Thank you! Made the switch, and man does the Sanwa lever feel so much better than the stock one included with the Rap4

@@RequiemOfSoloit just feels better overall. Hayabusa feels kinda hollow. Hard to describe. Sanwa feels higher quality. And for me the sanwa feels lighter and easier to move. Hayabusa needs more force.

So, did it along with this video. Ran into a lil snag. The Sanwa jlf I has was prolly a clone cause of a few issues:
    1) the square gate WOULD NOT come off. I ended up using wire cutters to cut em off.
    2) where the prongs are for the joystick, there was a plastic piece beneath it, sheilding access to me plugging the stick in. Used a razor to cut that one.
    3) the octogate was HARD to put on. Had to use a wrench and bang it a few times til it snapped in place. That thing is in there for good. No lie.
Today is when I learned that Sanwa stuff inside the Madcatz SE sticks are clones.
Anyway, despite these mishaps, I was able to put the stick on with your help. Thank you.

How do I disconnect the wiring? It seems fragile and on mine it’s kinda hard to pull off. I don’t wanna break it

I thought i read somewhere that the sanwa jlf wouldn't fit and didn't bother for years. About to go switch out joysticks right now

Hey Mr.Sujano i have a quick question hopefully you can give a super quick answer. i have the sanwa jlf with 5 pin connect (looks similar to yours) im trying to connect the 5pin cable connector to the 5 pins of the joystick but it feels like it stops half way and im worried to put any more pressure. Wanted to ask did you have to use force to connect the pin connectors? I'm just worried that its stopping half way cause something i dont know. If you can help with any insight that would be amazing!

Thanks for the informative video. I've wanted to replace the stock Hayabusa stick with Sanwa in my HRAP4 for a while. With Street Fighter 6 mania in full swing, I feel now's the time. I have a question. I put Sanwa OBSF-30 push buttons in the same arcade stick in February of 2018. They are still fully functional. Should I look into replacing the buttons too? Or, should I wait until the buttons stop functioning? I have buttons on-hand and can replace them at my discretion. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thank you!

The buttons will hopefully still be good, but you could always pop the caps off the buttons to clean them

The screw holes in RAP4 mounting bracket 2:20 don't seem to be threaded.
How does the whole JLF stay securely fasten to the cover plate by the four screws 3:17 without using glue, or having four bolt nuts beneath RAP4 mounting bracket to hold the screws?
    Just curious
    Thanks

I found that in Hayabusa, after the lever micro switch clicks, the actuator still has a distance to hit the gate. Is it Sanwa the same?

Hey are the steps the same on all Hori sticks particularly speaking the R.A.P. N Soul Calibur VI Edition?

    • @jtr990
      @jtr990 4 года назад

In a nutshell, yes. The difference between the RAP 4 Kai and the RAP N (Soul Calibur VI included) is you can remove the top panel without issues (and without damaging the warranty sticker).

I play a lot of Tekken, I have the Hori Rap 4 Hayabusa, stick is too loose. What joystick do you recommend? I heard someone said a Sanwa JLF Joystick with a 2lb spring. How do you make Sanwa Joysticks stiffer? Because I don't want to buy a Korean lever.

Idk why is the hayabusa stick so trash. Just 1 day of wavedashing in tekken 7. Theres a problem when i hold the stick forward it feels like a part(spring?) became loose then when i release it goes back to its place.

Honestly the Obsidian feels like a higher quality stick than the RAP4. The Hori is less expensive and lighter, but either one is an amazing pick. Two of the best sticks on the market.
