I thought I heard Opie laughing when you were telling that demon story. I don't think your back is the real problem here. You just put in too much effort. Just wait until you really get old. My heating pad gets a lot of use. Congratulations, Paige!!! Take it easy. Thanks for the ride. Safe travels, and God bless.

Mr. Kurt, you got all those high school students around you and you were even thinking about loading that music trailer, that my boy is on you. I have worked with the Boy Scouts for many years, they know if I am on the scene, they are going to be doing some loading, unloading and setting up their own camp! They will also be helping the younger boys too, that’s the rules(in my rule book). This old man has earned his place. They know it and I know it, take it or leave it. S@me thing when they need help moving a car that does not run(broke down or otherwise), trailer shows up, the boys get cracking, my job is moving the car, point A to point B, you load and unload.

i learned this from a old school trucker when trucks where made of wood & drivers where made of steel ,, the next time your back goes out,, first take three(3) Ibuprofen, what it does is reduce
the inflammation & ease pain,, next take a 2x4 [a little longer than your foot, three in. in front & back of your foot} set it down on the floor by your drivers door near the clutch , but not to interfere
with the clutch operation, & set your left foot on top of that 2x4 while running down the road or sitting ,, also add heat from a heating pad ,, what it does it helps relieve the pressure off your back plus help alien your back,, i was told by an osteopath to get one leg higher than other, in these matters i have seen drivers put their foot on the dash,, this little trick works, you'll feel a pop or feel a crack or you may even hear it go back into it's position,, try it , it does work

I’ve had back spasms problems all my life and found out that walking and a heating pad work the best…icy hot helps a little…lucky for me I walked all day on my job so once I got my shoes on I could get to work,,,setting killed me…getting in and out of my pickup was hard but in a couple weeks I pretty much was back to normal.hope you feel better soon..ps putting my socks on I had to lay down for back support and to put my shoes on I had to use one of those pick up tools old people use to grab stuff from the ground with out bending…😎🇺🇸

I'm the same way you are Kurt. In all the years that I drove truck, I very rarely sat down at a table in a restaurant
and ate. The few times that I did do it was when I had a fairly long layover, or if I ran into someone I knew and
had plenty of time. Otherwise it was grab something and head back out to the truck and eat, or if I didn't have
a lot of time, I'd just eat on the fly... The few times I did do it, it was nice, but it was just more relaxed in the truck.

Yes, the socks are a bitch and a half. Going in toilet also is complicated and oh plus so many other things...
Mentally it seems that u're coping well with all that *hit.

I grew up on a farm and spent over 35 years working in trucking. I agree with your comment about belly aching. I’ll add one more observation. Get a group of either together at table having coffee and they’ll be complaining about how they’re going broke when one of them decides to stir things up and starts to brag about all the high paying loads they’re hauling or how they sold their crop at the top of the market and are wondering what to do with all the money they’ve made.

My hubby decades ago sat in a truck seat with busted spring on left side. Drove 10 days like that. When got home couldn’t hardly move. I saw a chiro local already so called & doc got him right in. Said tore up irritated left side. Bed couch rest 3 weeks took a bit longer. It too felt better to walk a bit but only short periods then back on couch.
He had told the small company owner about the seat when first got in the truck a few weeks prior they said couldn’t afford a new seat right now. When he got injured filed a workmens comp claim cuz they were such aholes about it. He collected it for 6 weeks after quitting and got all doc visits paid for.
He was younger than you. I think you’re very lucky might have been a lot worse?

It looked like you were moving a little gingerly at the beginning of the video. Been there v- except my injury resulted from doing some maintenance on a trailer rather than the shop authorizing the repairs to be made. I guess that was a career ender for our wanna be maintenance manager after the owner found out about the issue leading up to the OSHA investigation. I was off work for 3 weeks, and as soon as I completed physical therapy, I bailed on that company. And LUNGS! YUM - YUM! Try those with some hot sauce.

Well buddy, I can tell you from all the years of construction work, my back is gone. One of the worse things to happen is to lose the mobility in your back. As for my experience, stay the hell away from Chiroprators. They might ease some pain but they damn sure can not solve the problem. I had one of those quacks put me to sleeping in a chair for over six weeks sitting straight up and not in a recliner which I don't have in my house. With one push of her hands on the center of my back, she instantly caused me to have costochondritis. Look it up. Not fun to have. You probably have muscle strain. Take it easy and some Tylenol .

I liked the bad alien line. Good luck with the back. Mick London
