Un pianiste, virtuose et intensément musicien qui a marqué l'histoire de l'interprétation dans la musique des grands compositeurs.❤

Absolutely stunning! Not only has Byron Janis a phenomenal technique, but his profound understanding of the work is patently clear. Bravissimo!

Mr. Janis had transitioned in March 2024 ...he sufferd for years with a very crippling form of Arthritis which unfortunately shorted his stellar career..Mr. Janis played most of the time in pain...he did however continue to teach...Bryon Janis to me personally was a Titan...as person and performer...Listen to him performing the RACHMANINOFF Concerto (I believe in C) with Dorati conducting the Minneapolis Orchestra! Indeed amazing...or the Schumann piano concerto...Brilliant....we are indeed quite fortune to have these Videos....

To my absolute joy, Mr Janis is still about (age 94) and I believe he's still playing.
[Edit: He wasn't still playing, and sadly he passed away in March 2024. RIP, sir.]
