I need these on my 1989 Honda CRX HF.
So, you have to open the doors out before you can lift them up. Then you have to apparently make sure the opened doors are out before lowering them to close them. I had originally thought that they just opened up from a close position like a Lamborghini. Looks good. The owner of my gym has a C8 Stingray with scissor doors and I asked him how easily they went up and down. He said, his wife need two hands to pull it down while he can do it with one. Both of them are gym rat types so I wonder if he has a different brand of door mounts that his very strong wife would need two hands to pull it down.

behind the rubber boot there is a connector on the frame of the car and with a long flat head screwdriver its a matter of releasing the clip that seals the rubber connector. hope that can help 😁

Just a quick question you said that the doors can be fixed back to normal what about all the cut parts, how do you take it back to the normal opening when you've made some adjustments by cutting stuffs
The brackets that were cut to make room for the new Vertical door hinge are not crucial for the stock hinges to be bolted back on and can be alligned the same way to allow the car to open and close like it did from OEM.
Looks like you are not replying to comments, but I would like to know which spoiler is that at the end of the video. Is it a Z06 copy?

What you are asking is impossible because of how the stock doors are. The vertical door kit is the next best kit.

I see it like this. Lambo *STILL* puts vertical doors on their flagship, McLaren puts a variation on their models. There is NOTHING wrong with putting them on another mid engined sports car.

I’m very confused with the point of these doors. How does this help ingress or egress. I think this falls under the saying, just because you can doesn’t mean you should. I do think they did a very professional install. Well done in that regard. Cheers!

What’s the point of getting these doors which open like a normal door (enough to let a person in and out) and then goes up? Unless your just parked with the doors open (which no ones does) I don’t see the point of getting these.
The car culture guys that want to make a Corvette into a Lamborghini, even though the Stingray is better than a Lamborghini as a actual daily driver. Its actually quite hilarious that people are brainwashed for looks.
Because it looks cool at car shows, and makes it easier in some situations to get in/out. But it's mostly for show imo.

The ideal kit for me would be doors that work like the Koenigsegg's doors, called dihedral synchro-helix actuation doors. That’s the ultimate way ( ruclips.net/video/zbDgIO1_9Jg/видео.htmlsi=FX3OGcuudMAmINzz ) a door should work (in my opening. Short of this, I think the door should still be capable of fully opening to its max OE space when not swinging up to vertical.
I agree with the other commentary, what is the point in opening door almost all the way just to then lift it.... again ,,, makes no sense
Because those of us with big feet, keep kicking the door upon exiting, even when it’s wide open! Raising the door out of the way makes it easier to get in and out. I literally knock my door every time! Lol, if you have small feet or are smaller, you won’t have this issue. And it’s also a show piece for conversation at car meets.

I would NEVER devalue my C8 by putting those rice doors on it. You don't see Ferrari, Huracan or Porsche owners installing this. Leave that for the kids cars.

We copied it and it looks great. Hell, we even copied the Ferrari engine to create the z06. But you purists want to complain about the doors? Please take a seat.

but its WAY MORE EXPENSIVE specially if to driven regularly. this is the best you can get with as close you can get to a super car feel with lambo doors for way less

Every aftermarket kit is like that. Because they weren’t designed with the necessary geometry to pivot straight upwards, they have to swing out to get clearance to go upwards.
