- In a lot of my videos i don't show much of what happens in the evenings and how i choose to spend my time, so this is a little bit of deeper look into how i like to spend my time and unwind even if it includes working either for myself or for our community.

A shortened version of Amahl and the night visitors might be fun for the youth. It's typically a musical. In this play Amahl is the son of the Inn keepers where Mary and Joseph go to spend the night and he's mesmerized by the star 🌟. Nestor the Christmas Donkey is a great one to keep in mind for next year for preschool age kids. Charlie Brown is great too, though a secular comic they stop everything and highlight what Christmas is truly about....a welcomed message in our way weary world

How do you use cheese whiz jars to can in? because I have these little pepper jars I was thinking about reusing. Do you use the old lids from the cheese whiz jar? or do you just use the cheese whiz jar and buy new lids from like Uline or some one else?

I'm in Revelations right now. I'm supposed to be in chapter 7, I'm on chapter 6
It must feel so much calmer once the fall cleaning is finished. 💕 I love curling up in a blanket and reading, of course I have 2 small dogs that think they need to get under the blanket and help!😂😂 We have bookshelves across on wall and every few years I go through them and donate quite a few to the local libraries. Thank you for allowing us into your life, I enjoy your videos so much they always make me feel better. The past couple of years have been really hard I've lost count of the number of friends that have passed away, but I know it's been at least 2 a month. I get a real sense of comfort watching your routines, and listening to your devotionals. Have a lovely, blessed weekend and week. Oh my goodness, when I see you next I will be 62! How did that happen? 💕💕

When choosing fancy editing techniques for your videos, you might steer clear of ones that shake a lot (like the intro) or have a lot of bright, moving lights. These unfortunately can negatively affect people who deal with seizures and migraines and such. Love your videos so much and just want everyone else to be able to enjoy them too! 💕🧸

Do the children eat before the adults? And if so who minds the children while the adults eat? Please correct me if I’m wrong. I always thought y’all ate as families. TY!
no we don't eat as families but, the older children that are in the children's dining room take care of the younger ones while the adults are eating 😊

Your dinner looked delicious here - those beef strips with veggies, etc. (except for the radishes). But a question for you - do the children always eat separately in the big kitchen - are there some adults with them? Do families ever eat together in the big dining hall? Just curious about the role of family as opposed to community - esp. with relation to parents/children at dinner time. I'll admit - that would feel strange to me - as i grew up with my family eating together - at least not until the children were say, mid teens. Just wondering at what age the children quit eating with mom/dad (am assuming the littles are taken care of by mom til at least 4 or 5 since they are often messy eaters when young - or is that wrong?)

The young children eat at home until they are 5 then they move to the dining room and yes there is someone there who looks after them no we don't sit together as families when eating we sit oldest to youngest 😊 oh yes we love to decorate its almost time for putting up the Christmas decorations in the kitchen we are still deciding how we want to do it 😊

i'm up at 7 every morning except on Sunday, that is the only day when we don't have breakfast as for being in bed it used to be 9:30 for a number of years but now is 10, not too bad i guess 😊..you are so welcome 😊

May the Christmas plays prove lovely for you and the community! I seem to recall that you hoped you would have this opportunity last year when COVID cancelled everything everywhere. At last it is happening! May I ask where your colony gets the fabric for your dresses and what kind of fabric it is? I am having trouble finding lovely fabric that hangs nicely. In particular I would like to get some with red in the pattern.
Yah im so happy that we get to do it this year, as for dresses we get most of ours from a place called mook and we buy cotton and crepe dresses (thats how we call them) 😊
As I went to college ( The University of Nee Mexico class of 1972). I had the great pleasure ( and at times great heartache) of serving as our churches youth director. It was hard work but how I enjoyed planning activities, including plays, retreats, and my most favorite of all the yearly youth banquet. Never one to accept the mundane, I once transformed our fellowship hall into the side walk cafe in Paris. We lowered the ceiling with crepe paper and had twinkling stars overhead. With help we added a working water fountain, and shrubbery. It took about 6 hours of work, but I was pleased with the idea and being able to see the youth having fun decorating. There are so many activities a group can do to not only have fun, but also give glory to our Holy God! Thank you for your blog and will wait to see what you provide us next week. You are creative and God is using you to show His love to the world. Have a great week!

You know something I learned -on 10/18/2021 My brother died in a car accident. He was putting up hallow decorations on the fence, I looked out the window with a glimpse. His dog got out and my mother went berserk, he tried to talk to her. She however was pulling the dog back to the back yard. Several minuets later I saw his car drive down the road not knowing it was for the last time. I didn't get a chance to speak to him, that night he died. I don't know if I completely accept he's not coming home. I learned in the days that followed that people don't see things from another persons perspective but from our own. If someone had good intentions to you, you may think that want something from you. I realized that the moments we have here and now are important. To make the best of them with goodness, happiness, love, consideration right now. Not to let bitterness, scorn and evilness posses the moments. We only have the right now we are not promised a forever. Its difficult to speak to people when they are full of their own contempt even when you have good intentions. I really like all your videos and they are always a goodness!! thank you

yes that they are, we tried a few late ones this year but, i don't know they were not the best unless that just has to do with how long we let them grow. the chair is one of the best things ever 😊

we cut our hair to the length that we like and that works best for us or is easier for us to work with since we wear the shawl 😊
Had to ask from curiosity even though not common where I am. Do the men and boys ever do dishes or clean? Also, what arrangements are made for when you are sick and unable to clean? oh yes all good :) in the community kitchen no their homes yes. for sick it depends if you broke your leg or anything serious then you are just exempt from dishes and don't need to get someone else to do it :) i'm sorry but, i don't quite know what you mean by printed material...

You dry out the seeds at what temperature and how long?
my mom washed them, let them fry then into the oven for around 3 hours but, that depends since oven vary after they are dry she roasted them to her liking 😊
