I was talking with a friend today about Community living and raising our kids, etc. I shared a bit of what your vlog was all about and some of the things we could all learn from the history and lifestyle of our hutterite friends. This particular video spoke volumes of how important it is to work, play, learn, grow, serve and love those God has appointed us to be with. My own daughter just graduated this year, and I hope that we are passing down the most important things to her as she grows herself. Thanks for the great video, I benefited from it greatly.
I am sure the rose is well deserved.

I live a world away from you in Wales with no bible upbringing or firm belief. Even so, I feel a kindred link so God is gracious. Stay well.
We are all linked this way, even in my own belief of Ase Tro there is the Long House where everyone will get together and share food and drink and stories and songs, friendship, grievances, etc, etc, people are not meant to live in a concrete box with 4 walls, we are social and the community way of living is how it should be, no matter what your belief is. I am in England

Question about schooling among Hutterites: If a child were to be born gifted - for example with philosophical understanding or musicality, would your group allow that giftedness to be kindled, or would the person be encouraged to do what everyone else does and keep their gifted trait as a hobby?
They follow the Lord. So, by biblical standards.
God wants us to use our UNIQUE qualities to help in a community setting.
yes, that person is correct if a person is good at something we encourage them, for example my brother is really good with technology and his job in the manufacturing business is going to be more on the technology side :)

I enjoy seeing how your community embraces old ways and modern technology at the same time. The three girls reading the song lyrics off their cell phones (vs a hymnal) really brought that point home. I am Presbyterian from NYC and even we don't do that! But Presbyterians are considered to be a little stuffy, LOL. I did miss the choral sing at the end. That's always my favorite part.

Are you really surprised that is your brother saying thank you for everything you have done for him. I think it's absolutely priceless just shows how much they love you and appreciate everything you have done for him. I have three brothers two are my older ɓrothers. The younger one is adopted he has a few learning difficulties. Now my parents have passed my husband and I have taken him to live with us he's a great bloke but he has problems but as long as we are able to look after him he stays with us. I'm 59 and my husband is nearly five years years older than me. But unfortunately I'm the one with health problems. I got rheumatoid arthritis when I was thirty I've had two knee replacements and one shoulder replacement, ɓut nobody is taking my adopted brother àway from me. I'm lucky I have a good family that helps and I am the only female, so that can be fun. Unfortunately when I was a little girl my mum had a healthy baby òr so we all thought but he only ĺived for a couple of weeks . They named him Andrew my brother's and I where staying with my lovely aunt in Scotland. It took my mum a little while to bring us back ɓut my dad persuaded her ŵe ñeeded both our parents back. And after a few weeks we were home. But it was never the same. So I feel extremely sorry for families that have to go through the same thing., sorry about this long story I think it was just the time of the year, when all this stuff happened. I think about it every year and and no doubt I will never forget about it.
