good given the list of good options like Roserade, Crobat, Drapion, Haunter, Dustox, Toxicroak and Tentacruel. I enjoy all of Silph's content, but Rock-types are my favourite type since way back in Gen 2 when I had a Golem and Tyranitar on the same team. Good times.
I just love how a lot of pokemon player’s favorite type is mostly depended upon what they used back in their childhood, like my favorite type is ground because i had a swampert and a rhyhorn that would decimate like everything
My favourite type is Rock, as well. Not because I used two Rock-Types in Gen 2 but in Gen 5, with Black being my very first Pokemon game ever. You might be a bit older than me😅
The first great challenge for Red was Brocks Rock types, I can't help but feel that the next great trainer over coming HIM with a team of Rock types is somewhat poetic
@@RedDragonForce2 If your talking about the adventures manga, then yes. But I'd also like to point out that Red didn't use Bulbasuar in his match against Brock, only Pikachu, because Saur and Poli were worn-out from fighting the gym trainers. So, yes, still a challenge.

This is the first new upload since I subscribed and I'm so excited! I've been having a blast with all these Monotype Hardcore Nuzlockes! Speaking of, I wanted to suggest a Bug-only run of B2W2! Gen 5 had a bunch of neat Bug-types, such as Scolipede, Galvantula and Volcarona, to name a few. I wouldn't mind a Bug-only run of BW either, but the reason I suggest the sequels is because in the original BW, you can't actually find any wild Bug-type encounters until after you gain the second Badge. Meanwhile, in B2W2 you can catch a Sewaddle on the western half of Route 20 before you get your first badge. The only downside I could see with doing the sequels instead of the originals is that Durant is locked behind the post-game. But considering you can only find it in Victory Road in the originals, it only really affects the League portion of your challenge. Plus, you should still get two additional encounters in its place in the form of either Combee or Heracross(B2)/Pinsir(W2) at Route 12 and Shuckle in Seaside Cave. Not to mention that while you can only get a Larvesta Egg after the 6th badge in the originals (and you can't evolve it because it does so past the League's level cap), you can actually catch a LV 35 Volcarona halfway through your journey in B2W2. And if you want an additional challenge, you can play W2 as it'll force you to battle White Kyurem (which should have at least 1 Fire-type attack) as part of the story. Also B2W2 have Challenge Modes that will up the levels of the Trainers Pokémon and increase the AI's capabilities or something like that.
This is the first video i watched on your channel and i watched the entire 40 min. Normaly i don't go through the whole ordeal and skip parts but you are very entertaining. 👊
Catching a Larvitar on the first encounter is crazy. It took me a good chunk of time to catch one. The way you beat the dragon gym was legendary. Good stuff!
Love it when you upload! I haven’t watched the last couple because I haven’t finished BDSP yet and didn’t want spoilers, but as soon as I finish it I get to go back and watch those!
Tyranitar despite having a horrible defensive typing is a pure monster who has been dominating the OU tier for a long time. Especially when the metagame have shift dramatically after Gen 5, and watching Pokemon once staple in OU falling down from grace, I believe T-Tar was one of the few mons who managed to be on OU since then.
"Hypnosis with Dream Eater would have been a nightmare, literally" Heh well actually if they are eating your Dreams then there would be no dreams, and an absence of dreams cannot be a nightmare.
I remember having Silver as a kid and going thru the game maxing out my Rhydon; then finding out about T-Tar thinking he was a direct upgrade and falling in love with him
You could have gotten a Geodude slightly earlier for the sake of authenticity of the run. In all fairness, it's still essentially what you say it is. I wouldn't consider like 3 trainer battles to be invalidating the run. But yeah, if you go through the gate to the north on the first route outside of Newbark there's Geodudes in the grass there. They should be the same level as the ones in that cave.
I think I got most of the references, and yeah, they're from "rock" bands, I get it: Benatar - Pat Benatar Geddy - Geddy Lee (Bass player and singer of Rush) Jett - Joan Jett (Former guitar player of the Runaways and solo career) Adler - either Steven Adler of GnR or Chris Adler of Lamb Of God (both drummers) Hammett - Kirk Hammett (Guitar player of Metallica) Patti - Patti Smith (I'd to search this one, so I'm not confident on this one, I barely know her career) Cobain - Kurt Cobain (Guitar player and singer of Nirvana) Joplin - Janis Joplin Jimi and Bonham - I figured that I'll pair them up and go for Led Zeppelin (Jimmy Page/guitar player and John Bonham/drummer) Or since you name it as "Jimi", it can also be a reference to Jimi Hendrix. But because Shuckle's HP stat is garbage, his HP at level 28 here is only 51, so a seismic toss from machop at level 25 almost does half damage; whereas, a Blissey's HP at level 28 is probably like 150, so the seismic toss from machop at level 25 only does a sixth damage. That's why Shuckle's HP stat matters
I love your videos. Keep it up. You knowledge of heart gold/soul silver is impressive. Didn’t know you get get a slugma of larvitar at those points in the game
I did a rock only playthrough of Crystal clear recently. It was a rocky journey, so many trainers put rocks in my path and my will to finish was nearly shattered, thankfully it wasnt a hardcore nuzlocke or even a nuzlock so I overleveled and bouldered through it all. But man was it awful for me.
Fun fact about that Fast Ball thing, even if you include legendaries, they only add 6 Pokémon (Lugia, Entei, Raikou, Zapdos, Mewtwo, and Lati@s) meaning the post-game total is 20. That does make it more than the total number of Moon Ball Pokemon capturable (6, or 2 before the post-game)
Instead of having a lower level cap for Jasmine, you should just fight Pryce first. Its not like you cant just Fly around, you get the Fly TM and ability from beating Chuck and youre given Kenya for a free flier.
Wow. It's not often you include the Kanto region and Red in your HGSS challenges. Amazing that you were deathless against Red, too. That's 20/5, my man. Great job, despite everything else. *applause*

12:11 I can relate, i was playing sword and this clefable knocks out my cloyster with a fusion flare 😭
I love how this guy consistently uses the word “decimate”.
Its not like you cant just Fly around, you get the Fly TM and ability from beating Chuck and youre given Kenya for a free flier.
i was watching the last video, refreshed, and now ready to watch this one!
I've come to love Magcargo lately, so it was nice to see it be so useful in this run
I am so glad this came out on my recommended. This is great.
Wow. It's not often you include the Kanto region and Red in your HGSS challenges. Amazing that you were deathless against Red, too. That's 20/5, my man. Great job, despite everything else. *applause*
I was watching at least one of your Nuzlocke video every night.
And when I saw that you uploaded a new one, I was really happy.
You're content is amazing, and the jokes are hilarious.
"In here we can find a trusty geodude". I see what you did there haha
Wouldn't omanyte and aerodactyle be from the same "route" though? Other than that great video
Yeah I thought you could only use one fossil for a nuzlocke
Yeah same with the safari zone he caught 2 Pokémon there a Geodude and Larvitar
@@iainzombies For the Safari Zone, the Geodude doesn't count since he can't use it because Dupes Clause, but yeah, the fossils are an issue.
Funny enough, Lance's team all has the flying type. So his dragon master title could be a cover for the fact that he's a flying type trainer.
you can't have pupitar evolved for the champ even if you wanted. Johto levels are crazy
Great vid brother keep it up.
Ps you can obtain larvitar without completing the baoba quest, just head north from the gate to the mountain area
Love the nickname scheme. Nice!!! Good job Silph. I’m still running the briefcase simulator in BD right now. Hoping to get a shiny before the new year 😂
What the nickname scheme? I don't get it
@@themanwithaplan8219 all famous rock stars or bands. Get it? He’s using Rock Types so he named them after rock stars! 😂
@@jamesstone404 ohhhhh ok thank you😂
Magnet pole service
Megnazone be like

Rottom:YEAHHH
Man i honestly didnt know we could get lavitar in the safari zone mountain part. Thank u for that
I really don’t think it’s possible for Silph to make a bad video lol great vid Silph as always
I love your Pokémon challenges!😀
Lmao someone copied ur comment
Love the rocker theme with the rock type.
First place is route 46, so two places for Geodude before first gym.
The hardest fight I had in my run of this was against Morty; Took me 4 resets. What I ended up doing was sending out Onix for Sandstorm for the 2x spDef right before it dies, go into Geodude and hit a rock polish, a defense curl, and then rollout. Had to avoid curse and paralysis from the gastly on geodude, but once it worked it worked.
I'm genuinely surprised you managed to get it done with the Corsola primarily, great job.
Love your videos! You have become my favorite RUclipsr as of late:)
Have you ever considered doing a randomized nuzlocke? I’m finishing one up now and it’s been a ton of fun!
3:58. Yes technically that's where you can find a Geodude but if you wanted to find one earlier you could go to route 46
Oh oh it’s me! It’s ol’ Shuckle! Today’s Shucklesday and it’s Shuckle o’ clock
I swept Morty’s team with a couple of attack Evs on my fearow with pursuit
As a metal head and rock lover, the names are great. Especially the nod to the drummer of Guns N Roses. If you had named him Colleti that would have been a real hard one.
