    I agree completely with your assessment of the loose stick brother, but the hyabusa is more than just the "looser feel" the way the contact hits the micro-switch is one apex point, rather than the whole piece that goes on the shaft.. i LOVE this design, but i hate the loose feel... so i switched the 1.1lb spring with a 2.0 and problem solved. Percision greater than a JLF in my opinion, with the stiffness of a JLF.

      Where did you get the spring? The loose feel is really what's been bothering me about my RAP 4.

      i took it from my Madcatz te2+ you can buy them online or if you get lucky find the right kind at a hardware store... search for newyorkgames.com... i'm not sure if that's the exact name but google it and you'll find it.

    I just got into my first fighting game with KI and first time using a stick. After some hours I just felt like the joystick was too loose, couldn’t get certain inputs consistent without being very dramatic. Didn’t feel precise. Attempting my first mod using a sanwa stick and this was very helpful for me cause I was nervous about opening up my only stick!

    At the bottom of the stick is a E style spring clip and a pair of snap ring pylers is the right tool for the job.

  • @ernest5640
    @ernest5640 5 лет назад +3

    The reason why it feel loose, you have to change the spring inside the lever.

  • @nh3heathen348
    @nh3heathen348 7 лет назад +4

    To remove that clip easily with no fear of it flying away to get lost use snap ring pliers.

    Hey,
    Thanks for posting this. IMO GREAT video!!!
    This video played automatically after I watched a video trying to explain basically the same thing. You have no idea how much appreciation I had from the second this video started. Your clarity in speaking is what all youtubers need. The video that brought me here had a guy that must have learnt English as his second language and as fine as his command of the vocabulary was... It is just so refreshing to hear someone speak clearly and decisively.
    #2, Great explanation and video quality. I'm expecting my first fight stick to arrive tomorrow sometime and I had so many questions about modding! I was slightly nervous... (I shouldn't have been... I've been building and maintaining computers for over 20 years... not to mention things like modding xbox's...) After seeing your video... I have very little worries about changing components if I'm not happy with them. I actually ordered this same arcade stick... (360/xb1/pc?) Fucking fantastic brother.
    Thanks for this video... I'll check out what else you got... and I may subscribe!

    No need to remove the e-clip from the stick. I'm sure this has been pointed out, but you could have just removed the ball top and it would have been just fine.

  • @rentaku2692
    @rentaku2692 5 лет назад

    Good video, but I dont quite get why you didnt just take the balltop off the joystick. When I was replacing the parts on my f500, I just used a flathead to keep the shaft in place and then manually unscrewed the top. Then once the top is off the sticks housing should slide clear and you wont have as many parts lying around that could get lost.

  • @aquabreak3314
    @aquabreak3314 5 лет назад +1

    TL;DR - do not follow the part where he removed the lever, its wrong. just unscrew the ball topand 4 screws the hold the entire thing and you can remove the entire lever.
    So i followed your video so button replacevment was great.
    installing the new lever too.
    but i realized something crucial in the way you removed the stock lever (stick).
    i removed the C metal thingy, spring went wild and flew away now that lever is useless due to a missing spring.
    i realized you just have to unscrew the balltop - remove the 4 screws holding the entire housing - and you should be able to remove everything without the need for the stick to fall out.

      1 more question is it octogonal or square? i used to play tekken 3 bck in the 90's and it fell really strange when i play with the hori pro V so im guessing when i played bck in the days it was prolly on a octogonal stick. And if you have suggestion for octogonal stick and if it fits on the hori V Thx bud im trying to come bck in the fighting game world lol

    • @Eldurz
      @Eldurz  6 лет назад

      its octagonal, you can hit the QC pretty easy with it. i find myself sometimes doing them without intent but you just have to be deliberate with your inputs. great stick though. and welcome back to the fgc!
