FACT: The chair next to the jukebox in the Elvis room was where Johnny sat being interviewed, I think filmed around in '99, for the "End of the Century" documentary.

I wonder what Brian Wilson thought of 'Rockaway beach'. I was really impressed when I first got 'Rocket to Russia',and heard the RAMONES singing harmony as a very obvious tribute to the Beach Boys.
He liked Rockaway Beach but wished there were more California girls there.

Considering how Johnny like his music stripped down and minimalist without clutter(remember how much he hated Phil Spector's over the top production of End of the Century), quite the contrast that his house is rammed with SOOOO MUCH stuff almost to the point of clutter!. Not judging or saying it's bad, but just the contrast is fascinating is all.

Yes! Johnny and Joey both loved Marc Bolan & T.Rex (picture next to the paul McCartney autograph). I knew joey did due to the mention in do you remember rock'n'roll radio," but Marc's influence went further. 😎🎸

This is a lovely intro into Johnny’s and Linda’s home however I don’t think I’ve ever seen a photo where Johnny is actually smiling

a few photographs do exist of JR smiling. in fact, he barely can keep from laughing when asked about DEE DEE's career change to HIP HOP. I think that was in 'End of the Century'. the documentary, not the LP. a film of which Johnny said, "it's accurate. it left me disturbed". a MUST SEE for all fans. tacked onto the end, Tommy goes thru even more personal recollections. naming the authors of various songs. Dee Dee wrote a load of RAMONES songs.
Glad to see Johnny had a Marc Bolan and T.rex poster above the lamp! Ramones were huge T.rex fans.

the RAMONES were the most unfortunate rock band ever. there are guys from the '60's that are still plugging .very sad ,between the cancer and the junk. nobody deserves that. I will check out the report here that Marky died. for the record, all 4 original members are gone. they got a record deal in '74. around the dawn of a new Century, they were all gone, rest their souls.

I am crushed Every time I see or hear about Rock n rollers, whom I associate with the place and scene they come from, and my fantasy of them is welded to the place of their origin, whether it’s Liverpool, Manchester, New York, Detroit, any place in the south say they ultimately live and love LA more than any place. It especially hurts when I contrasted their music and my idealization of it contrasts to what I thought of as West Coast rock. I’m not from America , and as much. I secretly know I’d also love LA I still see swimming pool decks, bilkinis , lounge chairs, fake tans, plastic teeth, wigs, BMWs, cocaine and fake songs about love and understanding.

I sorta remember reading a story that Johnny and Linda were on their way home from the grocery store and a fan came up to Johnny and he tried to give the grocery bags to Linda. She wouldn't carry them and he didn't think a fan should see him carrying grocery bags so he put them in the street which is gross. After now seeing their house and incredible collection, I do not doubt that it probably happened. True rock stars!!! Linda is now in my top 3 of living Ramones!!!! (the other two in order 1. Richie, 2. C.J.) also , Buffalo 66 is a great film!!!
Linda is responsible for alot of the turmoil in the Ramones. and the only living Ramones are CJ. Ritchie and Marky. Linda was a super groupie.
