- The first (of hopefully many) Christmas vlogs is up, even though the two main reasons why i filmed were a total flop but, let's be real it happens to all of us one time or another.
i still attempted to do other Christmas related things, really small things i should say but, non the less festive things.

Hi Giselle, I admire your dedication to taking walks with Kona. Your cheeks were so rosy! Your Christmas songs reminded me of your Hutterite Song video from last year which is only songs. I played it last December every night to soothe me to sleep. Your choir group sounds so heavenly. Thanks for the mid-week vlog. Even though you were expecting to film your planned activities it goes to show you that your viewers don’t mind. Whatever you share is always delightful!

Came across you channel and I have fell in love. I am binge watching. There is so much bad stuff in the world but when I watch your videos it all seems to disappear. A lot of people could learn a lot from you and your colony. We are all put where we are suppose to be in life but if I could change I would want to be in a colony like yours. God has put me here and I am so proud of where I am at but when I look at how all of you get a long and work together I want that in my life. It is just me and my daughter. The things of this world has took control of us and I am trying to follow God once again. I am glad you are placed for me to watch. I give all praise to God. Be blessed and be safe. Giselle, You are so fortunate to live a simple life that’s set aside from the stress of the rest of our world. Always Lots of Hard work but everything taken care of with no worries about bills and money. True happiness enjoying a simple life of God, nature, family, good food, and fellowship. The songs that are sung with no instruments other than the melody of your voices is just beautiful.

We don't start decorating until the 17th, when we start singing the O antiphons at evening prayer. But we don't turn on the Christmas lights until vespers of Christmas Eve. After midnight mass we place Baby Jesus in the manager...we have about 30 manger/creche allover the monastery.
Then we celebrate Christmas all week with the 1st days free...or as much as we can. We don't sing Christmas songs until Christmas day!
Please send the snow! I miss real winters!

One of my favorite songs, so beautifully done! I so love watching you and Kona walking in the snow, it's so quiet and peaceful. We don’t usually get snow until February or March but I grew up in NY and went to nursing school in Niagara Falls with lots of snow. I am having a blah - blah and overwhelming week. But after watching the vlog, I went to that version of Noel and decided to sing along. See, these vlogs put me out of my small things and into your small things, which turned into worship things. I have a feeling that whenever we worship thru songs that warm light shines up into Heaven somehow and we can be changed and blessed from that new closeness.

Not sure the correct name but the song “Oh Beautiful Star of Bethlehem” is the first song in your Hutterite Choir Christmas songs video. A few weeks ago my precious calico kitty Named Mamma Kitty was dying. She was 18-21 years old. I had her for 14 years I Laid on the floor with her, held her paws and played that video as she was taking her last breaths. This song played while she was dying.
