It was supposed to paralyze Noble and make it so he could never walk again, but he did physical therapy and started to walk again this was at the 2023 smoky hill high school graduation where he finally walked we were so proud of him and admittedly i cried

I couldn’t fathom not being able to march in high school. I graduated 5 years ago and seeing this makes me glad I was able to march. I’m not hating on him just wish he could’ve ran one last high school race.
As someone who got injured in the dominant leg twice, it really did keep me back from enjoying the pleasures of my youth, such as sports and walking more than 10 minutes anywhere. I am slowly working towards recovery, but it was terrible before. I felt disabled, yet I did not feel worthy enough to be disabled.
This kinda happened with a graduate at my brothers graduation, A person in a wheelchair was going down the line and someone helped him and everyone stood up and cheered another wholesome moment.

At my graduation there was this boy in special Ed & it took him about 6 years because of his disability, but he managed to get enough credits after all that time & walk across the stage & when he did everyone who knew how hard it was for him cheered the loudest

The human body is weird. Some doctors say with training you can walk again, but even with all the right training you’re still paralyzed, while this guy was told he’ll never walk(or run I forgot) again but he’s doing it.

I was a swimmer in high school and one of my teammates over the summer before junior year dove into a lake and hit a sandbar. He was paralyzed from the neck down. The doctors said that he would never walk again, but little by little he kept strong and powered through his recovery. On the last meet of the year, he had been training to swim 50 yards. I kid you not, everyone at that pool shed a tear when we saw him do the impossible. Today, he is back to normal and is not paralyzed (not sure about side effects), but the recovery that was made is truly remarkable. Anyone can overcome anything with enough mental strength and determination.
Incredible story and I’m so glad to hear. And yes you can do things if you put your mind to it but unfortunately some ppl that are diagnosed with these sort of things or diseases don’t get to come back no matter how hard they try or want it. Your friend is lucky.
