Periodic Scan results, Dealing with Scan Anxiety

- Huge day,
With positive results.
Tumour hasn't changed at all between scans and is currently looking stable.
Neuro surgeon is amazed how it's stayed stable this far away from chemotherapy with no change.
It's always a sigh of relief getting these results and a good foot up the ass that life isn't forever and well if the next scan is a few months away, it's a reminder to live between them.
Sad news is my 'Make a wish' of early knocks for the boys might just have to hold off ... 😉.
Thankyou for all the support as always, you've all single handedly made this journey one of discovery and fun not depression and death, Haha.

Working with cancer patients and having had had experience with a husband with cancer you have outlined the anxiety beautifully. Thanks for your honesty and i am glad your results are stable - keep kicking those goals.

Thanks Willy....you help so much. Breast Cancer, treatment for one year and counting.

Awesome news Willy. You didn't have to cut your car talk short mate. I love hearing personal thoughts and army stories. You've done more than most people twice your age have done so don't get shitty that you're not doing more. Remember, we are still in a pandemic 👍

Pleased to hear of your positive news Willy. We all need reminders that life is fleeting... a kick up the arse as you say. It’s great to see such a stoic no nonsense mindset and ‘make the best of it’ attitude. Keep going, sending positive thoughts from the UK 🇬🇧 🇦🇺.
thankyou Charles, I really do appreciate it mate!
G’day Willy I have only watched you for a few weeks and truly appreciate your outlook and the information you share. Back in April18 after a big day had a massive headache while driving home pulled up woke up 6hrs latter knackered the boys at work the next day pushed me to the docs, off to a CT that arvo we need you to go for an MRI spend the hour there walking back to the car hear fast footsteps behind me “we need you to come back in” pat thinks this isn’t good.
So phone call from the Doc at 20:30 that night you have 2 lesions in both hemispheres (shock didn’t take it in) leads to 46days in hospital finally they come out and say multi centric glioma (6-2yrs) get ya shit sorted. so 6 months goes buy been umm we might have been wrong the MRI’s have shown no change we will just monitor you every other month. And then it happened massive stroke can’t talk eyes didn’t point the right way unable to walk and 4 months in a wheelchair and rehab long story short they are not always right my issue turned out to be an autoimmune issue and my lesions are likely birth marks back at work now loving life struggling with with some of the skills I’ve lost but loving life.
Thanks
hey brother, thankyou so much mate i really appreciate it! oh shate mate! hope you're doing well brother
Thanks Mate doing well, I understand the feelings before and after the MRI I always dress neat and tidy though it’s a few kilns round trip the night before not smart enough to go in comfy gear😆
I've been taking the wife for a scan every 3 months for seven years now after her grade 3 brain tumour was removed. I know about the anxiety. We are now at a point of expecting the best. It wasn't like that for many years. We have also adopted the phrase of "oh well" for all things bad in life. It's a great tool to emotionally disarm a situation. Thanks for sharing. Much admiration.
bloody legend! Hope all is going well! thankyou brother
@@willyOAM Clear scans still mate. Cheers
Well done Willy thats great news!!
thankyou mate!
Scanxiety is a real thing. I just had my third craniotomy and will soon have regular scans.
for sure! wishing you all the best
Praying for you brother. Jesus changed my life forever without setting foot into a church or reading the Bible. I now do those things but He showed me how real He is before I did those things just to prove it. I used to cuss it all and now I’m a believer myself. I implore you to have an open heart and talk to Him. He does miracles and I’ve seen them first hand and experienced them myself. God bless you champ and thank you for your service. ❤️
thankyou mate
@@willyOAM no worries friend. Keep up the fight. Have faith. 👊
Ps: got any tips for me? I’m frothing like a dropped stubby to join the army and serve in infantry.
Pps: I have a close mate who was healed of terminal cancer through prayer. He had spots all over his liver and other organs and didn’t have much time left but my mates kept praying for him every morning. Eventually he got some more tests done and he came back completely clear. He’s now one of the happiest dudes I know.
He used to have a big business and all this money but was a dog of a bloke. Then his missus left him the business burned down, he lost everything and then he was dying. God healed his body and his heart and now he’s such a lovely bloke. Still living in a caravan but happy as a pig in... mud lol.
I also had a broken tooth that my mate prayed for and God fully remade. Half of it had fallen out in the shower leaving a massive hole. Two days later God remade my tooth. It took me two months to even believe it had happened lol. I wasn’t used to that kind of thing.
Anyway I share that to try increase your faith because I know the power of a testimony can set people free just by hearing it.
Much respect. ✊
And in the Australian army there is a draft? 🤔
There can be, But there isnt?
is it inevitable that you will die from it? wont it go away or be beaten. sorry i dont know much about it!
yes, It's incurable and inoperable
