I swear I use olive oil for EVERYTHING!! Makeup remover, hair mask, body oil, mix it with face cream to add more moisture, the list goes on! I’m allergic to coconut oil so I find this works the best for me
I received a makeup eraser cloth in my fabfitbun box last summer and I haven't bought makeup wipes since. It is amazing and I love that you can reuse it forever!
I've moved back to bar soap, I love the soaps I get from a local business where I live, Austin Natural Soap. I even use bar shampoo now and a facial bar soap cleanser. Since you've mentioned you like Thieves oil, ANS now has a bar soap using it, Austin's Guard (using a traditional thieves oil recipe).
I have also used jojoba oil for eye makeup remover for years, it's great! I use castor and jojoba oil as a hair mask. The castor oil can help with hair loss, growth, and split ends. I massage into my scalp and ends and sleep in it. I've also used it on my eyebrows and lashes, they seem to be fuller and grow faster too. Coconut sugar and olive oil is my fave diy scrub. And yes, coconut oil all the things. ❤️ Your channel.
I also stopped using shaving creams, and came across using olive oil instead! Such a smooth shave with minimal to no irritation. I think coconut oil solidifies wayyyy more than olive oil, so this may be a better option for shower drains to prevent clogging!
Such amazing tips! I have tried some of these on my own and they do work and are so beneficial to health! Having these all in one video is an extra amazing bonus! As many times you intend to buy stuff then forget which product brand it was, videos like these I just save them to watch later and they help so much! Also love your channel ;)
I bought three bars of those soaps two weeks ago after seeing them in some of your past videos! They smell so good esp the marzipan 🥰 I can’t wait to use them! Thank you for the tip!
For the past year, I have been using arrowroot powder and cocoa powder (just enough cocoa to work with your hair color) as a dry shampoo. I could never get conventional dry shampoos to work well for me, but this works so well! I just store it in an old seasoning bottle and shake it on. Plus your hair smells amazing when you wash it out.
Totally agree about bar soaps. I switched to bar soaps about 6 years ago. My favorite soaps are now by Crate 61 Organics. They are an Ontario company. Their soaps are amazing. Don’t dry my skin and have no strong frangrance. Great selection too.
I haven't purchased shaving cream in years as well. I keep a bottle of coconut oil in my shower, I love it as shaving cream! I saw my review for the lip butter on the screen! The deodorant just arrived today, I cannot wait to try it. The mouthwash is next on my list!
I have ditched the shaving cream, just usually use Dove bar soap but I had no idea about the coconut oil. I love using coconut oil with some sugar for a face scrub. I will have to try it for shaving now. Thanks for shareing💓
I stopped buying shaving cream years ago too. After using my bar soap, I shave before rinsing the soap off. The soap provides enough lubrication with which to shave.
Olive oil is also really good for your hair! Sometimes I use a half coconut and half olive oil as a pre-wash hair treatment and then if my hair gets frizzy I just use a little olive oil
I am minimalist when it comes to skin care. I actually don't use any of the stuff you use (except eco friendly body wash) and don't wear or own make up/perfume! When I use something on my skin it with a natural product with tea tree.. I have washed my hear with apple cider vinegar Wich is also a good conditioner.
I have stopped using make up wipes and make up remover after watching several of your videos. I now have a tonne of face cloths instead :) Love your content and the Health Nut Shop
I stopped using shaving cream a couple of years ago when I ran out and improvised with conditioner. Now I just use soap or cheap conditioner and it works just fine
Your hair looks AMAZING, Nicole 😍. And love this video! All things I've stopped using for a few yrs now! No shaving cream here either. Just go ol' soap or tiny bit of conditioner. Cheers! Enjoy this beautiful Canadian weather!!
Hey Nikole! Loved this video...very helpful for me as I am vegan & as environmentally friendly as i can be, however I learned a lot from this video. Was wondering if you had any great local Toronto shops that I could shop at for health care items? Purchased the bars of soap to eliminate my body wash bottles (something i never thought about)
I used to love using coconut oil for shaving, but ended up having a major issue with my pipes getting over clogged. I had to have someone come in and fix the problem, and he said it was from oil 😳 ...I never pour cooking oil down the drain, so I assume it must be from the coconut oil 🤷 So, might be worth looking into what kind of damage it can do to the drains and what things can be done to eliminate too much of it going down your drain.
Thank you for all the links. I definitely have to check out your shop. Where did you get those little wooden spoons? I want some for my skin care items.
I usually use conditioner for shaving in the shower, or soap if I’m in a pinch! Most of the time these days I use an electric shaver for my legs because razor blades are so expensive!!
No shaving cream for me either! I do the same- hair conditioner that I haven’t used in a long time since my hair is already too oily. But once that’s gone I’m going to use coconut oil tip!
Castille soap is a great alternative to body wash. I add some essential oils to a bottle depending on what fragrance I want. it's fun to create different combinations 🙂
I haven't used shaving cream in about 9 years. People always gift me body wash (I hate using fragrance body wash example anything like bath and body works) so I just use what they gift me for shaving or I use any left over shampoo or conditioner (if I run out of shampoo before conditioner or conditioner before shampoo I will just buy the set and use the left over one for shaving)
OMG! That's why I've been losing so much hair. I use dry shampoo every day and have been for years but here lately I've been losing so much more hair. Think it's because I changed brands.
I can't use coconut oil on my hair! It smells really delicious and I just get constantly hungry 😂😂! I wish I could deal with it because I see so many using it with great results! 😉
Really great suggestions, especially the coconut oil for hair spray cause I've been looking for a more natural cruelty free option and have not found anything and I also have those annoying frizzy baby hairs which I think Coconut oil can control. Thank you Nikole!
Omg what essential oils do you use with the coconut oil??? Omg Loving ur hair color ! I like the dark brown close to your face frame ! And the ombré happening !!!! This video is super useful ! Thank you for the info
Loved this video! So informative & I’m definitely needing to go more natural with my personal care products! I do use essential oils- lavender & peppermint are my faves!❤️
I really tried to use shampoo bars and soap bars, I had been using them for years, my problem is/was: They leave an incredible soap residue in the shower, no matter what I used or how much i scrubbed I *had* to use the "worst" chemicals to get rid of those stains. With shampoo bars, additionally, I always had a residue on my hait that would ruin my brushes every 4 months, because it stuck to the brushes. I tried sour rinses, excessive rinsing, nothing helped :( Thus, I now buy bottled products again...
I have to use dry shampoo due to have greasy hair. It's not as greasy as it used to be years ago but then that was probably because I washed my hair every day back then. Now I use my hair 3 times a week but still need to use dry shampoo between wash days or otherwise I'll go out with greasy looking hair which I do not want.
My family doesn’t use body wash either but we go to a shop wr we live and buy handmade body and face soap! We also don’t have packeting with the soap we buy too!
I’d suggest a few dips in boiling water or just pour a small amount of boiling water after - should melt the oil and get rid of the residue, or dip in hot soapy water
I thought many things about your video were so cool (specially the no makeup wipes) but please PLEASE do NOT use oils on your face, every single skincare specialist says not to use them (go and google why, one of the worst things you can do to your face) in order not to hurt your skin you should use skincare products for you face (don’t come at me with “oils are natural so they are good for you, the other things are chemical so they are bad” because I don’t see you all running away from water and there are so many articles out there of how natural things are not always the best) and for anyone out there who’s making a face exfoliate with sugar DONT DO IT, please do your research!
I swear I use olive oil for EVERYTHING!! Makeup remover, hair mask, body oil, mix it with face cream to add more moisture, the list goes on! I’m allergic to coconut oil so I find this works the best for me
I’m all about the coconut oil for the hair too! It’s so nourishing for my dry ends - the best affordable and natural hair hack ever!
I received a makeup eraser cloth in my fabfitbun box last summer and I haven't bought makeup wipes since. It is amazing and I love that you can reuse it forever!

Jennifer Leduc I passed that soap shop the other day and was curious about it! I’m definitely gonna go check it out now.

"Less is more" very well explained! Thanks for sharing these helpful informations! ❤️

Kellie Leigh This is an amazing DIY all-natural alternative! Thanks for sharing☺️

I actually don’t use anything for shaving, just water 😂
Same here 🙋♀️
Andrea Patricia my skin is too sensitive to that but I just use soap to create a light lather and easier gliding 🤗
I have ditched the shaving cream, just usually use Dove bar soap but I had no idea about the coconut oil. I love using coconut oil with some sugar for a face scrub. I will have to try it for shaving now.

Tracie Helfrich It’s the best - coconut oil has so many uses! Happy to hear you enjoyed the video😊💕

ive never liked bar soap cos it also dries out my skin!!! I WILL DEF TRY YOUR RECOMMENDATION OUT
Hey Nikole! Loved this video...very helpful for me as I am vegan & as environmentally friendly as i can be, however I learned a lot from this video. Was wondering if you had any great local Toronto shops that I could shop at for health care items?
Purchased the bars of soap to eliminate my body wash bottles (something i never thought about)
I shave with Castile soap, I wash my face and body with it as well. I have made many switches with my products as well over the past 6 years.

Same! I don't use shaving creams anymore, my alternative is a good bar of soap :)

i really think you would be a good candidate for Arbonne! You really seem to align with that. 💗
Castille soap is a great alternative to body wash. I add some essential oils to a bottle depending on what fragrance I want. it's fun to create different combinations 🙂
Bella Right?! I love playing around with the different scents too🙌🏼
I made my own hair spray with alcohol, sugar and lemon...it works pretty well. I have oily hair so coconut oil isn't for me...

Great video! I too have removed a lot of unnecessary products. Less is best!!
Really great suggestions, especially the coconut oil for hair spray cause I've been looking for a more natural cruelty free option and have not found anything and I also have those annoying frizzy baby hairs which I think Coconut oil can control. Thank you Nikole!

If you have dandruff or an itchy scalp, then you could add a couple of drops of tea tree oil with coconut oil and massage on your scalp :)
Thank you for some great natural alternatives. Love these videos🤩
Looks like I need to "dust off" my coconut oil and use it more often.
I don’t use shaving cream, i lately have been using shampoos we don’t use anymore then I will slowly move into all natural products,
Interesting and I stay away from the bar soaps because they cause my skin to become extremely dry and sensitive....I will give your bar soap a try.
Where did you buy your bed frame? I love it!
Loved this video! So informative & I’m definitely needing to go more natural with my personal care products! I do use essential oils- lavender & peppermint are my faves!❤️

I love coconut oil its like my ride or die ..lol lol it has help me so much in my natural hair journey

Kindly make a video on the plant based collagen.
You should try bangs. Would be very flattering on you.
I don't buy shaving cream either. I use a bar soap, but not the icky kind you referred to..:)
I have used coconut oil to to take off my make up for yeaaars!!! I’ve never thought to shave with it!!!
I find it too heavy for my eyes and face but it’s a great swap so if it works for you that’s awesome! And yes def try shaving with it ☺️
I like mouthwash from The Natural Dentist ; it contains aloe vera and peppermint oil.
My family doesn’t use body wash either but we go to a shop wr we live and buy handmade body and face soap! We also don’t have packeting with the soap we buy too!
Sophia R this sounds like an amazing option!☺️
HealthNut Nutrition Me and mom agreed that we are going to use coconut oil to shave now!
Hello! I saw in one of your videos you are looking for a natural mascara I recommend ( Pure Anada Mascara )
I find that coconut oil works well for shaving and it’s nice and smooth/hydrating, however it clogs up my razor.. any tips for preventing that?
I’d suggest a few dips in boiling water or just pour a small amount of boiling water after - should melt the oil and get rid of the residue, or dip in hot soapy water
Are you sure oils are safe to use on eyes??
I haven't used or bought shaving cream in years. I just use my body wash.
The s all wooden spoon you used for the coconut oil where can I get one
great video
My mom uses the jojoba oil I use it when I wear makeup but it makes my eyes blurry.
You should try crest alcohol-free mouth wash. That's what I do and it doesn't burn
I love this girl.. thank you x
OLIVE OIL GUYS OLIVE OIL. FOR EVREYTHING : Hairmask, Bodyoil, Makeupremover, etc
I don't use shaving cream, just a bar of soap :)
i love these!
Thank you for saving me money haha!!
Great video amazing
I have very few hairs on my legs, I just wax 3 to 4 times a year.
Lucky 🧐😄
🤩🤩 so amazing
I don't buy shaving cream either, use my husband's or conditions
I remove my eye makeup with soap. Idk why but eye makeup removers never remove the mascara on me!
I know I'm late sorry but a is due to Congratulations on your online store
Heads up! Essential oils directly on skin and around animals is NOT SAFE! Please look it up and be cautious. Otherwise, great tips.
