Absolutely loved this! You two are too funny! And - oh sweet, sweet Buck!!! Made me realize how much I miss him! Will finish the rest tomorrow, almost done but gotta go - looking forward to it! Thank you!
WOW, the beauty! Just got back from the smokey mountains in Tennessee last week, mother nature is something else!! You guys got this can't wait to see the second part!! I hope them damn blisters healed up for you, you guys ROCK!
I'm confused. This posted 5 days ago but Buck is there. Is this a screening of an old trip? Also Jim mentions he is going to marry Tori and they both look pretty youthful. Somebody set me straight please.
No offense…gorgeous territory, magnificent falls, but Buck lifting his leg to mark it all his…simply golden. He stole the show. I have not doubt that North will do the same one day.
In Indigenous cultures, the term snake is a generic pejorative used to describe other tribes, regardless of their actual ancestry, hence the many locations in Alberta where a number of different tribes lived, all of whom, although unrelated, were called 'Snakes'. The Snakes who lived just north of Jasper were massacred by a band of Assiniboines at a peace feast between the two tribes.
Great adventure. Really enjoy Torrie's addition to these videos. Really enhances the viewer experience. You two are by-far the best partnership on YOU TUBE. Thank you both.
I went on a long trail hike here. I live at the base of the Santa Monica Mountains. I wore hiking boots. Blistered up badly. That was the last time I wore hiking boots when hiking. Nice country up there.
Tory's motivation is great on this trip Jim you asked Tory are we going to make it and Tory you said no were going to die out here. I laughed so hard .
Hey, awesome to see Buck, he was such a beautiful dog. Beautiful area your hiking now that is some wilderness . That was a gorgeous waterfall eh. and the views of the mountains so epic The trail rugged, but you three persevered . Love the camp spots especially the horse packer sites . lovin this !.
For all of you giving outdoor advice toJim Baird, shut up already. While you are watching all the ultralight through hiking videos, these guys are actually doing it and have done for years. This isn’t the AT or PCT, it’s the Canadian Rockies.
Hello Adventurers!!! You and Jim and Buck make such a good team. Torie you are so lovely and even though you two are so tired and sore you can still laugh😁😁 Beautiful scenery, love, love it. Be safe!!
Amazing trip . You 2 are made for one another . I don't think you can explain glacier water to someone who's never felt it. Also I think Jack London would be proud of the way Buck held his own. Can't wait for the next episode.
I just wear trail runners now I don't care if they get wet plus the sock liners I never get blisters and I backpack a lot... I'm no expert but works for me lol
Good on you guys for pushing through , I’m sure you both learned a lot on your journey ! The mountains are no joke any time of year and can really kick your ass hard lol. Next time you’re looking for another backcountry trip to do look into Yaha-Tinda to Lake Louise , that’s a challenge for sure !
Awesome backpacking trip! I have been on a few tough ones myself so know exactly how rough it can be and just how broken a fella can feel! haha! Missed ole Buck, good to see him. :) Looking forward to the next part, thanks for sharing. :) :)
oh man that blister looked painful, need some hiking sandals so it could air out....and poor Buck he is thinking "I thought I was a domestic dog". and Tori that backpack looked heavy! However beautiful hike trip looking forward to part 2.
I can not recommend enough...Engo Oval Blister Prevention patches - you put them inside your boots - and sock liners - MEC has them or you can just use silk dress socks/they work just as good- inside your regular hiking socks - not one blister in a 5 day backpacking trip!!!! I don't even have to carry any blister kit when I'm hiking or anything now. For real!
Theres nothing more exhausting than backpacking with a heavy load for a couple of weeks, especially if it's outside of trails. Done a lot of it, and heavier than 30 kg's backpack now that I'm in my fifties, no thanks!
You all are packing to much sh!t! …. Hahaha I never pack more then 50 Max and I do a lot of mountain hiking and camping. Of course a lot of your weight is camera gear
Awe, just loved seeing Buck again. I live in BC and know how bad that smoke was then. Another great adventure. You and Tori are definitely the outdoor power couple of Canada!
I remember watching this series when you first came out with it on the trip from Jasper to Grande Cache, quite the little journey and it was quite the back country trip but the trip was pretty epic. lots of views and sights and of course lots of leg burning miles. what a trip it was to see... and watch once again
So all the sprays my neighbors spread all over their lawns are destroying food. Of course my dog and cat go potty all over the place so I’m not eating that!
from now on I will be using Torrie's method of hoisting my pack by lifting it onto my thigh rather than throwing it on my back and collapsing on my face
Cheers! Nice to see you again, going in for my second open heart surgery now in august (may was my first). Looking forward to follow you guys on this journey! Beautiful dog aswell, he looks reallt well taken care of!
Had a memory of the last trip I took my dog on thought it was just another but had to carry her the last several miles. My first eye opener that after 17 years with her it was time to just pamper her and... I can't finish sorry.. btw she was 100 LBS not a small dog
WOW INCREASABLE! How much weight did you guys carry! What pack did you use? Who carried the max weight and how much was it? I'm gonna start practicing and hopefully working towards being able to handle 60 pounds 10 miles a day!
Hi, this is my part of the world. I have found just driving to camp sites and staying at location is so very hard. Very tough wilderness. I am so proud that the two of you made this trek.
Thank you for filming your adventure. I would like to provide you with some hint for long walks. Always used broken in footwear that is comfortable and use two pairs of socks the first near the skin very thin and the second one normal pair you wear daily and train a few weeks ahead of the long walk. Buck seems to be enjoying every step.
Hello from Northwest Pennsylvania, I like that vitamin referral it's nice to see you have your pup with y'all vitamin R works for me on most of my trips. Broken is because y'all are taking on to much at a time I'm 7 -10 k since I'm in my 50s now. Nice reference on the plants too.
Not only did you do hard core back packing but you filmed this whole thing and that’s tough to do kudos to you thanks for the awesome video I really enjoyed, you guys are awesome couple together👍 Buck is a good dog!!!
Yes it’s sort of amazing how a stupid blister can wreak havoc on a hiking trip. I had heard make sure your boots are broken in one place showed submerging them in water walk with them they will form to your feet better and I think whoever said that knew when it dried it would be even stiffer 😂and I fell for it and paid the price. I’m amazed at Torre. Men have more physical strength then women yes exceptions but that’s the rule so she may feel it even harder then you. On the flip side women take pain better. A higher tolerance yes always an exception ok can’t wait to see how altitude effects you. When I am in Colorado at hotel I take the stairs up to room elevator down. I get in room and catch my breath where nobody is lol. It does make me acclimated faster and when I’m back in New Jersey I have like a high of extra energy for a day or two as my blood now has more red blood cells holding more O2 that get created at altitude
JIM!!!!, metal bowls? they weigh a ton. Zamberlan boots are the worst if they are not totally broken in.Next time call me before you go on a trip and I will give good advise! Great channel!
Great trip so far, learned that duct tape is the #1 hiking gear! Looking at your supplies, it seems that you have plenty of food but I don't think that bottle of rum is going to last 5 days, lol. 😊😊
Always enjoy your videos. Don't get the issue with your shoes causing blisters. I often go to the Everglades and wouldn't think of going thete without tried and proven shoes.
This is too late but when u have a blister it’s a spot on your foot wear that is causing friction , so put something under your heel to lift the blister past where the friction is .. sometimes trimming the insole will also work to lower the blister below the friction
Absolutely loved this! You two are too funny! And - oh sweet, sweet Buck!!! Made me realize how much I miss him! Will finish the rest tomorrow, almost done but gotta go - looking forward to it! Thank you!
This makes me so happy to watch! Can't wait to see the next leg. Also so nice to see Buck again!
Tori I want to say you are an inspiration! To all women that can now maybe say maybe I'll give it a. Thank you
WOW, the beauty! Just got back from the smokey mountains in Tennessee last week, mother nature is something else!! You guys got this can't wait to see the second part!! I hope them damn blisters healed up for you, you guys ROCK!
Good to see the legend that is Buck again ❤️
I was going to say the same thing. It was really refreshing and enjoyable seeing buck again.
I'm confused. This posted 5 days ago but Buck is there. Is this a screening of an old trip? Also Jim mentions he is going to marry Tori and they both look pretty youthful. Somebody set me straight please.
Please disregard my last post. I just found the introductory narrative.
What pack do you use, Jim?
No offense…gorgeous territory, magnificent falls, but Buck lifting his leg to mark it all his…simply golden. He stole the show. I have not doubt that North will do the same one day.
Haha, absolutely, thanks for watching
Awesome guys ! Pumped to see old buck , and you two kids.
Nice, thanks a lot! Ya, Tori has been busy doing some editing on this while I’ve been off in the Yukon.
Enjoyed seeing the Snake Indian Falls. Very powerful force. This was a challenging hike. Really nice scenery.
Aw Buck ❤️
Another amazing video. Do you use “Darn Tough” socks? It sucks to deal with that blister situation so early in the trip
Oh man I moved back to my parents home once over my blisters! I had blood poisoning and had I not done that I might have had problems...
Ya, blood poisoning was my concern too. Epson salt soak helps
Ah, I miss Buck but North is slowly filling Buck's big paws now. What a brutal hike so far. Beautiful views though. Now gotta watch part two.
Buddy, next time just cut hole in boots by blisters.. Great video and wonderful to see buck again.. What a great 🐶
Thanks!
I don't know how you do it with a 60 lb pack. You two are beasts!
In Indigenous cultures, the term snake is a generic pejorative used to describe other tribes, regardless of their actual ancestry, hence the many locations in Alberta where a number of different tribes lived, all of whom, although unrelated, were called 'Snakes'. Buck is the star of all stars
Have you looked into the Hilltop packs personalized food bags there awesome Ben the owner is amazing small cottage company
Vitamin I and vitamin R. I just realized I always take vitamins with me too
Wasn't this trip posted in a previous video a year or two ago??
I thought with all your experience in the outdoors you would have well broken in boots before you started
Well, I watched these two episodes out of order
Awww, oh well.
Ahh miss buck rip
“She’s badass that way, that’s why I married her”😂❤️
One lucky dude with a beautiful wife who loves the wild outdoors
Great adventure. Really enjoy Torrie's addition to these videos. Really enhances the viewer experience. You two are by-far the best partnership on YOU TUBE. Thank you both.
Hi from Syracuse NY USA everyone thank you for sharing your adventures and safety first always and work smarter not harder everyone
If any two people can, you both have this... ✌️ 💪 ❤️ And I'm still at the beginning of the video.
Buck was the best dog. Glad you posted this footage.thanks jim
Yay! The return of Buck! What a great dog!
I went on a long trail hike here. I live at the base of the Santa Monica Mountains. I wore hiking boots. Blistered up badly. That was the last time I wore hiking boots when hiking. Nice country up there.
If you have ever hiked in the mountains you need proper good quality hiking boots, nothing else will do.
This was awesome. It was so lovely to see Buck again ! What a sweet boy he was. Thanks for another blast from the past.
You’re very welcome
Tory's motivation is great on this trip
Jim you asked Tory are we going to make it and Tory you said no were going to die out here. I laughed so hard .
Haha, ya that was hilarious
Hey, awesome to see Buck, he was such a beautiful dog. Beautiful area your hiking now that is some wilderness . That was a gorgeous waterfall eh. and the views of the mountains so epic The trail rugged, but you three persevered . Love the camp spots especially the horse packer sites . lovin this !.
it is good to look back and remember such a great friend buck was a trooper thanks Jim and Torrie
Buck lives on!
You 2 make such a awesome team . And it was great seeing Buck again. That's for sure.
great trip, but makes me sad to see buck

Tori in one in a million. Good to see Buck again. Miss the boys tho. 🇺🇸
Ya - good to see ol Buck - I had to put my girl down 2 weeks ago. Soo very sad. Good to have video memories- thanks for the video.
Haha, thanks a lot for watching! Bush was an outdoor sled dog before we got him so he didn’t ever think that
Ah wow (Buck) Thanks Jim and Tori y’all are troopers and may God bless y’all! 👍👍👍😎😎😎🤩🤩🤩👏👏👏💯💯💯❤️❤️❤️

It’s thought for sure but an awesome way to travel.
Buck, oh, I am crying now. ❤️Buck forever.
The only complaint I have about your videos is that they have to come to an end, it makes me pissy and puts me into stage 4…ANGER! 🤬🤣
Haha, thanks for watching
You all are packing to much sh!t! …. Hahaha
I never pack more then 50 Max and I do a lot of mountain hiking and camping. Of course a lot of your weight is camera gear
Ya, camera gear for sure but also we could have packed lighter, no doubt
Are there many wilderness solutions for mosquitos? Are there any? Canada and Alaska seem like they are both about 33% mosquitos by volume.
Haha, pretty much, ya there’s deet and other mosquito repelling devices but they’re not bad here for the most part
Awe, just loved seeing Buck again. I live in BC and know how bad that smoke was then. Another great adventure. You and Tori are definitely the outdoor power couple of Canada!

Interesting comment
from now on I will be using Torrie's method of hoisting my pack by lifting it onto my thigh rather than throwing it on my back and collapsing on my face
Ya, that was a pretty good method she figured out for sure! Thanks for watching
leuko tape is the best tape for blister prevention.
Man what a cliff hanger! Great to see you and Tori again! That waterfall!! Can’t wait until the next episode! Thanks for sharing!
Really enjoyed this 👌

Hi, this is my part of the world. I have found just driving to camp sites and staying at location is so very hard. Very tough wilderness. I am so proud that the two of you made this trek.
That is amazing. The falls. Jim don jump… Blister stink. The Mac and cheese looks good after all your work.
Watching this once more. It's good to recall all the beauty that surrounded you and Tori and Buck !
The adventures continues! Great job you three!
I would like to add that the water is everywhere, no need for the dog to carry so much water .

Such a great dog...Buck!

Aww… it’s Buck💜
Welcome to wild rose county. Now you need to come back and do Kananaskis and Banff national parks.
Great job 2017 Jim & Tori!
💪😎👍....wheres the sasquatch audio & vids tho?😁
Always enjoy your videos. Don't get the issue with your shoes causing blisters. I often go to the Everglades and wouldn't think of going thete without tried and proven shoes.
All the "heavy camera equipment"... Pulls out big bottle of rum.
You guys are kick butt ….. Big TONY
Big thanks Big T!
Dude! When a Canadian says it's cold, this Californian knows it must be damn freezing cold!
Please don't ever duck tape an iPhone to your head again. Made me dizzy watching. Nice adventure though.
O awe Jim and Tori….thank for the trip back to telegraph creek …so looking forward to the next segment
Blisters that soon! Soreness that quickly! Didn’t you do any conditioning hikes prior?
Wow, Beautiful Upload friend. keep it up. Thank you for sharing this to us. Greetings from Korea
You’re very welcome!
For years I've said I wanted to hike south from Jasper.. looks like I might want to go north as well
You guys are awesome. Thanks for sharing your adventures. Stay safe my friends!! 👍🏕🔥
